Had one as a a hire car, an amazing vehicle drove from London to Cornwall in 4 hrs really good to to drive turbo kick down was immediate. Really comfy seats great all rounder. Easy to manoeuvre and park!!!!
and very good on petrol 7L per 100km or 38mpg
fails to mention the better, cheaper and more stylish alternatives...
I took one for a test drive last week and everything this guy has said is false
Scotia Jinker no these are shite
@@dj331 got one myself I like it. Each to they own I guess.
I turned this review the minute he waved his hand at the media screen
lol
I have the 1.6 D and get 550 miles out of a full tank would probably do 600 if I ran it into the red. I have no issues with the media system but then again I don't try to operate it in the stupid manner it was in this video. Yes it is no sports car but it is also not slow but what do you expect from a SUV, if you want a sporty drive buy a sporty car. And yes it does have a bit of rood noise but so do all small cars.
Opinions are like arseholes everyone has one.
Vauxhall may have dropped to third place among the UK's best-selling brands in the first 10 months behind Ford and Volkswagen but it still sold more than Peugeot and Citroen combined.(2017).
Great cars having tried competition mokka miles ahead
A woman here! I am driving long term rental Buick Encore in USA. I love it so much that decided to buy its version in Europe - Opel Mokka X - when I will settle in Germany soon. It feels very girly and I think it's deep azure color helps, as I am in California and the sky is almost the same colour. Please, don't pay attention to what this guy says, try it yourself and ask what owners think. I find it light on fuel compared to my trusty Subaru Forester, which I sold recently. My Subaru was bought from new so am comparing apples with apples. Great little car, very comfortable to drive, a bit wobbly and soft drive but I prefer it, much better than hard drive in sporty car. It is big enough for my three medium sized dogs at the back, so perfect for us.
Fails to mention why it is so popular amongst buyers then !!
What a miserable car review. Why are they so popular then ? I've had two of them and totally disagree with most of his complaints. No car is perfect so where's the balance. Unprofessional this guy.
Phone data not needed, just download maps, you are soppy mate.
Seems a bit harsh!
Can he drive? Plus Renault you having a laugh lol
A review that put me off a car I would never have bought anyway.
OK
so what are the alternatives ?
I liked that review, you have helped me to make my mind up about buying a Mokka X, I'm not going to buy one. Thanks.👍
Takes an age for the turbo to come in? Mine is not only instant but in 3 or 4th extremely rapid. 2 gear, it is very easy to get wheel spins. But then I have a 2018 model. Comes with Satnav too. But do decrease the EU mandated eco tyre pressure. 41PSI is way too high - unless you're fully loaded. Far more sure footed with 34psi in the tyres.
Right from the start I thought, you don't like this car. Maybe mention the better cars by name
The plastic trim panels which line the boot are so flimsy they constantly rattle. The access panels to the rear bulbs have tiny clips which WILL break (not might break, WILL break) when you remove the panel for bulb access, which means they rattle as well.
Regardless of whether I personally agree with the review (although in this case I do) hugely refreshing to see a ‘no punches pulled ‘ review. So often these types of reviews are sugar coated for fear of upsetting the manufacture, and being black listed - good on you Parker’s.
In terms of the car, reminds me of the Ford Ecosport - in a class that should be fun, it’s underwhelming, underdone and just lacking any hint of desirability.
Glad you appreciated the video. Chris certainly doesn’t pull his punches - but we’re all the better for it!
I hired one by mistake. It felt cheap and unwieldy. It was uncomfortable and everyone felt car sick.
Inside it felt pokey and narrow like a Corsa on stilts but was sold to me as an upgrade from a Golf/Focus...
So explain their popularity??
Interesting review thanks
What are the cheaper, faster rivals?
Skoda Karoq, Hyundai Tucson, Mazda CX-3 and Vauxhall’s own Crossland X to name a few.
@@ParkersTV the Mokka is £136 per month if leased. Making it a lot more desirable now
You don’t even know what class the car is in do you !
They are in a different class and are not cheaper.
PSA will turn Opel/Vauxhall around soon and this cheap GM crap will be replaced with decent cars
No its the other way round, Vauxhall are bigger than any brand in PSA and there is a reason why.
Yeh just like the good old Peugot 308 crap with poor customer service.
*Opel
We call them Vauxhall in the UK.
Parkers owh ok, why not opel? And btw, I really like your videos!
Glad you enjoy the videos. The reason behind that name starts in the 1970s. General Motors (who own both Vauxhall and Opel) decided to replace Vauxhall products in the UK with Opel products. However, since the Vauxhall name was - and still is - so popular in Britain, the decision was made to keep it and simply rebadge Opel cars. Hope that helps!
Parkers owh that's why. Thank you very much for the explination, keep making these awesome vids!
No problem, we’ll do our best!
