My zafira needs a new clutch and i was like, i can to it myself. But let’s have a look how it’s done. Well after seeing this video I’m not gonna change the clutch by myself… 😂 Keep it up!
@@WMCS Yes it is mate. Your doing good and very informative. That gearbox oil looked very clean when you drained it out. You should do a video on the lift you use that looks a nice bit of kit.
Excellent videos Kevin; your an excellent mechanic mate. I'm going to do my 2004 80 bhp, Vauxhall astra envoy van, that's a 1.7cdti. Can you get away with just lowering the front of the subframe? That's a bloody handy battery wrench you have. Keep up the videos mate, there great:)
Thank you very much mate:) I'm up in the far north west of Scotland, otherwise I would hire you to do it. Excellent videos, much appreciate you answering. ATB John:)
Hello Kevin ! I have this car and engine to !My DMF has issues and i whant to change the all kit !Do you recomand a single mass flywheel or an duoble-mass like original ? I whant to go on the single mass one and i don.t know what to do ?
what kind of breakfast do you eat? I want some of that. Admiration is not too strong a word for the work that you do. Thank you for imparting this knowledge to us. You are GOOD1
Great video but shame most of them bolts have been in and out more times than a cuckoo clock and doesn't show the real struggle getting subframe bolts out.
I’ve got Astra h but it’s the 1.7cdti. Is there much difference in the procedure? Also can you change the flywheel from this position or do you need to drop the whole sub frame? Thanks in advance, and thanks for the videos. They help a lot.
@@WMCS good kevin thanks. I got the lift but I bought the big one and is to heavy and long to carry on my van so i have left in my garage wich one you got.
Hi great work. Going to be doing my 1.7 Cdti Astra h at weekend clutch + duel mass, procedure looks the same? Do you need to use the Self-Adjusting Clutch Kit tool to compress the clutch before hand or can I just use universal alignment tool and take it steady when fitting.( tool mega expensive) Any tips advise appreciated.
Hi Kevin, new subscriber here, love watching the videos you are a mechanical genius!! I live in Spain and have a LHD one of these, 2005 1.9 CDTI is it the same process for mine as this model? Need to do myself as mechanic costs over here are astronomical!! Keep the videos flowing,
Hej Kevin Great work there. Do you use self adjusting clutch on vauxhall/ Opel I have a vectra c 07. 2.2 direct And i dont Know what clutch type is in.
VERY TALL MIDGET 0 yep. Exactly same engine and gearbox... there’s more room in the Astra as the engine bay is a bit longer not as compact as this Zafira is.
Great video. I have the Zafira OPC How do you remove the driveshaft on the gearbox side? I didn't see you remove any bolts... There are 3 or 4 E12 bolts that are impossible to get to.
Hi Kevin, what makes you decide whether to use your lift or not I thought maybe weight of car but no, ? Stay safe everyone 😷 tgc 😀 Gazza. great uploads by the way..

Exactly the same. Only difference you don’t have to touch the starter motor. Browse my channel. I’m sure there’s a 1.7 in there.
I take it this is what you mean when lower one side of the subframe 👍
That’s correct.

Why ATF oil? this gearbox must have 75w80 right?
I want that lift so bad lol
its working in 2004 astra h whithout remove subframe??? 1.9 cdti dtl?
Yes you can.
Good video Kevin
How tight does your impact do the nuts/bolts back up? You obviously have a good sense of how not to overtighten them, what setting do you have it on?
offbeatwarble that wrench is very powerful and it will easily shear off a 18mm bolt head ... I have it on the 3rd setting. But I know how to gauge it.
Can you remove gearbox with this method, thanks!
Yes you definitely can.., I’ll do another video maybe next week. And will fully remove the gearbox without dropping subframe..
