Little Bull . I suppose. I had various calls and recruiters approach me wanting me to join. When I told my situation they were uncertain if I could join. Several of them pointed me to the airforce. I did research and I found out I could not join. The only one letting DACA recepients join was the airforce and in very small numbers
Both of my kids joined the military and both had to show a birth certificate, social security, and many other documents. Not sure how this happen, but if he's willing to fight for this country and die for this country, then he is one of my many brothers in the military. I hope he's not in the military just for a paycheck.
The legal term is illegal alien .... Words matter .... please don't try and change the Narrative by using undocumented immigrant. Immigrants are welcome Illegal aliens are law breakers they are not welcome. this is important to our country ... So Words matter illegal alien has already been settled in a federal court by a judge “Undocumented immigrant” is the term created by the Left and pushed by activist liberal organizations such as La Raza to obscure the illegal actions and conduct of those who violate our immigration laws. Khavich blames the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, Dan Corey, who claimed that “illegal” was changed to “undocumented” for “stylistic purposes.” Corey apparently doesn’t care that the Daily Targum’s “stylistic change” is a refusal to use accurate legal terminology, which one would assume is the goal of all news organizations. Federal district court Judge Andrew Hanen of the Southern District of Texas dealt with this specific issue when he issued a preliminary injunction on Feb. 16, 2015, against President Barack Obama’s immigration amnesty plan. This was in U.S. v. Texas, the lawsuit filed by 26 states to stop the “Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents” program announced by Obama in November 2014. This case went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the injunction. The justices split four-to-four on the case, leaving the injunction in place and the president’s plan dead for the rest of his term. www.heritage.org/immigration/commentary/sorry-the-accurate-legal-term-illegal-alien
I don't feel the crossing our borders illegally sneaking into our country's back door gives you any rights if you are at one time in our in our military I feel they should be given clearance to be able to become US citizen
blyssed well actually DACA stands for “Deferred Action of Childhood Arrival” meaning, yes their parents brought them here at a young age. They came here unlawfully bc their parents brought them. 3 year olds don’t make decisions
Not a single panel user asked why he should be allowed to stay over someone that has gone through the process the right way? Hmm, sure they didn't. If I wanted to watch CNN, I'd watch CNN. I watch Beme News because I feel like it'll at least try to be unbiased about things. Maybe that's not the case.
There are so many different stories as to why people entered the USA illegally. But how does this reflect on people who came here legally and put in the seemingly hard work to become citizen's. My freind from the Philippines and her parents went through the process and are now citizen's. Her young adult brother's are now going through the process with a 7 year waiting period which is almost complete, they are smart and educated and will be a benefit to the US. This family patiently went through the legal process. So do we dishonor their efforts and just let people come in illegally without putting in the work?
I totally agree that he should stay if he's not causing trouble and his giving back- but just cause he's giving back does make him a citizen like he said, if I'm from the US and go and give make in some place in Asia for like a decade it doesn't mean I'm a citizen of that country
"and give make in some place in Asia for like a decade it doesn't mean I'm a citizen of that country" Exactly. In fact, it's likely that you'll never be a citizen of a country like Japan or China because their immigration laws are even stricter than ours. You're more likely to simply end up a permanent legal resident.
If dreamers put as much effort into what they need to do to become legal citizens as they do whining about not having it given to them then they would be looked upon in a better light.
Are you aware of US laws? There is no way for an illegal immigrant, Dreamer or not, to become a legal immigrant. And to obtain citizenship, they must be legal immigrant. You're saying that they're not putting "effort" into becoming citizens, instead "whining". Given current US laws, what "effort" are they suppose to put in? They're getting an education, joining the military, contributing to society, etc. They're speaking to lawmakers to create a path to legal status. I'm not saying citizenship should be free, but what do you mean by "effort" - what exactly do you expect them to do?
What if, people of different nationality could stay in US if 1. they want to open a company and pay taxes as US citizens do. 2. if they get a job in industry where there is more job on market than people to fill in vacant positions. 3. Are proven experts in strategic areas which can have further strategic meaning for the US. Isn't this kind of win win?
I've tried downloading the panels app and requesting an invite, but I don't receive the email even though I've tried with multiple different emails. I have a Samsung S7, and I live in the UAE. Is there something I should be trying differently?
I’d love to see an episode on cyrptocurrencies and blockchain as a whole. We should be doing a better job of preparing our youth for the realities of tomorrow, but most people still don’t know what the blockchain can do.
Been waiting for my invite for nearly 2 months now, any chance you guys could do an update video on when we may get an email/progress on the beme community?
This isn't one of Beme's better videos. One man's opinion in Queens is not "news" and it gives a poor idea of what "dreamers" are by just having one opinion.
Dreamers are people like me - they were brought to America by their parents while they were children. Like me, they didn't decide to become immigrants, it was their parents' choice. I was under 18 when my parents became American citizens, so I automatically gained American citizenship. I did absolutely nothing to earn citizenship. I wasn't required to demonstrate needed skills or education attainment. I wasn't even required to swear loyalty to the US. But for other child immigrants, Dreamers, there is no path to to getting the same rights I enjoy. Instead of comparing adults who chose to immigrate to children who's parents made the decision, compare adults to adults and children to children. As a legal child immigrant, comparing myself to illegal child immigrants, I feel very lucky and very privileged.
RAGINGXBULL2 they had really good money, us citizen family, or got married with a us citizen. They are very lucky. Those that are here Illegally were poor, had no family here, or their partners were not U.S. Citizens
If, as you say, "you are American", what has prevented you from legally becoming an American citizen, and swearing your loyalty to the USA? I'm not judging, just curious. Thank you.
What has prevented to Harminder & other Dreamers "from legally becoming an American citizen"? It's simple: American laws. To become a American citizen, you must follow a lengthy process starting with being a LEGAL immigrant. For DACA recipients, it doesn't matter how much they swear loyalty to the USA - current US law does not allow them to become citizens.
Hadrian Light ~ My ancestors, as countless others, immigrated legally, and were excited to become US citizens. The problem with DACA seems to be the parents came here ILLEGALLY, causing their children to be here illegally. It's a shame the parents took this risk with their children's lives, but how does that make it OUR problem? Ye, I have a heart, I do feel for them. Out of curiosity, how many other countries let you move in illegally then give you free government aid (which the legal citizen taxpayers pay for, then which the legal citizens can't qualify for because the system is overloaded) and then let you just stay? There has to be some kind of solution to this dilemma. Obviously, the one in place isn't working, for either side. This is NOT a new problem. This is an ongoing problem of many, many years.
Kathryn, my reply was to your initial question of what's preventing them from becoming citizen. Your response seems to be that "they're illegal thus it's not our problem", contradicts your question. You're saying they should swear loyalty and become citizens while saying it's not our problem if the law doesn't allow them to do what you're telling them to do. But to answer your response: "My ancestors" suggests quite a while ago. At first America didn't have immigration laws; if you could get the country, you could immigrate. Then they tightened their borders but if you were white & from a 'good' country, you could get in. Modern immigration laws didn't happen until much later. So when many Americans speak of their "ancestors" immigrating "legally", most of it BS. Native Americans didn't want foreigners to come and steal their land. Native Americans didn't get to choose who could immigrate nor did they make the immigration laws. Regardless, immigrants and Dreamers are just as "excited to become US citizens" as your "ancestors" were. For me, it's not "my ancestors", it's me. I was an immigrant and I am a US citizen. I haven't been to the country of my birth since I immigrated over 20 years ago. I don't speak the language, I won't be able to get a job there, I don't have friends & connections there. America is my home & my future. As a legal child immigrant, comparing myself to illegal child immigrants, I feel very lucky and very privileged. I hope that as someone born in America, you also feel very lucky. (If you don't, what country would you have rather been born in?) Your saying DACA recipients and other illegal immigrants get "free government aid" that "legal citizens can't qualify for". What country are you talking about since that's not the US. Can you give me some examples of aid the US federal government gives to illegal immigrants but refuses the same aid to citizens "because the system is overloaded"? (By the way, illegal immigrants, including DACA recipients, pay taxes.) At the end of your comment: "There has to be some kind of solution to this dilemma." Well, what are you proposing? In one breath you say it's not our problem and in your next breath you say that the US government should fix the problem. No, this isn't a new problem & I didn't say it was. But yelling "how does that make it OUR problem?" isn't doing anything except trying to deny the problem.
Biased questions, all one sided... as usual.
I've tried to join panels but the invite is pending? (I tried to join about a week ago)
Wanna be vice news.. Lol
My question is how was he allowed to join the military?. Because I am DACA recepient as well and every recruiter I asked says that I could not join.

Everything that is progressing in India is going bad in the U.S. What the hell is happening to America! Smh
What's the problem with your invite system ? It's taking too much time to get invited and get involved.
Don't hold a Mexican flag to United States flag, and by the way your not American
No you're not Americans at all. You can't be an American just because you “feel” like an American.
Trump wants to protect these people, he wants them in the country. With this program active it encourages people to illegally enter the country.
You joined the military hoping it helps you stay. Not because it's in your heart and soul.
By the way, I have signed up 2 weeks ago for the panels app and my invite is still pending
Well join the Mexicans army.Join a cartel. There the same thing.
This is a cool and useful video format, in my opinion. Just accept my Beme panels request!

For information we had similar cases in France while Nicolas Sarkosy was president, the only solution was media and lawyers acting against it massivly

In the u s millitary should be awarded citizenship automatically
Yeah I have a question, what do you have to say to people who migrated to America legally?
And I second that question!
Suckers. Shoulda just scrambled over the fence and claim refugee status. The European way.
