An in-line chlorine tablet feeder is easy to install and even easier to use and maintain. You tab feeder is meant to dispense 1 ppm FC per day so your Free Chlorine doesn't bottom out. It gives you a buffer zone until you can get back to your pool and add liquid chlorine.
Tab feeders come with a convenient dial. You can dial it up for more chlorine or dial it down for less chlorine.
Check your tabs once per week and add the proper amount of tabs that your pool needs.
Hi. New pool owner. We finally got the old one open. Was stuck. Should’ve seen this first, but we ended up screwing it down on a piece of wood at the bottom grooves to get leverage to hold while turning. Worked great. Anyway. This one was left from previous owners and once opened was GROSS. I want to clean it but not sure what to use. I wanted to use a degreaser or a rust and lime scale remover, or if I can use actual bleach to soak in the canister or if I’ll blow myself up. Lol (funny not funny. Could happen I hear with mixing even di chlor with tri chlor.) Just need to clean it.
Where can I buy the fittings that screw into the chlorinator? Looks like 1-1/5 pvc is glued into it. I have the cl 200.

Start with 3 - 4 tabs per week per 20k gallons and adjust from there. Higher the number on the dial, the faster water moves through the feeder and you go through tabs quicker. Thanks for the question and have a great day.
Does anyone know how the CL200 works? How does it leach chlorine into the water line? I recently purchased one and the flow is not clear to me.. (not asking about the direction.. that is clear)
Does anyone know a roughy estimate of stabilizer that is dissolved with the chlorine?
Most tabs are between 94 - 99% stabilized trichlor, with some inert ingredients.
My chlorinator overflows when i open it whats the problem?
Doh, 9 months... sounds like you need to isolate it he briefly mentioned check valves... they are cheap and easy to add. Or just block the pool return from the pool side with a spraycan top or piece of rubber. Don't cork it just in case you forget it when starting the pump, those things overheat after a while without flow...

You can fill it with pucks. You still have to set the dial on the clorinator for the amount of chlorine you need in your pool. Use test strips an adjust accordingly.
You say this does not replace other methods of chlorinating your pool, then what does? I bought a house with a pool, how do people chlorinate their pool if not with a chlorinator? I dont understand....

This is the only method you need. I have never used liquid chlorine or any other method of chlorination in my pool.
