@@VODaddyFresh That's right. "My Prerogative" was the 2nd album. I almost forgot that bc the first one was kind of silent and didn't get much press nor play. But the 2nd made him a star and household name. I could Google it, but how many hits got platinum and gold on that album?

But it had some truth to it -During the time when this Album came out Bobby set a high standard that no one else had ever matched. He could actually Sing, Dance, Write, and Rap on his own songs. He fought w Baby Face to add raps to the songs, no one was doing that, he turned out to be right and a game changer. So when Whitney was saying the king of R&B, the original bad boy, she was right. These songs are a constant reminder of what was a good night out and the world being a better place and a shock of how the world isn't getting any better. Those 80s and 90s were the last real good days and I count myself fortunate enough to have been part of it.

You're absolutely right. I'm 54 and I think the same. 80s and 90s were the shit!! 2000 was lit too. Once 2001 came everything changed for the worst. Times are so, so terrible now. I sure miss those old days and that world.

Bobby needs a tribute because he is definitely music history of great artists regardless of who he is today and even today he's still performing with New Edition another part of R&b best male groups in musical history . I think Chris Brown and Usher would make a great tribute for Bobby because both would do a great job but Chris would kill the Bobby dance moves better.

+Fly Nina The man was on top of the world then. Regardless of the negative that has happened, his contribution to music, R & B music to be specific, both with New Edition and solo, cannot be denied. Yes, the younger generation clown him and dog him for his past because they don't know or care to know his music, but real talk, R & B and, even, hip hop would not be the same without this man. I believe that.

Politely disagree. Ralph was basically the NE lead vocalist so he's forever linked with the group. So going solo isn't gonna feel right. Look at BBD no one expected them to get that much success but they were new & fresh because they hadn't been heard much in NE yet they still had that NE appeal. Besides Bobby had that bad boy appeal & getting voted out of the band was mass appealing.
