Spearfishing in MASSIVE CAVES in Sicily, Italy 🇮🇹

  • In this episode we are in the beautiful island of Sicily, Italy. The Mediterranean is a very difficult place to dive and it takes some adjustments to get used to how spooky the fish are. However we still find some beautiful fish including corvina, dentex and gilt head bream. The landscape is simply stunning and we locate some epic underwater caves!
    Massive thank you to Cristian for taking us out diving. Please go show his channel some love!

    • @DanielMann

      This is the Orca evo 100. I haven’t used a timber speargun regularly for many years.

    Hi Daniel, Castellammare is beautiful place, this is where I began Freediving. I am going to Ionian sea for sailing and freediving next week so we will be spearfishing also. I find in Mediterranean you need to dive at least 30+m for decent size fish. How deep did you dive in this trip? Greetings from Tenerife! 🤘

    • @DanielMann
      @DanielMann  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Pavol, I dived the Mediterranean all summer and it’s certainly not the case you need to be at least 30m. I shot fish from 8-30m. In this video the deepest was about 26m on the cave with spiny lobsters but the dentex were above the thermocline at 13-14m.
