I use the translucent one to set under my eyes but if I use it all over I end up looking ashy? Not sure what the best word is but definitely too light for me. I have medium skin tone
I use the original on every skin tone as a makeup artist and never had issues with a white cast ! Is the way we use it I guess ! ❤️ but they are truly translucent ✨ I got honey in the mail from Laura mercier and today I’m trying it for the first time but they created it mostly for olive skin tones and baking for tanner skin 🙌🏻😊❤️
I think it can white cast if you use too much, but not if you use it lightly to set the skin! That's awesome that you've had such good luck with it as an artist!
The honey powder is meant for medium to tan (but seen deep skin use it) and it's a yellow powder, Translucent powder is better for you because you are quite fair.
So the honey shade looks just like the banana powder shade, but the banana powder made my makeup looked cakey although I liked the shade...so will deff try this loose powder!
So I’ve only used the translucent shade, as much as I love how fine they are what I’ve noticed is the white cast when I’ve been taken pictures with flash! I know this for a fact cuz I’ve tried without it (using same makeup ) and no white cast. I wonder if the honey shade doesn’t do that - I’m curious might purchase !
I just ordered honey because of my medium skintone but tbh both look exactly same when applied on the face. I have been using mac next to nothing pressed powder forever and its nice but feels like a drugstore powder. I need something smoother and skin like.
It's the sheer powder brush! I usually can't find it online, but I just found it! amzn.to/2C7UZCC It's my fave brush for powder and I also use it for bronzer almost every single day.
@@SarahBrithinee is it the sheer or regular one? The one I found that’s sheer powder is a pink one and more flat. But the reg powder one looks like it?
Hi, I’m new in the world of makeup and I don’t know why the main ingredient is talk is a problem. Can u explained to me please? I’m looking for a new powder and I just wants to make a good purchase. Thank you !
Thanks for this helpful video. I was so worried that the honey would be too dark for me however I think I will be just fine!
I see a very slight difference. I like them both. The honey does give you a bit of color. I’m so glad I purchased one today!
I think the honey side is slightly warmer!
When I was editing I thought that too! It’s really slight though.
Gorgeous !!! Can’t wait to get my hands on this new shade !!! This is my fav powder !!!
Mine too! It's the best!
I'm African American and the translucent powder is AMAZING on this honey brown skin.😂 I'm mad I waited so long to buy it and it's worth every penny.💖
It really is so good!
I liked the honey side better😊

I am fair too, I have tried the honey, and I love it!

You look more awake with the honey powder 😍
Perfect and just what I needed! Thank you!!!
I cant see a difference. I love Laura Mercier. I lightly powder my face with a big fluffy brush and I never have a problem with a white cast.
I have the translucent one and used it one time years ago to set my face and I looked like a ghost. Never used it again!
Wow, really?! I wonder if maybe you used too much. I get a white cast if there’s too much product, but not if I use a small amount.
@@SarahBrithinee I have tried it under my eyes and I don't like it as an under eye powder either.

Thanks! Your video helped me a lot in choosing the right shade.
I'm medium and the honey powder is perfect))
Im a medium skin tone and I use the translucent one, It has a bit of a white cast unless I set my face with my mac fix plus and its all good!
A great video.... I feel the original translucent one look slightly better on your complexion
I cannot tell the difference of honey vs. translucent on you. So very interesting!

I used the rich vanilla in their mineral powder and they discontinued it. Looking for an alternative. Still haven’t found one. Do you have any ideas?
This was a really helpful video, thank you
Do you use this for under your eye? Or a different one
I just bought the honey , do u use it before makeup or after ??
Help !!!
after
This is so amazing... I saw the result.. But it is quit expensive 😍😍 but I love this. I wana go with hunny sheds!!!
I can't tell the difference either. I have not tired the setting powder. Thanks for the comparison!

Hi Sarah :) great video! How is the honey one now in winter? :)
Ur name is beautiful
EWG's skin deep says that the powder has talc and is given a 7 rating. This is a cult favorite of mine but now I don't know.

I like the original on you.
Translucent one looks better
What brushes did you use to apply?
It's from eco tools. I think it's the large powder brush.

i did not see the difference
Too bad that Talc is the main ingredient
I know... 😐
