I also saw a theory that, since the final hero skin of the year will be wu-lin, that potentially it will be a Wu-Lin themed season. This might mean that our next outlander will be a Mongol hero. And honestly, I think that sounds badass.
I think that with season 4 featuring a Wu Lin skin and an Outlander hero, I am going to assume that the Outlander is going to be a Mongolian warrior. If she is the villain my guess is that she will be a Khanum and they will essentially make her like Genghis or Kublai Khan and she will be an invading force. And yes the Wu Lin need more heroes I would personally like either the Jian, Meteor Hammer, chain whip, or Chui.
Samurai too me the most obvious weapon would be a Yari yes we have the naganata but we have several heroes with similar weapons. Look up Sanada Yukimura you never see images of him with a naganata it’s always some form of a Yari. More unique weapons would be nunchucks which are Okinawan.

Based on the fact that season 4’s hero skin is Wu’Lin, I think the next outlander to themestically go against them is a Mongol. It makes sense to me at least: the Chinese and Japanese have always seen the mongols as the enemy and, apart from the biopic movie about Genghis Kahn, the Mongols have always been portrayed as villainous. And since the next outlander will be a villain, it fits well. And since this year is all about weapons and the mongols were very resourceful much like the Scandinavians, we could get some really awesome Mongolian weapons. Again, this is just a theory and I hope that it’s a rajput instead but I’ll still be happy if we got a Mongol warrior.
When it comes to new heroes what I like to do is instead of thinking of what Historical warrior is left I think what Historical weapons are left and look up who wielded that weapon example both the katana and Odachi were both used by the Samurai class of feudal Japan and yet they both in the game wielded by 2 different heroes. Some weapons that caught my attention Were the Yari, Tonfa's and Kumi Tekko I'm not 100% sure who fought with Kumi Tekko back then but it would be cool to see

I think a Samurai hero utilising the Yumi bow in a similar way to how Pirate incorporates her gun while harking back to when Shinobi had their ranged attacks. Melee like the shaolin almost with the bow itself and the spice of Shinobi/Pirate range
I’m thinking the weapon will be a Nagamaki since it’s like a 2in1 weapon and this years whole thing is weapon mastery, although personally I’d love to see claw weapons

Introducing a new outlander villian makes sense considering year 7 was horkos subjugating entire heathmore effecticely ending the covenant war so we need a new villain to stoke the flames of war
I'm guessing the new hero for samurai will be a sohei inspired by Benkei and the hero skin will be based off of Yoshida for Kyoshin or Orochi? The Viking Halloween event could have Ragnarok theme where Hero skin is Thor for Jorm and the event will have drauger and a Jotun for the boss maybe? Whatever is coming I'm looking forward to it❤

FH lore is interesting but also, i'll like them to do something with the story mode maybe introduce each of these new warriors and previous warriors to maybe explain a little bit more on how they got involved in this conflict just a little bit?
Regarding villains in FH I think you forgot the well known guys among them ;D Vortiger, Yato, Gretar, Sun Da and Maddox are the ones that come to mind.
Yeeeah but Vortiger really didn't do much relevant even in his dedicated season. Heck, you could argue in the season Vortiger, he actually did good by saving the knights from the samurai and vikings. Yato certainly isn't a good guy, but he hasn't done anything outlandishly bad enough to earn a large place in the lore. Sun Da, I would argue, was a victim of circumstance, as his mistake was the blackmail used by Astrea to turn him to her cause. Maddox, one could argue, was acting in what he percieved as a right move for the salvation of his village who didn't deserve to die. Meanwhile... Apollyon literally relaunched a war just so she could. Astrea becamea biological terrorist just because things were getting too quiet. Ravier killed a Sultana and burned down Arabia because she's a psycopath who likes to destroy things and cause harm. Vela literally destroyed the entire Aztec civilization because she wanted Astrea Mommy to call her a good girl. Not saying there are no male villains, just saying they don't get nearly as much attention or 'evil intent.'
@@RavenKnightYT I definitely agree with that fem villains get more attention and their deeds are more detailed but overall Vela and Ravier are still underlings when it comes to how much power they hold in the greater hierarchy. I really hope in the future we will hear more about Sun Da, Yato and Vortiger. These three have much potential and started off strong. Vortiger and the BPs killed the attacking Samurai & Vikings and after the battle he also killed Badefol, the Knight commander in Eitrivatnen, together with those who stood against their rule of terror. Vortiger simply wanted power over the region and the soldiers (and the Grimoire of Apollyon's alchemist who lived there). He didn't help the knights out of charity or sense of loyalty. He was already allied to Astrea for which he acted as harbinger. Yato I agree hasn't done much but he is either a sociopath or psychopath who liked turning public executions into a show to get fame. Later he leads the Horkos alchemist fortress in the Myre. Sun Da killed his whole family (including his younger siblings) as proof of his total "loyalty" to Gao Lei (and because he wanted the power associated with the position as the Emperor's second) and only turned his back on the Wu Lin when a stronger force got their hands on him and Gao Lei was weakened with no hopes to return to power.
The way halo infinite does their battle passes should be the one true way of doing battle passes. Being able to go back and do previous seasons battle passes and getting armor, etc. Then going on to the next battle pass you want to do.
if there's one weapon i'd love to see from the Samurai we have yet to have, it's probably the spear/Yari. especially the Jumonji Yari, a type of cross head spear. (and if there's one Wulin Hero i want, would be a Lu Bu-inspired hero haha)
To be honest there are only 4 characters in the knight faction that will probably get a hero skin. Warden, Warmonger, and BP are off the list. Gryphon is to, he is a hero skin in of itself if you think about the overall character. Plus we just got VG. I don’t think it’ll be peacekeeper cause she’s getting a rework. I don’t think they be doing that for her yet. Lawbringer, Cent, and Glad are all good picks. I think it’s going to be a Conqueror though. It just makes the most sense to me as i he doesn’t really get a whole lot of love. Though you could argue against my point and say that is exactly why they aren’t going to make him a hero skin. Though if they make a hero skin for a character who already has one that would honestly be very upsetting for me.
New heroes is always cool but still need new maps. Reworking maps for dominion is cool but I don’t really play dominion…I’m more of a breach and elimination fan myself. I feel like pirate should have been the 6th wu-lin but oh well. Legacy pass is super cool, I’ve bought like 5 passes but finished 0. Can’t say much about game balance because I almost entirely play offline so I don’t have much pvp knowledge anymore. Used to play alot but got sick of winning through scummy tactics and preferred the ability to use a character full kit against a bot instead of abusing a characters best move repeatedly for the win😂. Love the lore content, will always be here for that.
Samurai with a nagamaki or a Okinawan warrior using a turtle shell shield and some other weapon. There are a lot of niche weapons. But really not many that are too many unique variants that wouldn’t be super silly. I hear nunchucks and sai around but they aren’t great weapons in my opinion. Especially nunchucks with how they would work in game.

Prediction. The reason why its outlander themed, isnt because theyre focusing on all outlanders, its because theyre focusing on a single outlander, same with ocelotls season. I believe the next outlander will be a mongol, theyre a villain, the hero skin is wulin-It only makes sense
I still care about the Lore Raven for what little that means. It's why I'm sad Karla, despite being the new hero didn't get one. At least to add more depth which otherwise isn't there in the orders. But ya here's hoping the knight skins do something interesting....If Conqueror gets one I just hope it's a more heroic skin, Knights have gotten 3 hero skins and 2 of them were horkos followers. I want my Conq to be heroic....Plus it be interesting to have a tale about a flail. Or failing that a legendary shield that a conqueror needs to prove worthy of.
The last season is a Wu lin season, as the hero skin is for a Wu lin, the outlander is most likely loosely tied to the Wu lin, like Pirate is. The closest example of this would be a Mongol, similar to how pirate is Cantonese.
I think with the Wu Lin hero skin being in the season of the outlander it probably ties together and if they were loosely basing off history like they have I could see the new Outlander being a Mongol warrior and lore wise could have the mongols attacking the Wu Lin. Weapon wise not sure cause they have filled most of the weapons a mongol would use but we will see.
Ravin I'm gona suggest something crazy but do you think they might go with a samurai using a gun? Like I really can't think of much they could add for the samurai aside from that. Also wouldn't it be cool if the outlander used a urmi whipsword?
yeah they need more wulin, they should put korean warrior and called them hwarang and mongol warrior since they were once accepted history called yuan dynasty. Wulin is a treasure trove of warriors and weapons

I want to get back into For Honor. It's been so long since I've played. I played it all the way back in the beta days and for a while after it started, but dropped in when toxic try hards ruined it for me. Hopefully that's less of an issue now and I can practice and git gud.
I doubt it. The only evidence people have that the samurai is female is that it was Andrew who talked about the samurai before the other guy started talking about the outlander, then Andrew came back saying 'she.' The problem is that this assumes Andrew wasn't talking about the Outlander at that point himself. They clearly cut up the interview, so it's possible they cut to him talking about the new Outlander.
Calling it now. New outlander will be a female Mongolian villain to rival the good-guy Wulin hero that gets the skin. I want a Rajput too, but that just seems like how I would set up an evil Mongolian launch.
The sam hero weapons' are going to be the weapons that belonged to the wu lin hero's that were left on the cutting room floor. Also us wu lin players have left because we know we are being ignored and we have just given up on the game. AWSOME IN 5 YEARS WE HAVE HAD 2 MAPS (CAN'T EVEN PLAY OUR DUELING MAP FOR PRACTICE MODE), AND 2 HERO SKINS. F***ING PERFECTION!!!!!!

Besides the fact they keep shoving Wu Lin in the dark (even though I'm not a Wu Lin main), they skipped new armor set this season and now it seems like they'll stop focusing on it unfortunately. More customizations the better, plus to those who need it the most, Warden, Raider, Jorm, Warlord, etc. Most of the options we get are awful.
Hey raven quick thought, the way I interpreted the genders was the samurai would be a woman seeing how it was a different guy talking about each hero. The samurai could be a lady and the outlander could be a villainous decent of Genghis Khan.
I doubt it only because it seems weird to jump between talking about heroes like that. Like start with samurai, then go to outlander, then right back to samurai? That's not good production or editing.
I feel like you're looking at the outlander season wrong. I think it's less that the season is about the entire, non-uniform faction and more about specifically the culture or the arriving hero

How are we 8 years deep with story team that, I don’t think, can confidently say what each faction is fighting for? Beyond chivalry for the knights. “Uh, a samurai, uh.. story”
"All the villains are female. Are we not gonna get a villainous male at some point?" Bolthorn though he wasn't entirely villainous, Maddox is definitely villainous, afeera is a good guy, varangian is good, yin chen is good, Meiko is good. But I will admit there is a lot of female villains
Bolthorn did what he did to save his people and had honestly good intentions which ended up backfiring. Vortiger saved the knights from extermination and was only considered evil after siding with Astrea, but since has done nothing noteworthy in lore. Maddox, it could be argued, acted out of self preservation and for the salvation of the people of his village because he didn't want them all to die needlessly. Ragnar was useless as a villain. Literally spared by Apollyon then went on to piss off the Raider of the Warborn and die to them. I have trouble seeing him as a villain to be taken seriously. Even Seijuro was a better villain than him, and he was redeemed.

I’m so upset they are skipping new knights because they added reworked Warden as a new character (warmonger) Like they could’ve just done a full rework to warden with warmongers moveset just swap out scratch for bash and it’s basically the same thing, The only move that warmonger has that warden doesn’t is a dodge attack, literally the same character.
I honestly wished the warden had more better, practical helmets like the German or polish sallets. And perhaps batter gauntlets that isn't half done. Like c'mon for honor do better😅😂 but I am however glad that they'll be bringing the legacy pass so that'll be interesting.

I can't really speak for others, but I at least, will always come for any lore episodes for For Honor as I love the kind of historical fiction it is.

I feel like pirate should have been the 6th wu-lin but oh well. Legacy pass is super cool, I’ve bought like 5 passes but finished 0. Can’t say much about game balance because I almost entirely play offline so I don’t have much pvp knowledge anymore. Used to play alot but got sick of winning through scummy tactics and preferred the ability to use a character full kit against a bot instead of abusing a characters best move repeatedly for the win😂. Love the lore content, will always be here for that.
Samurai with a nagamaki or a Okinawan warrior using a turtle shell shield and some other weapon. There are a lot of niche weapons. But really not many that are too many unique variants that wouldn’t be super silly. I hear nunchucks and sai around but they aren’t great weapons in my opinion. Especially nunchucks with how they would work in game.

Prediction. The reason why its outlander themed, isnt because theyre focusing on all outlanders, its because theyre focusing on a single outlander, same with ocelotls season. I believe the next outlander will be a mongol, theyre a villain, the hero skin is wulin-It only makes sense

Only weapons i can think the new Samurai would be using would either be the Yari or the Sai.
I still care about the Lore Raven for what little that means. It's why I'm sad Karla, despite being the new hero didn't get one. At least to add more depth which otherwise isn't there in the orders. But ya here's hoping the knight skins do something interesting....If Conqueror gets one I just hope it's a more heroic skin, Knights have gotten 3 hero skins and 2 of them were horkos followers. I want my Conq to be heroic....Plus it be interesting to have a tale about a flail. Or failing that a legendary shield that a conqueror needs to prove worthy of.

The last season is a Wu lin season, as the hero skin is for a Wu lin, the outlander is most likely loosely tied to the Wu lin, like Pirate is. The closest example of this would be a Mongol, similar to how pirate is Cantonese.
Calimacil is a larp weapon making company in Montreal so they probably filmed there.
I think with the Wu Lin hero skin being in the season of the outlander it probably ties together and if they were loosely basing off history like they have I could see the new Outlander being a Mongol warrior and lore wise could have the mongols attacking the Wu Lin. Weapon wise not sure cause they have filled most of the weapons a mongol would use but we will see.

yeah they need more wulin, they should put korean warrior and called them hwarang and mongol warrior since they were once accepted history called yuan dynasty. Wulin is a treasure trove of warriors and weapons

I want to get back into For Honor. It's been so long since I've played. I played it all the way back in the beta days and for a while after it started, but dropped in when toxic try hards ruined it for me. Hopefully that's less of an issue now and I can practice and git gud.
The only samurai weapon I can think of that they haven't added to For Honor yet is the Yari spear.

I doubt it. The only evidence people have that the samurai is female is that it was Andrew who talked about the samurai before the other guy started talking about the outlander, then Andrew came back saying 'she.' The problem is that this assumes Andrew wasn't talking about the Outlander at that point himself. They clearly cut up the interview, so it's possible they cut to him talking about the new Outlander.

Calling it now. New outlander will be a female Mongolian villain to rival the good-guy Wulin hero that gets the skin. I want a Rajput too, but that just seems like how I would set up an evil Mongolian launch.

The sam hero weapons' are going to be the weapons that belonged to the wu lin hero's that were left on the cutting room floor. Also us wu lin players have left because we know we are being ignored and we have just given up on the game. AWSOME IN 5 YEARS WE HAVE HAD 2 MAPS (CAN'T EVEN PLAY OUR DUELING MAP FOR PRACTICE MODE), AND 2 HERO SKINS. F***ING PERFECTION!!!!!!

Besides the fact they keep shoving Wu Lin in the dark (even though I'm not a Wu Lin main), they skipped new armor set this season and now it seems like they'll stop focusing on it unfortunately. More customizations the better, plus to those who need it the most, Warden, Raider, Jorm, Warlord, etc. Most of the options we get are awful.
Hey raven quick thought, the way I interpreted the genders was the samurai would be a woman seeing how it was a different guy talking about each hero. The samurai could be a lady and the outlander could be a villainous decent of Genghis Khan.
I doubt it only because it seems weird to jump between talking about heroes like that. Like start with samurai, then go to outlander, then right back to samurai? That's not good production or editing.

I feel like you're looking at the outlander season wrong. I think it's less that the season is about the entire, non-uniform faction and more about specifically the culture or the arriving hero

Bolthorn did what he did to save his people and had honestly good intentions which ended up backfiring.
Vortiger saved the knights from extermination and was only considered evil after siding with Astrea, but since has done nothing noteworthy in lore.
Maddox, it could be argued, acted out of self preservation and for the salvation of the people of his village because he didn't want them all to die needlessly.
Ragnar was useless as a villain. Literally spared by Apollyon then went on to piss off the Raider of the Warborn and die to them. I have trouble seeing him as a villain to be taken seriously. Even Seijuro was a better villain than him, and he was redeemed.

I’m so upset they are skipping new knights because they added reworked Warden as a new character (warmonger) Like they could’ve just done a full rework to warden with warmongers moveset just swap out scratch for bash and it’s basically the same thing, The only move that warmonger has that warden doesn’t is a dodge attack, literally the same character.

I honestly wished the warden had more better, practical helmets like the German or polish sallets. And perhaps batter gauntlets that isn't half done. Like c'mon for honor do better😅😂 but I am however glad that they'll be bringing the legacy pass so that'll be interesting.
