Super excited to share this one with you! Our 15 year old son helped with the map drawing! Genesis 10 was a little intimidating and time consuming to create for all the long names and places! I learned a lot and have a better idea of who was where in the biblical lands! Enjoy!
@@Robespierre-lI Absolutely! None of us were alive and traveling with them. Tried to research and compare what various folks showed on many different maps as a general consensus. Some just don't agree too.
Super interesting topic!! We're all big one family if we go back alllll the way. Answers in Genesis has an interesting video called "One Race, One Blood." We're the "human race." Maybe we'll finally realize that if it's true that we'll be facing hybridization in the future... altering the genes that God created into something - else. Rabbit trail for more research and study!! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🥰
By this concept the descendants of Ham and Shem always migrate and interact together. Also Abraham, the 12 tribes of Israel and Jesus interaction with the Hamites suggest there's intermarriage as well (Abraham and Keturah). So when did their descendants become white?(Hebrews)
Thank you so much for commenting and for watching my little doodle!! 🥰 Hmmm, that's quite the question! I'm not an academic... but my general thought is that iIntermarriages and resulting offspring would create a beautiful range of skin hues and tones throughout the whole region (both back then, and today.) Abraham, and many others including the infamous King Solomon had "many" wives from all over lands near and far creating lots of babies with different colorations of eyes, skin, and hair etc. It's interesting to read articles about some populations in Northern Africa and Middle East (India too) having blue eyes and lighter skin than surrounding populations in those regions with darker features. The descendants of Abraham are all over the world today and there are different ethnic groups and subgroups, each with their own unique DNA combinations over thousands of years. This would be a fascinating topic to do deep research on. You will find articles with widely differing findings as a quick search revealed serious controversy over describing Hebrew descendants as 'white.' The UA-cam channel Unpacked seemed to have a thorough investigation on this sensitive topic on the history of this label. I encourage you to follow your interest and see where the rabbit trail goes! Thanks for sharing your question, have a blessed day! 🥰
@@dawnemile7499 Have you ever done a DNA test? They sound super risky though these days.... but it sure is fascinating to see all the places in the world that can show up! It's fun to learn where ancestors lived and moved throughout time.
Oh mysterious Enoch! Enoch is mentioned in Genesis 5 in the tree from Adam > Noah! Interestingly, Cain also named his son Enoch, but it's the Enoch, son of Jared, father of Methuselah (Enoch > Methuselah > Lamech > Noah), who is attributed to writing The Book of Enoch. There is a resurgence today of people reading the apocryphal texts. Have you read Enoch's book or any of the others? If you have, what are your thoughts? I've read some of them or listened on audio book out of curiosity. They are fascinating, beautiful, and eye-opening, while a few things are like... wait, what?! I can appreciate both sides of the hot debates on their canon exclusion vs inclusion. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🥰
Genesis 8, 9, and 10 describes that all of mankind died during the Flood - except... those who were on the ark. Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives. When the flood waters fully dried up, they left the ark and then I guess got busy procreating and spreading through the world. ;D Now, there is a lot of controversy regarding 'how' the nephilim were still around in the land - after the flood... when the flood was to get rid of all corruption. I don't have an answer for any of that, but makes me want to keep reading the bible and studying, that's for sure. Not a boring story! Have a blessed day!
😂 hahaha, yes! Thus, was the reason this video took so long to make... was procrastinating a wee bit on how to show that and it not be SUPER dull. It's amazing how interesting things in the Bible become if we give it the time and the chance to dig deeper. New understanding and appreciation under the surface. May you have a blessed rest of your day!
So the Arabs ... would be a mix of Ham & Shem ... especially if Nimrod is responsible for the Tower of Babel. And therefore Arabs predate ... Abraham .. and can not be descended for Ishmael who has a Egyptian mother & married an Egyptian. Nice video. Should have shown a larger map showing all all three descendants intersect & therefore are a mix.
Thank you! It really is quite a lot to dig into isn't it? As I'm reading and learning, more and more questions pop up! That's a neat idea to overlay them... I might have to play with that. I looked it up, Hagar was Egyptian: Gen 21:9 "9 But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking, 10 and she said to Abraham, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac.” and yup, looks like Ishmael married an Egyptian: Gen 21:20 "20 God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer. 21 While he was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt." I was surprised to see that the descendent of Ham "Mizraim" is the same person, and named "Egypt" in other translations. According to wikipedia "Mizraim is the Hebrew cognate of a common Semitic source word for the land now known as Egypt." Interesting, later in Genesis 28:9 Esau married one of Ishmael's daughters. "9Esau went to Ishmael and married Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Abraham’s son Ishmael, in addition to the wives he already had." Esau and of course Abraham, were of the line of Shem. Mizraim is the line of Ham. Lineages are mixing sure sounds like. That whole area of Shinar and the cradle of civilization between the rivers, both Abram (Abraham) (lineage of Shem) and Nimrod (lineage of Ham) were both in similar areas along the rivers traveling about at different times in history. Lots of people sure lived in that part of the world before baby Abram was born. Sure is interesting! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
another rabbit trail. Britannica says: "Before the spread of Islam in the 630s CE, the term ("Arab") referred to the largely nomadic Semitic peoples of the Arabian Peninsula. It came to apply to Arabic-speaking peoples from Africa’s Mauritanian and Moroccan coasts east to Iraq and the Arabian Peninsula and south to Sudan after their acceptance of Islam. Traditionally, some Arabs are desert-dwelling pastoral nomads (see Bedouin), whereas others live by oases and in small, isolated farming villages."
@@DoodletheBible I noticed that you stated "Arabic Speaking Language" but the lineage is a mixture of Semitic/Hamitic. That's the Holy Scripture!! Language is after the people were born. So when did a language represent people
@@patpatches9274 That was a quote from the Encyclopedia Britannica. Not sure I understand your question... and if I did, I'm not a historical linguistic expert and would undoubtedly botch the whole attempt. I did spend an hour trying to research and found a lot of information regarding 'Semitic/Hamitic' language history and found one source that stated that the terms 'Hamito-Semetic and Semito-Hamitic' is out of favor and instead some use the term 'afro-asiatic/Afroasiatic' languages. There was a chart that showed the branches of "Afroasiatic" languages include: Berber (Tuareg, Numidian), Chadic (Hausa), Cushitic (Oromo, Somali), Egyptian, Semitic (Syriac, Amharic, Akkadian, and Phoenician), Omotic (Wolaitta). The website Babbel (great name for a language education company) said this of semetic languages: "The Semitic language family consists of dozens of distinct languages and modern day dialects, but the major Semitic languages are Arabic, Amharic (spoken in Ethiopia), Tigrinya (spoken in Ethiopia and Eritrea), Hebrew, Tigre (spoken in Sudan), Aramaic (spoken in Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Iraq and Iran) and Maltese." Like anything, there's a lot of debate from academics all over the world about everything. Maybe you can contact a linguistic expert? Please share what you find out with us!
@DoodletheBible I'm very impressed with your honest attempt to present your insights on the Holy Scriptures as you learn from your research. At least you don't have an agenda or narrative to present The Scriptures to confirm a European/White supremacy perspective. Thanks for validation of Ham/Shem development as a people in the Scriptures and how the plan of salvation came through them.

Learn some more. Europeans descend from Japheth.
There is no indication that the descendants of Shem and Ham "always" intermarry.
@@dawnemile7499 Keen point! 'always' or 'never' would be broad terms and not be 100% that way every time... Thanks for commenting Dawn!
