@@debra6671 I agree. The Bee Gees songs were to the movie the way John Travolta's dancing was to the movie. Both complemented the other and the result was a fantastic movie that has endured for so many years. I still get mesmerized when I hear those songs. John can still dance, just watch him on the current Capital One commercial dancing and dressed as Santa! LOL.
Travolta has suffered so many huge losses to cancer, you have to admire his resilience facing the pain of losing a few loved ones to that horrible disease, and became a Hollywood legend after having some ups and downs in his career too. God bless him, he's lived quite a life, and this iconic movie was just the beginning.
One of the best of all time ,John Tarvolta is such a multi talented person with an adaptive qualities which has kept him in the spotlight for such a long time.
1977 one of the best years of my life. Love the disco era with all the awesome music and dancing. I was 17 years old when this came out and had the greatest time of my life going to clubs and dancing my ass off!! I thank God for letting me grow up then. 🙏
What was not to love about the 70 era? Not only was 77 the year Saturday night fever came out, but it was also the year Star Wars came out. I went back-and-forth back-and-forth to the theaters to watch both movies in the course of the summer.

I saw him in "Welcome Back Kotter" he played Vinny Barbarino, I also saw him in "Boy in a Plastic Bubble", I like him in "Saturday Night Fever" as Tony Manero, as well as, in "Staying Alive", and "Grease" 1 he played Danny Zuko along side Olivia Newton-John as Sandy. I also saw Fran Dresher as the "Nannie/Nanny".
My two favorite movies of John Travolta or phenomenon and urban cowboy I seen Urban cowboy more times than any other movie I probably seen Urban cowboy 89 million times
Can't help but drift back to the 70's whenever Saturday Night Fever comes to mind. I love the Capital One Santa flashback with John Travolta also! I went to school with Paul Pape. Charlotte High, Rochester, NY back in the early 1970's. He was not only a good actor in our Music Theater productions with our music director Jimmie Lobaugh and his assistant Ms. Bloom. Playing in many productions, but probably most remembered for "Guys and Dolls." He also was a fine soccer goalie on the varsity soccer team. I was on the junior high team back then. 😃
I think i liked him best in "Grease". I think he should let his hair grow back ( if he can ). The chemistry between him & the beautiful Olivia Newton John really showed thru. 🙏❤☺
I did not watch SNF but Karen was absolutely lovely in All My Children. The love plot between her character and Phil & Charles' was epic. Kudos to the writers of that time.
When they made welcome back Carter and the studio audience was there and it was the first one and people didn't know what welcome back Carter was and it brought everybody out one by one and then they put on John Travolta and all the all the the girls went crazy.😅
I loved this movie but i grew up watching this movie on tv HEAVILY edited and when i watched a few years back on prime was completely shocked at some of the unedited scenes lol
Yes it was R rated originally. Don't forget Urban Cowboy. I loved him in Pulp Fiction. Didn't realise how many Relatives were in SNF. Some in Grease too. I met his brother Joe at the Camp he does for SE kids.
Love this video so much nostalgia hit!! How are you doing today 😊😊😊😊😘😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ And my 2 favorite John Travolta movies are Look who’s talking (1989) and Bolt when he did the voice of Bolt!! It has Miley Cyrus in Bolt as well!!😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
How different it was back then in Bensonhurst. I do miss it and can't wait to die to be with so many people that made the 70's the most wonderful time to live on earth ever.
Now this is the way these videos should be done. I detest when they drone on and on about someone and it takes so long to get through the entire video. I will fast-forward through it. I was ready to do that here...but I didn't have enough time!
I saw John Travolta in a recruiting commercial for the US Army. It must have been about 1970. When I saw him again in Welcome Back, Kotter I remembered him.
Absolutamente fantástico, esse filme foi uma verdadeira febre aqui no Brazil, todos queriam ser como o Travolta, dançar como ele, ter os cabelos iguais aos dele!!! Marcou época e vidas por aqui.
Nobody mentioned it but I really like John Travolta in Phenomenon. I think today most people under 60 know him more for this Pulp Fiction role than Saturday Night Fever.
It’s pretty neat that the Travolta family got involved I. This film. This is one of my favorite movies ever what made it great is the BeeGee songs. I ❤ it!!!!🎉

John Travolta's breakout role in Saturday night fever was like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky 1. Absolutely the best hands down!
I remember waiting in line with friends and my sister to see this in Philly when it was new, I was 22 and it was pure magic.
Gene Siskel’s favorite movie. He even bought the iconic white suit.
You nailed it!
He’s never made a better movie
He was already a known star by then having been in Carrie and Welcome Back Kotter.
I loved him in Saturday Night Fever, Grease, and Pulp Fiction.
