Other than the main part of the dish being leathery it’s good. It’s easy to contain an egg yolk in pasta when the pasta is like leather 😂. It’s funny watching these old vids. The first few seasons of great British menu are hilarious.
@@IKB28513 @nialldaly2145 I wondered because everyone does it these days. It's almost considered a basic skill now. Hard to believe it was only 2008.
@CrazyRockerTom - I was about to write that these were just amateur cooks, not professionals. But you're right, actually. Considering that they were cooking for the food critics, these contestants were pretty sloppy. They don't come anywhere near the standards of the amateur cooks in later seasons of MasterChef UK.
It’s great to see these old clips again. Emily delivered an unbelievable plate as part of an invention test that year. She was a talented artist also.
It's always good to see Peter Griffin tasting the food on Master chef!!

Be nice if you told us the year at least. Whats the point in a historical vid without saying what part of history it was
Always I worry when they focus on time. 10 minutes for a perfect plate as opposed to a rushed average plate of food. I'll go for the former.
Can someone help? The female judge on the panel, what's her name?
I've been trying to find it for months
Found it! Finally! Kate Spicer
What year was this?
A very long time ago. James won that year so you could look it up via list of champions.
2008

What’s the song at 1:34?
Darude - Sandstorm
I think it’s Uncle Jonny by The Killers
This is beyond easy to do. She did it her first time ever working with pasta dough so these fake chef reactions are dumb
Those judges were just🤮🤮🤮🤮
I loathe them all
why was the standard so terrible back then
@@Duelist07985 your sentence makes no sense

Corr lighten up the food is still far better than your average home cook
Because people are evolving, thanks in particular to cooking shows 😉
Calm down Son. I doubt you can boil an egg.
The Caveman sensitive bland palates with Bourgeois vocabulary of British Critics are speaking again...Yikes!
