    I had to pause the video to give this man his appraisal! (2:35) The way the material is being delivered is top notch, I was kept engaged and always on the edge of my seat as I looked forward to hear what's next.
    Really good job on this one! ❣️

    Did the exam today. Want to say thank you as I felt it went really well. Except messing up a 9 marker as I was unsure what debt factoring was but I feel I aced the 25 markers and every other question. 1 down, 2 more to go.

    Hi Sir,
    Would you ever have to include a visual diagram on the 25 marker such as the Greiner Model of Growth to help illustrate your point? For example, in Economics including e.g. supply and demand diagrams will help get you analysis points. I would greatly appreciate a reply.
    Thanks

      @TakingTheBiz  7 років тому

      No. I also teach A level Economics and in that subject students often draw diagrams to illustrate points, but not in Business. If you get a specific question asking you to draw a supply & demand diagram then fair enough, but I can't envisage a longer question where you would need to draw a diagram to support a point that you are making. Certainly, you would not need to draw Greiner's growth model.

      Also Sir, when writing essays, would you ever write in 1st person in the 25 mark essays for Business as in Economics, writing in 1st person is deemed to be not very good.

      It may not be standard practice, but it would not lose you any marks

    For this question i will definitely speak about handys model for culture (which i learnt from you) however im really confused on how to structure it. would you be able to just reply with a nice structure which i can work on? "A small start-up business has grown over time to become one of the biggest firms in
    its market. To what extent is it inevitable that the culture of a business will change
    over time as it grows significantly?" 25 marks

    isnt there a sixth stage know as growth through alliance?

    • @TakingTheBiz
      @TakingTheBiz  6 років тому

      It depends which source you are using to revise. The sixth stage of the model was added some years after the original theory was published, so text books are divided as to whether they include the sixth stage or not. One of the criticisms of Greiner's model is that there are many growth crisis' that businesses may encounter even after the sixth stage of alliances, so some academics think that the model requires even more stages.
