Just orderd my ex30 ill keep using my t4 for trails. Im riding the beeps on my t4 on the road got ex30 just for a speed buffer to be safer. Off road on my t4 i feel like i can get one more year out of it befor im riding the beeps in off road.
Gorilla tape is da best for metal batt box's i used it on my T4 V4 & now my original pads stick great.... After my Extreme arrives in 4 weeks time my next wheel will be an EX30 i have rode my mate's one & love it.... Well done to you both.... Keep up da good work.... Thanx 4 sharing
Great review! Indeed, the EX30 is so fun to ride! I have a sport tire on mine and use it exclusively for street riding. I'm looking for a lighter wheel for trails. BTW, it looks like the left bottom bumper was lost in the crash. I just happen to have an extra one. You are welcome to it.
I like it alot begode turning it around. That firmware is incredible, those saftey options sell me on this wheel. Like the extreme comment hehe, these 2 wheels are all you need for your riding needs. Great input 👌
I watch all your videos, they have been very informative. I have been closely looking at the EX30. I am a city rider, been riding for over 2 years now, & need something to replace my car. A few items holding me back from purchasing the EX30, or Begode wheels in general is the lack of a %SoC meter; the voltage display is fine, & may be a good workaround, that I can match with Dbot or EUC world to get %SoC; the other is I need a street tire out the box, thats flatout a dealbreaker, I will buy any wheel when I can ride it out the box with a tire I can use 100%, instead of having to take the EUC apart, I hate road noise of offroad tires & the subpar traction, especially on the street, its a no brainer. The last important thing & also a dealbreaker is the lack of a functional fender/mudguard; the cheap flimsy one they include comes from mountain bikes, & makes the wheel look cheap, jerry rigged, mediocre, & if I am paying upwards of $3600 USD for a vehicle without a functional fender or a street tire, then im going crazy. How many EUC's have their engineers designed & the only one that came with a functional fender is the Hero?! So unless they get that sorted out, I rather stick with inmotion, & Leaperkim wheels because they check those function boxes for me, in making the EUC more functional & utility, & less of a recreational toy. Hopefully Begode can listen more & make those additions to get the attention of riders that actually need that to even consider buying a Begode EUC. Thanks again for anothr great video!
For most wheels, %SoC is a ball park figure as the SoC will vary while riding if breaking or accelerating. I find using the voltmeter is still the most accurate way to go about it. Takes a bit of extra thinking, but once you get used to it - i'll never go back to a % readout. The CST knobby tire is more than a good tire. I have street tires, and shinko tires - but have never had enough incentive or motivation to rip the stock tire off the wheel. It has performed flawlessly imo. I also haven't had any issues with backspray with the grizzla attachment + mudguard. A good mudguard is one that prevents you from getting dirty - and this one does the trick. I don't need anything that looks fancy.
Not a sexist at all but it is quite amusing to hear Erin 'da skinny''s povs on the super heavy (110lbs by my bathroom scale) ex30. Basically agree with most if not all of your points. I'm around 175lbs & it did take me quite a while to get accustomed but it has made me a better rider utilizing technique rather than pure muscle. I've taken my ex on easy blacks & it is challenging but satisfying as well. My dedicated dirt machine, das T4 is ofcos much easier & a heck lot more playful. Surprisingly or maybe not, the ex30 is much faster on easy green trails but ofcos, the T4 dominates on super technical gnarlies. Overall, I still feel the weight but dang if I dont lov riding the ex. I'm auto 10-20% faster ave ride speeds on purely curvy bike pathways which is IMO quite a difference as it not easy to up ave ride speeds. Good stuff guys & thanks for the gorilla duct tape mod tip. Lov how hardcore 'skinny' is. You're a lucky man Mon Ami 🤣
I run 300psi, christine runs around 150-200psi. However we do use the wheel for trails also, so needed to run stiffer to prevent bottoming out on jumps. If you're a road rider, i would say a good starting point is roughly (your weight in lbs + 20psi).
another cool review! I was wondering between two eucs with 3600 wh capacity and similar weight, for example the sherman s vs ex30. Given the same riding conditions would there be any significant difference in overall range? (considering 100v vs 134v), do you have any input about that?
@@2cells1pack Maybe i need to do an example clip, but in effect you ride the wheel with your hand instead of manhandling it. Tilt it a bit rather than forcefully twist it. Counter steer after tilting to do a 180 turn. On wheels which have rear handlebar like begode RS you can just push and steer the wheel from the trolley handle without any fingers grabbing the handle.
Hey I remember you said you mainly ride patton and this wheel. If you could only have one wheel for all purposes, would you choose the patton or the ex30?
I wish the battery boxes could be raised like 5 cm or so on the EX30. Would love to get it for cruising, but I would always be afraid of hitting the batteries when going down or up stuff.. But for now I will stick to my Abrams and get some kind of EXTREME option for offroad...
What is your opinion on the suspension and slider design of the Begode wheels? Is it a durable system. How much, if any, play have developed in the sliders during the 500km?
I've been riding this design since when the master first came out. Overall, I've had no issues with the slider mechanisms however the air shock lifespan is probably 6-12months of riding (assuming mixed riding). If you're a street rider, you'll get more life out of it. If you can find yourself a boot to cover it up - it will also extend the life of the shock as dirt and debris tend to ruin the seals quickly if doing a lot of trail riding. You can tighten up any play by adjusting the grub screws on the top and bottom of each pillar.
I hope you are not a speed advocate and it sounds like you are... Going past 40km/h shows a bad image for the euc community...WHY are you going past ebikes class 3 speeds???
feel better christine. you two have been making very good content lately, keep up the good work, waiting for the next ding-dong-ding-dong
Thank you! Will do!

you guys seem like a really good fit, you complement each other so well
best of love from Denmark
Thanks!
@@2cells1pack Another thumbs up from Denmark here! 😀
I'm very interested in seeing that voltage readout mod!
Video coming tomorrow

it works super well !
I’m a licensed insurance agent and I pray you have it covered. And yes it can be covered under what we call an excess policy. Please get one! 😅
In which country do you do insurance ?
Insurance? 😂😂😂 🙄
Always thought these over 100lb euc was too heavy but I now understand the weight is neglible once you get good at it
yeah, weight is not a huge concern. It is a factor, but not as huge since you can acclimate to the weight
Great input folks, appreciate the effort, love your reviews.
Glad you like them!
Great videos guys my ex30 just arrived today
congratulations!
Voltmeter installation guide would be cool
Okay, I’ll try to make a short video on it
Definitely agree 100% great video can’t wait to get mine 😎
You'll truly enjoy it. Such an awesome wheel.

It fell off, but we have it. I recently put it back on
Nice review 💜😈

Yes❤
Any thoughts on what wheel would be good for trails and also have long range? Long range = big batteries = heavy.
It’s a pro and con battle tbh. There isn’t one wheel that can rule all
Hi. Thank you for this. I subscribed
Thanks for subbing!
Sweet Wheel ❤

it can definitely do the trails - but just not ideal. Also worried about blowing the air shock.
Have you made a video showing how to use those gel filters and the voltmeter?
The gel filters - you just cut them and tape them on the display. For the voltmeter, maybe i can make a quick video.
I want know hows your suspention settings 😊

There shouldn't be a huge difference. Rider weight, aerodynamics, speed all make a much bigger efficiency difference.
Hey guys, what the latest firmware are you running? And, did you only upgrade your firmware in the begode app? Thanks.
🎉
We are running the latest firmware ending in 0005. Yes, updated through begode app.
@@2cells1pack cool. U guys are awesome w/ these tutorials and reviews. Thanks
Like other begode trolley handles, can you 'one finger' the wheel with the trolley handle?
one finger this wheel? Pushing forwards and back yes - but side to side might be a bit heavy.

I keep hearing ex30 pro on the video. Is there such a wheel at the moment ?
It’s a Frankenstein wheel that Chubby built. Mix & Match - Master Pro with EX30
Hey I remember you said you mainly ride patton and this wheel. If you could only have one wheel for all purposes, would you choose the patton or the ex30?
I don't have the patton anymore unfortunately. The patton's top speed was too low for my liking.
@@2cells1pack hi, you don't have either Patton anymore? I thought you had two! Wow that's crazy
wheels come and go fairly quickly. local community usually asks to buy one or another and I typically oblige.
What do you think max range would be for 180 pound guy at 20 to 25 mph?
Maybe around 130kms at those speeds ?

going down is no issue, but going up can be an issue. it's a trade off - since they lowered the battery packs for better wheel handling and agility.
I have an electric backpack leafblower just like this.
Like which ?

Maybe I should make a follow up short video on ex30 pro and maxter30 haha
Yikes, hopefully humor!
