It's been a YEAR since our last farm update video, and I haven't been in Nepal since then :( We have an exciting life update to share though, and we're finally showing how far our rammed earth house and organic farm have come since we first moved onto the land in Panauti, Nepal more than 2 years ago!

This is the concept that I've been thinking from my childhood. If all Nepalese people's houses were made the way you guys did, it would be amazing. Nepal would not lose its cultural value and it would be much more beautiful and authentic. I am an architect from Nepal, currently in Canada. Rammed earth house in Nepal had been my dream. And, this looks so organic. Glad to see somebody do it so beautifully.

Thank you so much! Yes, the final structure definitely ended up looking a lot bigger than we thought it would. I think it's partially due to the thick rammed earth walls and the high ceilings!

That's great to hear that you have the same idea and also planning to buy land in Kavre! And you're here in CA! Where in CA are you? Our land is 28 ropani, but much of our space is stepper and we'll be leaving it as the natural forest, so you won't necessarily need that much space. Steph I don’t how you will find living in Nepal but I will assure you, you will be able to feel the earth more close then ever. The nature air water everything. And you two have great choice of place.
I love living in Nepal! Sure, there are certainly challenges and no place is perfect, but I am so happy to call it home and certainly feel closer to nature living there, especially out on our land :)

So lovely to see this video! In fact, nearly a month ago I had an unplanned visit to your location. I saw the building from the dirt road below and thought I would surely visit while I return. I seek permission with the people working there and when I saw it from near it made me so happy. I was thinking how would someone think of building such a wonderful home. Now I know the beautiful mind behind the house and the garden. I wonder how would the water stream (THADO KHOLA), now dry, would sound during the rainy days and how lovely would it be during the spring season! I would love to visit the place again and meet you both there! Thank you ......

What a funny coincidence that you had already seen our land and you happened to come upon our video :) That stream is certainly a lot fuller in the monsoon season, during this drier months it is usually just a trickle. Once we're both back and living there you would definitely be welcome for a visit!
