Haha! Yes, the bees were a surprise. They were pretty high up and not interested in us at all. Had they been closer, we would have avoided the area completely and missed out on some cool stuff!
I’ve been to the apache tear mine before, I gotta tell ya it was awesome. We found some big tears and tumbled them once we got home. Here’s a tip, if you see a square lookin rock in the walls of the mine, go for that. Anyways this video is cool 😁😁
A stamp mill is used for crushing material to remove ore. Basically giant pistons smashing rock. Must have been LOUD! This particular one was used for copper ore. They also pulled gold and silver out of the area.
that creek is incredibly contaminated and I've had to try to warn kids twice to get out of it. once they were very small and sadly the parents didn't speak english

Thoes walls you were at, there used to be running water down there and those walls were hunting blinds for the native amercans

We found a patch of apache tears all.over the ground it was a blast infill my pockets with these stones
I don't see the area where they mined the ore. Where are the mines? Cave or Open Pit !
