- This footage of me and my students at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. In this video we go to what was thought by Joe Zias and most others, to be Cave 3, where the famous Copper Scroll was found. Several of us are doubting that this is the correct location of Cave 3. I will post more on this later...

How do you know the scrolls weren’t already in safe and secret possession somewhere and then placed there after WW2 as a hoax archeological discovery?

Dr. Tabor I might be interested in taking your Dead Sea scroll course, but would like to know if you look specifically at the message contained in the Gospel and how that compares to the content of the scrolls?
My understanding from your promotional video for the course is that you present the scroll people as a sort of precursor to John, and possibly even the origin of the Jesus movement itself.
The message contained in the Gospel revolves around good news about a house of prayer for all people. The Jewish people were chosen, but were they meant to be the only people? The texts clearly suggest otherwise, but the Dead Sea scrolls seem to be very mush still in the “we are God’s chosen, and this is a Jewish temple” frame of mind. There is a foundational difference between the scrolls and the Gospel, and I would like to know how you reconcile this major difference?
I ‘m also trying to understand what makes you any different from a Texan willing to sell a story about something that isn’t true? In your previous temple video, you state the following:
“That’s why, to cut to the New Testament… So what does it say in the Gospel of John?… Joseph of A. was told when he took the body down there is an unused, unfinished tomb over here nearby. Let’s put him there and block it up, and after the feast we will come and permanently burry him. They are following Jewish law.”
These are your own words Dr. Tabor. It isn’t written anywhere that Joseph was told they would return to rebury Jesus, nor does Jewish law demand reburial. Taking the body down for burial before Passover is following Jewish law.
But what is faith? How many people here have actually read any of the scrolls? Probably none, and yet everyone here has to use blind faith that your translation of the scrolls is accurate. I think more than anything it’s all the misinformation that draws me here. Essentially any discussion on religion revolves around whether there is any truth to it, but do you realize that by claiming Paul is being untruthful about his conversion experience, you are claiming that Rome’s conversion to Christianity and the rise of Islam are also based on untrue stories?

Sir, let me give it a thought. Hmmmm. I will say this way: things of the big stages do not happen without a reason or a purpose or architect of a play. If they look as an accident, then they were made that way to look as accidents. So, what I am saying is this: (I may make a video on this) Israel was created 1948 with a huge kill of Palestinians since 1917.....30 years of genocidal conflicts.... Well then push to break it through in WW2 with holocaust which was announce in the newspapers of the US since 2015 or what...step by step....with 6 millions Jews being killed. What??? What I am saying is this: Dead Sea SCROLLS were most likely placed there and found was directed step by step....some could be accidental. But, all was set up, so that CREATION OF ISRAEL WOULD HAVE MORE LEGITIMACY ..... This is how the WORLD WORKS.....
@@vlastyl7 True. But how would you be to fool all of those archeologists? Certainly they would be able to tell if something was newly (placed) there.
@@CKennethBauer Hi buddy, honour and grace. Please understand, I salute to dr Tabor for all he has done for academia and Christianity, but.... Archeologist did not find scrolls, they dug out pottery and other finds...Main scrolls were found by so called small shepherd's children and brought to the black market (it would be kind of stupid to say that it was Mossad agents who found it)...and only then the frenzy began...in this presented video about the cave 3 no reasonable man would believe that story of night dream of a Texan-hungerian fellow who came to the cave nr. 3 as directed in a dream and made a discovery......HOW NAIVE AND BLINDED DO YOU NEED TO BE TO BELIEVE IT....Would there be some genuine finds of some small fragments somewhere? Possibly...do not argue against.
@@CKennethBauer Since then, no new texts have been found during archeological excavations, but many have turned up on the black market, apparently plundered from caves.....(So, last archeological find was at a cave of horror with many skeletons and coins etc....) since then - NONE.

@@vlastyl7 Again true, Even that would take quite some organizational talent. To me the whole Israel issue is questionable. But it did all happen.
