This is exactly how I caught my first rainbow trout! Too many weeds by the shoreline for casting spoons and lures, so hung some powerbait 12" below a weighted bobber... 10 minutes later a small stocked trout was on 🥳
Remember getting limits of trout some 45 years ago at legg lake! Back when power bait was new and effective. I used to work the carnival there and drive the train but not the one on the tracks.
Another great video from Seaspanker for fun and effective trout fishing 🎣 I will share a reason why this set up is so effective, on my latest fishing trip I tried spoons, jigs, lures and mice tails and the only set up that got me about 20 trout was this bobber set up... thanks Rob. Nice work with this video. Appreciate you man! 👉🏻🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍🏻🙌🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
I have in the past but haven’t in a long time. What your thinking of is called a water bobber. You fill them up with different amounts of water allowing you to fish at different depths or fish the surface with a heavier more cast-able bobber.
Great info👊🙂...appreciate showing the setup man🙂👍....lookin forward to my next visit to the ol mud hole to try some of these techniques locally. It's been a minute since the vidz tho...hope all's good with you and yours. Peace ✌😎
Thanks John. Yeah the frequency of uploads definitely goes down a bit during summer with family commitments and trying to catch cold water fish in the heat of summer. Headed to the sierras this week so hopefully get some more content out there soon 🤘
Tried and fail with the bobber here in oregon water still to cold their all biting from the bottom used a bobber nothing cut it off and go straight to the bottom was hitting them till the water is warm then I go back to the bobber
I looked back at the video and I had a few different trout eggs out there. The small ones are Peters Custom, the bigger eggs were Berdoo Bait, and the others were BerkleyI believe. Golden State Fishing just came out with floating trout eggs in three flavors, corn, salmon egg, and hatchery pellet that Ill be using alot on the channel during the season 🤘
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors tried with golden state . The phone on my account is the same #. Haven't had problems with other similar sites. ? Must be a glich somewhere. I like trying stuff from other parts of the country. Something the fish here haven't seen before. Your videos are well done and informedive. Will be trying some new things this coming season.
@@anthonymcfarland3563 I would send him a message via instagram @gsfcustombaits and let him know about the issue. I know he regularly sells baits across the country so it cant be that your out of state.
Rob the damn curtains in about 6 in of water at your feet at the old mud hole 🤪🤪🤪. Time for some trout I've spent about all the money I can this summer on the sport fishing boats.

Right on! Awesome way to catch em 🤘
I used to use that same setup on a worm at legg lake as a kid 42 years ago to catch blue gill. Still works and and on trout too. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely a great technique 🤘

Awesome content! Thanks
I wish they stocked bigger trout here in iowa. Most are only 12-14". Mouse tails slay em here! Same for power egg/crawler setup
Right on. You should try some of the Golden State Fishing mini jigs out there. They are a blast to fish with 🤘

Yeah sometimes they just aren’t gonna want it that way.

Do you have a tackle shop ?
No I just have alot of extra tackle. Ever since the lockdown and shipping problems I order alot of tackle in bulk online
Just tried to place a order. But it wouldn't accept my #, so I couldn't continue. Is it because I'm out of state. Washington.
Who did you place the order with?
