As far as the Tonys go, there isn’t a specific category for best lyricist, but Best Original Score is awarded to the composer and lyricist, recognizing the hard work of both. Hamilton did win this award.

In a pit, harps are almost always on mic. Although they can be quite loud, they need to give the impression of being gentle. I've personally never been in a pit with an electric harp, but I can totally imagine that for a more "modern music" show like this.
I meant electronic as in a harp patch on a synth. I should have been more clear. I have seen videos of the pit set-up for Hamilton but can't remember if there was a harp or not.

I got to meet Renée in a two-day filming session back in 2018. Gawd, her voice in person is truly "ANGELIC." She is a wonderful, sunshine person. She came up to me and my friend between takes and talked about how her son is getting into the trumpet, so she wanted our "expert opinion" on the best instrument, lessons, and she had all sorts of great questions. You could tell how seriously she takes music. Although we were just extras, all the people there were real musicians, and she respected the talent and expertise we had in our instruments, even if our for-camera playing would never be used. (Studio recordings are always used, even if the person is really playing or singing for the camera.) She was so sweet to all of us, and I love how her face brightened up as she talked about her son. That musical talent is getting passed to a new generation.

Renee Elise Goldberry, prior to Hamilton, was best known for being the fan favorite iteration of Mimi in "Rent." She wasnt the original or in the movie version, but most consider her the definitive actress. My favorite kind of songs are sad love songs so Satisfied is just chef's kiss. I was really looking forward to this week's batch. Helpless & Satisfied. I love the difference between the toast at the start and at the end. Its similiar to your comment on how the "my sister" was different between perspectives. The first time we hear the toast, it is from the outside perspective and she is delivering a good toast, but as soon as she first says the word "Satisfied" we enter her head and POV. So at the end, when we are seeing the toast from her POV, she is screaming and straining to get the words out because its still so hard for her

Like I commented on part 1, I'm really enjoying watching you two react to this. Mortius's dancing and lip-syncing is epic, and I love CF's reactions and facial expressions. You're both just having so much fun, and I am here for it. I also think it's really clever the way you are alternating between channels, so you each get a share of the views and comments.

For the questions about Washington, he was the best man in this, but another thing they got historically acurate is the line from right-hand man "embelishing my elegance and eloquence." Washington was not someone who spoke a lot and is noted in many journals of other soldiers and men he worked closely with. The 2 he worked the closest with were Hamilton and Lafayette. Fun fact!! There is even a journal entry from a soldier detailing when he found both Washington and Lafayette sleeping under a tree with each other under the same coat.
I wish you didn't explain the rewind. Nothing is better than seeing someone's face when they realize what happened. It often takes all the way until Angelica brings Hamilton to Eliza but its such a great moment to watch that realization
Since "Satisfied" shows Angelica's perspective, I don't necessarily think Eliza was so smitten that she misremembers how the introduction happened, I think it's Angelica's feelings projected into the moment, but she hid the pain of giving up this gorgeous man to her sister from Eliza.

17:05 Actually... If you're listening for it, there ISN'T a difference. It sounds different to you because you, yourself, are caught up in the emotions of "Helpless." But if you go back and listen, she sounds kind of stilted and choked up there, which is 100% on purpose. Renée Elise Goldsberry said somewhere (I can't find it because it was almost a decade ago) that shetried to say it the same way both times. It's our perception that changes, not the delivery, and that's part of the magic. I think this particular recording is even better at showing that than the cast album. (Of course, other actresses/directors may choose to play it differently, so this may not apply to some live performances.)

The funny thing about this song is that the whole musical so far has been pretty accurate to history, but then here they make it so ngelica isn't married yet, and has no brothers, even though she already had 2 older ones at this point
Without potentially spoiling that part in the beginning Mortius mentioned where multiple characters say "I love him" always confused me a bit because the actor that plays one of the people saying the line plays two character's and it's their second character that makes the most sense for me to be saying the line but they have the costuming of their first character when they say it. I never understood which character they represented in that moment. Because their first character doesn't really make sense to me for that line so I wonder if it was meant to be a line from their second character but costuming logistics meant they had to look like their first character
I'm pretty sure Renee actually works really hard to keep the deliveries of her lines that are in both songs the same. It can just be hard to tell when watching a live version if you've heard the cast recording a million times. It is very close in this version I listened for it in the reaction on Mortius' channel.
I hear a lot of people say angelica is a bad and selfish sister (in the musical) for allowing eliza to have hamilton while knowing what would happen in the future(not saying 😘), but i think theyre forgetting that angelica could not have had hamilton. Shes the oldest, meaning she has to marry rich. Eliza is younger, meaning it doesnt matter as much with her. (And plus, i dont believe Angelica knew what happens would have happened)

I love the difference between the toast at the start and at the end. Its similiar to your comment on how the "my sister" was different between perspectives. The first time we hear the toast, it is from the outside perspective and she is delivering a good toast, but as soon as she first says the word "Satisfied" we enter her head and POV. So at the end, when we are seeing the toast from her POV, she is screaming and straining to get the words out because its still so hard for her

Like I commented on part 1, I'm really enjoying watching you two react to this. Mortius's dancing and lip-syncing is epic, and I love CF's reactions and facial expressions. You're both just having so much fun, and I am here for it. I also think it's really clever the way you are alternating between channels, so you each get a share of the views and comments.

For the questions about Washington, he was the best man in this, but another thing they got historically acurate is the line from right-hand man "embelishing my elegance and eloquence." Washington was not someone who spoke a lot and is noted in many journals of other soldiers and men he worked closely with. The 2 he worked the closest with were Hamilton and Lafayette. Fun fact!! There is even a journal entry from a soldier detailing when he found both Washington and Lafayette sleeping under a tree with each other under the same coat.
I wish you didn't explain the rewind. Nothing is better than seeing someone's face when they realize what happened. It often takes all the way until Angelica brings Hamilton to Eliza but its such a great moment to watch that realization
Since "Satisfied" shows Angelica's perspective, I don't necessarily think Eliza was so smitten that she misremembers how the introduction happened, I think it's Angelica's feelings projected into the moment, but she hid the pain of giving up this gorgeous man to her sister from Eliza.

17:05 Actually... If you're listening for it, there ISN'T a difference. It sounds different to you because you, yourself, are caught up in the emotions of "Helpless." But if you go back and listen, she sounds kind of stilted and choked up there, which is 100% on purpose. Renée Elise Goldsberry said somewhere (I can't find it because it was almost a decade ago) that shetried to say it the same way both times. It's our perception that changes, not the delivery, and that's part of the magic. I think this particular recording is even better at showing that than the cast album. (Of course, other actresses/directors may choose to play it differently, so this may not apply to some live performances.)

The funny thing about this song is that the whole musical so far has been pretty accurate to history, but then here they make it so ngelica isn't married yet, and has no brothers, even though she already had 2 older ones at this point

Without potentially spoiling that part in the beginning Mortius mentioned where multiple characters say "I love him" always confused me a bit because the actor that plays one of the people saying the line plays two character's and it's their second character that makes the most sense for me to be saying the line but they have the costuming of their first character when they say it. I never understood which character they represented in that moment. Because their first character doesn't really make sense to me for that line so I wonder if it was meant to be a line from their second character but costuming logistics meant they had to look like their first character

I hear a lot of people say angelica is a bad and selfish sister (in the musical) for allowing eliza to have hamilton while knowing what would happen in the future(not saying 😘), but i think theyre forgetting that angelica could not have had hamilton. Shes the oldest, meaning she has to marry rich. Eliza is younger, meaning it doesnt matter as much with her.
(And plus, i dont believe Angelica knew what happens would have happened)
