Griff using a spinning rod that ISN’T a Windbuster???? I don’t believe it! Seriously, awesome video! Love the bank fishing content. And anything with Griff is great!
One of my go to ultra finesse techniques, especially for small high pressures creeks, is doing something similar but with a Fish Arrow flash j on their wheel head. Will definitely have to give this a try.
Up north here in VT we had a 3 day stretch of 70-80’s blue bird skies and little to no wind. Spooky Fish everywhere up shallow. That little bait did the trick when nothing else would.
Good stuff. I've been using the Core Tackle Hover Rig hook which is a bit heavier and have had good success with a 3" Bull Flat in urban ponds. I definitely need to use this technique more.
Matt steffan just came out with a bad ass hook/weight for this technique through core tackle..saves tons of baits as well.. love the fishing vids griff.
Woof, woof, cool video. I bought the Core Tackle Hover Rig hooks but you're right even the smaller 3/64ths are too heavy for my shallow urban ponds. Its a great design, just wish they come out with something much lighter in the future. Gonna have to get some of those Decoy hooks and Ryugi nail weights. Can wait to try this on my Orochi Whipsnake paired up with Essence C3000MHG, love how that pair cast.
Hi! Beautiful video! How it's for you the other model of megabass destroyer for this technique? The windy shad 6'3 spinning rod is able for hover strolling? Thanks
Geoff cant quit laughing at that tiny hook! 😂 A #10 hook looks funny when you are a glidebait guy...lol. I have a hard enough time tying a 1/0 hook with my aging eyes. Trying to tie those with 4lb fluoro on a rolling boat. If I broke off, Id just have to retire that rig for the day! 😂
Is this Griff's first solo breakdown? Either way, good job and good video. I'll probably pick up a few things and try it out after seeing this. Gotta get a super light spinning rod to even throw it I think, not sure my BFS setup would get the best distance.
Great informative video. Been playing with this technique but appears I need to reduce weights and upgrade equipment. Just ordered the Orochi XX Whip Snake. A new reel will be next; thoughts on the new Daiwa Tatula MQ LT Spinning Reel?
Man you guys are wayyy to advanced lol I’m a weekend angler so im having a hard time understanding the difference between this rig and a finesse jig head
You guys are amazing, but your customer service sucks every time I call trying to update or add something to my purchase. I never get a phone call back.
True hover technique. Great job Griff and Geoff
G'day from Australia. Cool instructional video

Griff: ....Hello
Freakin' love it haha. Cool to see this technique and gear explanation.
This video must be catching on, I just found a ryugi hover shot hook tied to a bunch of 20lb wrapped in a bush on the shore of my local pond lol
Hello from El Paso! Ascarate will be seeing the hover stroll! It’s super pressured.

Definitely gonna try this out in the local ponds

I have been dragging a dark sleeper on a spinning setup and its been killing it in the ponds
I've noticed while hover strolling that the bait will fall horizontally like on a jig head and it also allows the head to have more movement.
oh man this technique is gonna slay some smallmouth bass at sturgeon bay. cant wait to try it.
Yes!!
Awesome griff! Great video brotha! 🤙🎣
Thank u

Great video Griff..thanks for doing it
Get the Hover Rig weighted hooks by Core Tackle. It looks like a Nail weight with a 90° hook in it.
Sick video guys!

Those are too heavy… good for a mid stroll but a hover requires super light

Great combo
I have the same setup. Pure 🧈

Bro thanks again for your time, knowledge transfer at your store to help me with that exact setup this is arms … out
Awesome video guys.
I need to throw you in my boat sometime! Great video Griff
Let’s go
@@gstixfishing9746 I’m coming by the shop today to pick up a rod I ordered
Wow! I can’t wait to fish this rod. Paired it with a Scorpion DC
Thanks for the video
This could make a nice companion for the maribou jig
Yes
Is that the raid roller @23:55 ? looks smaller than 3"

You should try core tackles new hover hook. Matt Stephan invented it
I It works on all kinds of soft plastics.

🐘 eat 🥜 big believer in that here great way to catch em when they ain't biting as well
Man the mylar minnows are all gone😢, but those other baits look sick too, I’ll check them out👍
I’ve been using the fish arrow spine hook but that ryugi hook looks good too
There’s also a Weedless version too
@@gstixfishing9746 are you guys selling it? I need to add it to my cart asap. What’s the name of it?
@@treehunter1 yes ryugi hover shot fg
Is that Ben’ brother playing the piano in the beginning? Either way, what’s the name of that arrangement ?
I like the sunglasses Great video. Bassmd

Great reel I have 3 of them. Started with the tatula MQ LT now I have certates and exists. Tight lines !!! 👍
Yall's opinion on the best knot for braid to leader???
Good job guys, descriptive video! What size reel for the spin elseil II for this rig?
2500 or you can do a 3000 if it’s an Exist/Exsence- something light
Any Kage ultra light spinning rods in the shop? Hoping to pick one up this weekend.
Yall should check out Core Tackles hover rig jig. It works pretty damn well.
The secret is Griff 😂😂
not the bait just bottle it up and call it griffs fuel it'll sell like 🔥🔥
Good stuff guys dope video and bait👊🍻
Hey Griff, Thanks for the video! Question: What type of Sunglasses are you wearing (brand/model) ? Thanks
Electric jjf12
That dog is pretty pissed off , it would be my luck the law would show up. Cool video
Nice where is this bank fishing location
What reel size is recommended?
how do you compare the osp i waver to this hover stroll technique?
I waver is more of a do nothing bait… the hover stroll can add more action
Haha the bass in that lake always seem to follow the carp and koo
Man you guys are wayyy to advanced lol I’m a weekend angler so im having a hard time understanding the difference between this rig and a finesse jig head
This rig is very light and will allow u to fish the upper colum of the water slowly. A jig head sinks fast
please add the link to them kicks your rocking need me a pair
@Thehookuptackle any chance we see a return of the Flyssa? Seems to be a good choice for this technique as well as other small finesse baits.
This summer
@@thehookuptackle_usa yeeesssss
@@thehookuptackle_usa but the destroyer evoluzion windy shad (6'3 spinning model) can be good for this technique?
If your hook doesn't have a bait keeper, how do you feel about using a couple drops of super glue?
Works great
Hey Griff, what does your hand 😅😊😊😊
Is the baby pluggin a good rod for the hovershot?
Yes
That lowkey looks like a fun way to catch em
Just making me want that lure more....
Do it
So would you try to use a hobbit in heavy cover?
What bag are you using in the video Griff?
Megabass rapid bag
That spot you were fishing looks like avondale
That rod is sweet
Do fish throw out the nail weights easily. Seems like after a few fishes the nail weights are gone.
Core tackle's smaller size is money.
that exist tho!
You guys are amazing, but your customer service sucks every time I call trying to update or add something to my purchase. I never get a phone call back.
So far I’ve had nothing but FANTASTIC customer service. Sucks you’ve had bad experiences. Good group of guys that have my business. 💪🏻
Hover Strolling = Trout Mini Jigging
Not using Super glue to keep your nail weight in, using line that is too heavy, and using Aberdeen hooks that are too thin, are common mistakes.
that goddamn dog
I can't stand when people let their dog bark like that. Like put a damn training collar on it. I couldn't finish the video. That's driving me crazy 😅
"Hello."
I Know That Bark 😂
