    Say goodbye to your weekends as a realtor. NO thanks! I make bank selling insurance online, fully remote and I work when I want, where I want, for however long or short I want (some days it’s 2hrs, some it’s 6+). So it allows time freedom, location freedom and financial freedom. That beats the hell out of being a realtor. I can move anywhere I want and not have to start all over, I make my own schedule, I can work while visiting family or traveling if I choose, and I get paid way more often and regularly than a realtor. And the more I build my book of business, the more passive income I have from residuals (passive income is a GODSEND). That’s my real bread and butter. Im still making full time income from residuals even when I choose to stop working and take some time off. I’ve taken a whole year off from working and was still getting good income every month (from the residuals), more than what a lot of people make hustling 80 hours a week 12 mos a year. And those residuals are for life. I can even pass them on in my will when I go. Insurance is soooo much easier and better. Also, the real estate market is unpredictable and dicey. But society will ALWAYS need health insurance. It’s consistent.

If you resisted doing anything you could possibly fail at, that’s a pretty boring existence of zero accomplishments. Failure is just a part of life; it develops us and teaches us and makes us wiser. So you’re nervous. So what? You can do things scared. Just be a grownup and have some grit. Courage isn’t about having no fear. It’s about owning your fear and doing things that scare you anyway….And PS the insurance exams are way easier than the real estate ones.

    I’ve been a real estate agent and am now an insurance agent. It’s way harder to start real estate and build up a business. So many hours unpaid and waiting hoping for a sale. @@smolpnut5911 man this is a very very hard time to get into insurance as this is a very hard market with majority of carriers have high loss ratios over 100 and in some cases I’ve heard close to 150. The reinsurance market was hit hard and have increased the carriers we write with’s deductibles and that’s transitioning into high premiums and restricting guidelines. I used to attempt to quote a home and most any carrier I had would write it. Now I get like half the quotes I used to since some carriers aren’t even writing new business. However people still need insurance and everyone is shopping this year because of all of this. So I’m still doing good. Just a lot of work requoting renewals. Hope you enjoy it. If you have the drive to call carriers and educate yourself on insurance and become knowledgeable you will be better than most agents I know. I have found being knowledgeable and helpful have helped me close more sales and retain more business as a lot of agents are just salesman and can’t talk knowledgeably about their own products. Or disappear after the sale. Good luck!

    I’m a health insurance agent for BCBS(blue cross blue shield) and I am loving it, however the state test and requirements are really strict and you will need to pay full attention and study as much as possible. The insurance state test is on the same level or a bit more difficult then the realtor test and a bit lower then the lawyers bar exam from what I hear. During October 15 to December 7th is AEP (annual enrollment period) you can easily clear 45-60k on the low end but during this time you also work 12 hr shifts so your hourly is insane as well.

    • @SummerBaby728

      Some corrections: That AEP is only for Medicare Advantage, not all health insurance (not even all Medicare because medigap supplements can be any time of year). I can clear 90K during the AEP working just 5-8 hours a day during those weeks. It’s not always 12 hrs for everyone. Depends on your business model and marketing. And the state exam not even close to the bar. To even compare is a bit insane. There’s a reason law school is 3 years long. Studying for the state health insurance broker exam takes like a month.

    • @Aaron_R
      @Aaron_R 4 місяці тому +1

      You can't compare a realtor exam or insurance exam to to the bar exam. People go to law school for 3 years before taking the bar (6 full time college semesters). People probably study for a couple of months (1-3) before taking realtor exam or insurance exam. I guarantee you a lawyer could easily pass the exam in 1-3 months. The insurance agent or realtor needs 3 years of law school probably to take the bar.

    I am an insurance agent (life & health). I'm confused why he said no competition. So many insurance agents. He is right about distinguishing yourself but plenty of agents out there. Insurance has been increasingly commoditized. People just want the most coverage at the lowest price. If you think it's easy from what he is saying, be careful. 92% of insurance agents leave the industry w/in 5 years.
