Thank you GDQ for giving me the opportunity to showcase Pump It Up while raising money for an awesome cause!
happyf333tz That was epic!
By far the best run I've ever seen on gdq, hoping to see you back asap
Congrats for showing the wider gaming community the outrageous talent you have at this game through such a big platform as GDQ!
You were absolutely incredible! Definitely one of the big highlights of the weekend!
You did an amazing job on that speedrun, dude! Cool setup as well.
he can talk while Doing That then apologizes for being winded
absolute legend
This man has a whole unit in his home. That's a lifegoal right there.
Many of us avid players do. They're not as expensive as they used to be since they are now showing up in more arcades like Dave and Busters and Round 1. There's a larger US market for these games now so it has become easier to track down and purchase machines.
I think he has two other machines lol
@@firewindentertainment Just a side note, so it seems that you can grab DDR arcade machines (used) now for around $7k. Compared to the days you'd pay easily over $20k for any arcade machine, that's definitely a drop in price.
not only you need to buy the whole unit but you also need to pay to play(?)
yeah i'm new into this
@@0Enigmatic0 yes it is but it is definitely harder to find stand-alone pads. Depending on your budget and what exactly you want you could find arcade pads from resellers, arcade auctions, etc, may try the Rhythm Game Buy/Sell/Trade for serious buyers and questions.
Also there's definitely a number of ways to play the game without official data such as StepF2 and Stepmania that work well with PC. Join a rhythm game community and start asking questions, most if not all are extremely nice and humble people and some of are def willing to answer any questions you have.
I would never have imagined that they were going to do speedrun of a dance game that was great
*Misses one note* "I'm choking so hard."
I think I need to bump up my standards, because wow.
That's high level rhythm game standards. Top maps and one slightly off note and it's a horrid choke
I am so impressed by this dude omg? He's so quick, he's so precise, it's hard to choose whether I want to watch the game screen, the flashy rainbow lights on the unit, or his lightning quick steps. Like, I'm just so impressed like he doesn't even look like he's stepping, his feet look like they're just sliding across the board I can't get over it good on you man this is incredible.
Going from the "Grand Finale" of a song to a bit of commentary before jumping in to the next song without missing a beat. This guy's cardio must be incredible.
I'm just stunned by not just the speed at which he's able to react, but the presence of mind he has to be able to hit *two* buttons at once. To know where he is on the dance pad at all times is incredible.
Clone Hero at AGQ and Pump It Up! now? Love it. Putting the spotlight on these "not speedrunning bit tangentially related" communities is awesome. This run is amazing. Now if only we could get some arcade high score runs.
I'm digging these skill set runs as well, there was a killer shmup run last GDQ and it was 100% fire to watch.
There was a stepmania showcase too, love seeing some love for rhythm games.
His description for chat is so accurate. Streamer: *Makes one mistake* Chat: “Pathetic.” Lol
I wish people were able to understand the monstrous level of dedication and practice it takes to get to this level of skill.
Happyf333tz states at the beginning of the video how long he's been playing, and that's truly what you need to play this good.
If he had spent all the time he's been playing these games practicing martial arts instead, this man would be Chuck Norris.
That's just how good he is.
You are not wrong here dude. I play Stepmania since I was 13 and I am now 29 and I am good but I am nowhere near as good as some other players.
Well GDQ I don't know how you gonna manage to move this stuff to the next event, but you better get moving. This is awesome and this guy deserves a crowd behind him to see this live!
The amount of jaws dropped in the GDQ Discord when his feet started shuffling into a blur was many. Good job being the highlight of CRDQ, dude!
I used to watch my sister playing DDR when I was a kid thinking she was a dork (while I was playing FF7), but this is awesome and I can't stop watching
I think the most impressive thing is how he is able to casually explain what he is doing in detail MID SONG.
the incredible thing about this is that he is talking while playing, piu leaves you breathless in the 2nd song.
A dancing arcade game on GDQ??? I'm in!
This must be on EVERY SINGLE GDQ from now on... Daaaaammmnn
“I got one miss. I’m choking so hard”
Me too!! My coffee hit the screen!!
I mean seriously, do his feet even touch the ground?!?
What in the name of all that is holy is happening to his feetzzz!!! Amazing job, I used to play this when I was a teenager and loved it from the first time I played it and never went back to DDR. Amazing to see it at GDQ!!!
So cool to see how excited he was
🎶 He's a maniac MANIAC on the floor and he's dancing like he's never danced before!!🎶 🕺
Nice to see rhythm games being represented in a GDQ event. I picked up 4 key about 2 weeks ago and I can't help but to watch in awe at the skill to play this thinking about what I can do with hands and thinking to myself I can't compare to this LMAO.
happyf333tz is straight up hovering over the gamepad, incredible.
Watching this guy move made me question my playback speed.
I’m sorry, it’s possible to not use the bar? Under what gravity?
my initial reaction was HOW THE HELL CAN YOU SPEEDRUN THIS!
Also love Pump It Up
I want to hear what this would sound like with a pair of tap shoes.
watching this at 2x speed is absolutely hilarious
Dr. Mel most underrated comment here
HOLY COW, Triple S in Wi Ex Doc Va! Pooggers...
Wow, this was epic. Happyfeetz is such a perfect name for what he does :)
I love these dance games. These games are the only reason I was in decent shape when I first went into the Army
I think its amazing how these people can commit to one (group of) game(s) and be so good at it. I can never do that.
Awesome! Thank you gdq and happyf33tz
this ain't no speedrun
but it sure is quick.
This is magic... this man is a genius
Just saw you're on the schedule for SGDQ 2020! Can't wait to see your sick game play again!
It's nice to see this here
Holy crap how is this possible?
22 years of practice does that to you
@@lupin6741 it hasn't been 22 years non-stop tho, he's had his breaks and slumps for different reasons :)
I can't believe what i see...
PIU at the GDQ!!!! This moment is marvelous!!!
I love PIU, but i never played at this level.
Congratulations!!
damn it's really hard to hate on a game like that, that was amazing
This man could beat the flash with his ankles.
Dude hands down respect for you!
Excuse me how does he keep talking AND doing hardcore cardio at the same time for 1h I HAVE QUESTIONS is he okay
This guy ain't human...
Holy Cow! Color me impressed.
Onee of the best show I've ever seen on GDQ ! Congrats, and keep it going !
PIU at a GDQ, that's super cool! Always enjoy watching high performance levels. I am such a fraud at the game myself (can only do up to 14s) so this is super cool. And on doubles no less... GG awesome job! Hope to see more dancing games in the future.
Hey, 14 is already a good level, and a very fun to play at
omg this is so amazing!
so glad another rhythm game made it into a GDQ!
This guy’s feet are happy, that’s for sure
I love that this guy has this machine in his house, these machines are not cheap
Dude was floating across the dance pad
this is really impressive, never actually seen a good game like this player play this well
This guy is gravitys number one enemy
I think anyone that can play these games like that are just instantly a better overall person than me.
god this makes me miss going to the arcade and playing this with my friends. SO to the AZ PIU community!
Holy shit... EDIT: Essential worker here at a Nursing Home near Boston just wanted to say thanks for everyone I didn't know this was going on and you guys are great, thank you.
Wholesome First Year of College. I Played PIU at Zero Up to NX2 y will wish see Amadeus.
Can't believe people give this guy shit, he's an absolute legend.
happyf333tz!
What a time to be quarantined. Excellent!!
Take note, Bowflex: this is the true calorie burning exercise machine.
Jokes aside, you killed this Happyfeet!
I'm impressed that he can talk at the same time.
Amazing foot coordination!
Eye feet coordination... Over 9000!!!
Mad props though!
Wooooooooooow. Just .... speechless.
I could only dream of being this skilled at anything in my entire life
Now this is impressive
Extremely down for this. Good shit. Awesome gdq
Whenever I play Pump or DDR, its always my hand that sore the next day, not my feet
This is a true gaming athlete.
This is mind blowing!!!!!
How much is the arcade setup and what do you think his electric bill is a month, also if something breaks is he the one to repair it?
Damn what a workout
Oh shit I never thought I would see an ulcerate fan here! Haha this guy and the elite level players would probably be some monster drummers don't you think? 😎
First time seeing happyf333tz, can see why he’s called that. Holy s***!
I'm sure chat was hype for this. Awesome set up
Human tas for sure! Amazing run
incredible! name recommendation instead of showcase: "high score run"
I was wondering how he was going to do a speed run of a dance game then I realized that its like sprinting continuously so breaks are most necessary.
Wow. Unbelievable!
Got to love the little flairs of silly showmanship.
this is AWESOME
He really do be kinda zoomin tho
Him: "once this virus has been defeated go to your nearest arcade"
Me: dude I wish I could, but I've never even seen a real arcade my whole life 😅 sucks living in Germany on that regard
Holy moly
Congratulations!!!
This dude’s heart must have more muscle power than my entire body
the more you play you start to notice your endurance improves.
Wow.. I'm impressed 👍🇦🇺
love the leds on these new cabs man
I'm laying in bed just trying to shake my feet this fast and can't keep up. Man I wish I coulda donated for this dude lol
I just recently got into Pump It Up, and drive out 30-40 minutes to the closest arcade that has this game, but every so often the machine will be out of service, so that's always a huge bummer
I'm so glad rhythm games at GDQ are now an actual thing
Speedrunning this pair of shoes.
I didn't know Pump it Up was exported outside of Korea(I thought Konami would sue). I remember playing this in the arcades during the early 2000s. The runner is one of the best players of the game that I've seen, and I've seen some great players in the arcades(being Korean and all)
I'm just sitting here enjoying the rhythmic machine gun taps
speedcore DDR 1000+ BPM was the shit back in the day. Buuuuut, this is pretty cool as well. Nice run, great endurance.
I watched this live and was fucking blown away
hahahaa this guy is fucking amazing!! I use to think I was good at this game but dude here's pulling some inhuman reaction bs!! I love it!
Definitely the highlight of CRDQ
he has like 10 lungs to do that
Modern version of step dancing xD
Jokes aside that dude is awesome
