#40 Farm Stay In Rural Nepal (Incredible Landscape) 🏔️🇳🇵

- We wanted to have a real local experience so we decided to stay with locals on a farm in rural Nepal. The village we stayed in is called Hemjakot, located near Pokhara and has a population somewhere between 40 and 50 inhabitants (according to the locals).
It was quite challenging to get to the village from Pokhara since the gravel road up the mountain, where the village is located, is simply terrible and the car that took us there was not very suitable for that road. But we eventually made it!
The landscape surrounding the village is simply incredible. We had a good view over Annapurna II, Machhapuchhare and Annapurna South. Annapurna II has an altitude of 7,937 meters. The view over the farmlands and the fields in the valleys below was also stunning.
In this video we show you a little bit from the farm and what the people are doing. Many people in Nepal practice small scale subsistence farming and that was also the case in the farm we stayed at.
The family was incredibly friendly and cooked the most amazing meals we had in Nepal. They are hard working people and seemed very happy with their life. One of the advantages in living in a place like this is the peacefulness and the quietness.
We didn't do a lot while staying there but it was so good to just relax and get to know the people.

How did u manage to stay with that family ? Did u personally requested them or were they registered on Internet?
There is a company called Community Homestay that can arrange accommodation like this for people. They have a website where you can book🙂
