    You forgot to mention that, despite not being the luxury of buying top class players regularly like the other top clubs like Man Utd. (Or other clubs in the world), he was consistent with his squad on a consequtive manner year after year(if not winning the title for last decade or so). Not to mention, Arsenal constantly lost their top players to the other clubs without replacing any of them with a world top class player. Arsene Wenger always believed in his players abilities and tried to make them world class. He is the legendary manager of all time in the world.

    I am an arsenal fan and I thought i had exhausted all the UA-cam videos of Wenger's and was quite hesitant to watch it but glad I did..
    * You could've included the part where he took the club to the Emirates and with that the financial crisis n having to buy cheap unknown players and yet fighting with clubs with newly rich money investing owners..how he groomed young talents...

    Ive always liked Arséne Wenger. I had no idea that he was such a pioneer of nutrition and healing/recovery methods which like you said was a huge part in revolutionizing the modern English game! In my book I put him top 10 all time for European coaches and definitely top 5 for English coaches. Even folks who aren’t football fans (mostly referring to American Soccer fans) and don’t even know the name Arséne Wenger but see a photograph or interview with him and immediately connect that face with Arsenal. Anyway just my opinion but definitely borders on fact hahaha. As per usual Great video RabonaTV (Adrian)!!⚽️⚡️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    Arsene did do a lot for the premier league and I cannot imagine the prem without him, but I will be looking forward to looking forward to a proper London Derby next season. Plus an Arsenal without Wenger could only serve interest

    Awesome video and i know this is 2 years late but i have to mention that Arsenal faded away only because of money spent for the stadium which in turn, forced Arsenal to rely mainly on the academy and buying young players only to be sold for profit. Arsene Wenger showed loyalty to Arsenal and had the stadium not been built, i believe that Manchester United and Arsenal would of been battling it out for the league for at least 10 more years

    He took Arsenal to the top 4 almost all the time, and now they sit on 20. The people who held banners with WengerOut hoardings should be very ashamed.

    The period can be divided into pre-stadium build versus new stadium project. The new stadium finances was the equivalent of not getting a world class player every season. Only now in 2021 are the costs of the new stadium being less significant. He was not a good tactician but one greatest strategists.

    Totally undervalued by arsenal fans he is the sole reason we actually have our new stadium one of the prerequisites of the bank loaning arsenal the money was that Arsene Wenger remained manager , he is literally the reason this club has half the trophies it has , has the stadium it has and the utter disrespect shown to him makes me fkn hate half of arsenal fans , i honestly believe we have some of the worst fans in the premier league , utter disgraces with very short memories and it's one of the reasons i very very rarely travel to the emrites to watch games .

    Super thorough and objective look at AW and his legacy. Really well done as are all your vids.!! The only thing lacking IMO is around 10:30 when you (correctly) divide his career into 2 halves. Would be worth noting that in the second, less successful half, he was restricted in the transfer market by Arsenal's financial obligations to pay off Emirates Stadium.... and not (or at least not entirely) down to his decline as a manager.

  • @gambet0007

    His downfall was exactly what made him great in his first half of career at arsenal. He was also little unlucky to bank on young players who never really stayed consistent enough to make it into all time greats list. He had plenty of those, Fabrigas, Nasri, Van persi, Adebayo, Lord Bentner, wallcott etc tbh, he probably had the best young squad for a very long time and it just never panned out into successful long senior career. He also focused too much on "proving a point", he wanted to play football in only "certain way". There were times when arsenal were so focused on passing that they would pass right in front of the goal instead of shooting. Honestly that was annoying, beautiful but annoying. Also, I have no idea what happened to their scouting network but for life of me I can't understand how they couldn't get a decent goalkeeper for amount of cash they had. A bad goalkeeper is a fatal flaw, not often talked about but goalkeeper is literally backbone of the team.
    Some of this is his own fault and some of it is just bad luck.

  • @philipgarnier8808
    @philipgarnier8808 4 роки тому

    Great vid. Would have made clear in the second half of his arsenal career he maintained champions League without spending the money that his competition was spending. He also came very close to winning the title twice and only a leg break to Eduardo stopped it. I'd say his achievement in the second half is almost as impressive as his first half. No other manager in the world could have done what he did in keeping arsenal in top 4 and competing in Europe on such a small budget

    You take a lot of your style and tactics from Jimmy Conrad. Same camera tricks, same upload times. I'm wondering, how much do you consider Jimmy Conrad a legendary role model for yourself? On a scale from 1 to Lucas Moura if you will.

    • @RabonaTV
      @RabonaTV  6 років тому +9

      Here's a long elaboration for you:
      This comment frustrates me, which if that was your intention, then congratulations. It discredits my work and vision, and paints me as a copycat. It's kind of lazy to say that two dudes that sit in front of a camera and talk about football are similar in style.
      Not sure what you mean by "camera tricks", considering our videos and style (from editing style to delivery) are completely different besides both covering football. I sit in front of a green screen and have entire segments that I'm not on camera. Jimmy sits in his set and has graphics that come in and out - something that myself, as well as any news channel has as well. If you look at his videos from before I started working with him in 2016, you'll see that he wasn't using many graphics/PNGs, while I was... here's the link to our first collaboration to illustrate that: ua-cam.com/video/pmkG01V_kkM/v-deo.html
      Then Mike K. got more involved, and he started adding more graphics and polish to his edits and they look killer now! Mike and I watch similar channels on youtube and have similar interests, so we probably get inspiration from the same people (H3H3, etc.) for our editing style. As well, I worked at WatchMojo for 3 years and developed my delivery style there, as well as my knowledge of UA-cam as far as publishing times, metadata, thumbnails, etc.
      So no, I don't take "style and tactics" from Jimmy.
      As far as publishing time, you'll find most of my videos are up at 5:30 am PST or earlier because I have more of an English audience than a US one, but this one I got out later because I needed to put some finishing touches on it.
      Jimmy was a great mentor in my early days when I would collaborate with him, and I look forward to doing so again in the future! Haven't done so since about... December? But hopefully we'll have something in the works soon.
