  • @ghostoferlock
    @ghostoferlock 2 роки тому +13

    Good information, it's nice how examples and general specifics are said. Many people don't like to understand certain parts of a portfolio, but Doug likes IUL, and explains why, and how it can be useful. That is important, showing how it can help, and how it functions.
    A simple thought for everyone, if you had enough money to take to a fee for service advisor, how much do you think someone with Dougs experience of almost 50 years would be charging ?
    Keep in mind that when you hear of failed policies from a friend or such, the author of this channel didn't put that policy together.

    Doug, thank you so much for sharing this info! I heard about whole life insutance policies being *the* avenue for the rich to gain tax free income years ago, but only after finding your videos have I come to learn the actual details. So many are offering this information as a paid infomercial essentially, meaning to even learn how to handle money, I would have been forced to pay money - not going in the right direction. :p Your videos, however, are so helpful and detailed - and free! :D I've always been of the entreprenurial mindset but a coma in 2010 slowed me down. Now I'm on the way back in the game, and OBVIOUSLY this information is priceless. I will be following all of your advice, and look for more ways to support you and your endevours.
    Thank you again, Doug - you are saving lives, I mean that literally. Both Buffet and Kiyosaki say that we're about to enter a time worse than the Great Depression and that it will last for much longer. Your advice will allow those that listen to begin to structure themselves for ~true~ financial security, and that will keep us from being homeless.

    I appreciate the info and honesty - 99% of IULs are not structured properly, which means they are not benefiting the owner. Or, at the very least, not benefiting them as they could/should be. It is frustrating to see so many people talking up these IUL products without discussing how carefully they must be structured.

    The problem with life insurance is the way it compensates advisors, and is why you dont hear about it. Imagine a hypothetical policy with $2,000,000 cash value, been in force for 20 years. That initial agent got paid 20 years ago. Another advisor might have put you in the usual broker account making 20k a year off a similar account.

Having said that, where you lost me is your reference to Miss America and your referring to funding your investments you refer to choose an advisor that is looking out for”himself and his wife than you and your wife.” My feedback for you is that you choose more inclusive and less male oriented. I suspect that this will generate more subscribers and clients as women are growing investors

    If 2 IUL companies have a similar Comdex ranking and features, should we choose the company with better Index options or Higher caps on Indexes and fixed rate?
    I have a pacific life IUL with 8% cap on S&P and Allianz policy with 10.25% cap on S&P..does higher cap with similar policy expense mean one is better than the other?

      In your case, higher cap is better. If the COI (cost of insurance) is similar, you’re gonna want a company that has the higher cap.
      Example: Transamerica has one that’s @ 15% cap, and a 0.15% floor.
