Hi Ladies, as soon as I saw that glass bubble I thought it was part of a set of 'Specific Gravity beads' (circa 1809). You are correct the beads would have had a short glass stem attached to them but this could have easily been broken off and probably was fixed to the 'nub' where the bead's bubble was blown in. I've looked at these Specific Gravity bead sets online and now I'm 99.9% convinced that's what it is. Big hugs for you both Xx
Thank you for your comment about the hurricanes in Florida. I have a niece that had a two week old baby when the first hurricane hit this is her first child and her last because she’s 37 and she wanted a child so badly and when she was born. She was so ecstatic, and then she had to worry about her staying safe at two weeks of age and then this week hurricane Milton hit absolutely in the same situation with a newborn baby three weeks old. I stayed up all last night, crying and praying and luckily God had his hand on their house yet again thank you Lord, and praise God, the child, my niece, her husband and are all well and we are so beyond grateful myself live in North Carolina. My son lives in Tennessee on the other side of the border. His house was spared by 4 feet of the raging river that washed through his entire backyard and took every tree he owned, and his house was spared again thank you father cannot thank you enough for the prayers and the concerns. It is going to be a very very long recovery process and for those who did not make it we are grieving. We are rejoicing for those. Who did it will take years and yearsuntil we see some semblance of normal
glad they are safe. I watched the news all night from here in North Carolina. We got minor damage from Helene, but we live in the Center of the state, so it wasn't as horrific as the folks had it in the mountains.
Really enjoy these videos. Two in one week yay. I survived the storm/ Hurricane Milton. Thank you everyone for your prayers. GOD bless you all. I'm subscribed to both channels and enjoy them thoroughly.
Finding such beautiful treasure to do with what you want. The hollow bubble is stunning 😮that is definitely a crazy cool find. Everything was amazing. Have a fantastic weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Thank you so much for that thoughtful comment about Florida. I just got back home today since I was in an evacuation zone. My house was okay other than a few missing shingles on the roof., but there is complete destruction all around me. Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton were only 10 days apart. We’ve flooded 3 times in 2 years here in Crystal River. This time the storm was more about wind than flooding since the storm hit land further south of us. It’s very sad to see. Thank you for your videos, they always provide a wonderful moment of escape. Your comments of concern were so very appreciated. 😘 I love your glass bubble, such a fun find. 👍😁
Thanks Ladies, that bubble is awesome!! Thank you also for your concern over here, I am not sure if you are talking Helene or Milton. I live in Florida but I am up in the NE part of the state and been very lucky. My heart goes out to all those affected by either hurricane or the horrific tornados in Florida yesterday.
My son and his family made it through. They have water damage. I mean they they have damage for sure and they weren’t even on the coast, but the sad thing is if you finally claim for the hurricane, the insurance company is going to cancel your policy. I think that sucks but they’re alive their house and we’ve got a lot to be thankful for other people are way way way worse thanks for the heads up and I appreciate it.
Thank you Kate and Fleur for another wonderful treasure hunt 🥰. Love going along with you Lovelies for some fun and relaxation 😍😍 And to all those affected by the hurricanes, sending heartfelt prayers 🙏🙏 to all
Thank you for your thoughts… that really means a lot🥰 my mom and I are safe. No damage to the house but we lost 5 cedar trees, our oldest pear tree and a very old oak tree and a ton of rain. Which, when you think about it we are the lucky ones compared to the ones who lost loved ones and everything they had. I really enjoy watching both of your channels. It’s always such fun watching you find bits and pieces of history and I’m always in awe of the things you two create. Again thank for your thoughts 🥰🥰🥰
Hi ladies from Georgia! We were hit very hard by Helene. It is nice to be able to watch you again. The half pipe pieces would make lovely wall sconces with dried flowers. Could be inside or outside of a dolls house. So many goodies today. Thanks for sharing❤
That tiny bubble is amazing, it reminds me of the blown glass dolls eyes you've found in the past, I wonder if it was a similar thing maybe painted? Idk, but great find!
Wonderful finds and thank you for sharing your video with us.iwatch you all the time.your friend Shirley from new Bern, north Carolina USA ❤❤❤😮🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😊
Isn't the strange brown ball at 10.20 an oak apple? It certainly looks like one, even has the hole that the wasp comes out of! (Van Gogh used to use those to make ink for his sketches! )
I love you ladies, I really do. Growing up on a beef farm, however, I need to let you know about a few things. Cows are female. Male cattle are either bulls (uncastrated) or steers. Oh! It's a dollhouse sized witches ball! So cool!
I thought Sunny cats breathing like sweet little snuffles .. very funny at the end with the paw cleaning and your exclamation Kate ! Extraordinary the glass bubble and that it survived 💚
Oh dear.. I'll have to do the same thing: add a "like" and leave the video to play while I take the dogs out then go to bed... I'll be back to watch it properly in the morning... Looking forward to it! kindest greetings to you in the meantime! k
Great video. You should have kept the small broken dollhouse cup.. You could have made a miniature Frankenstein ornament for your dollhouse. Would have looked good on a dolls sideboard?
Thank you ladies for another relaxing and beautiful video❤💯 I loved the bubble and in my old brain it looked like a dolphin tear. So many of those pipes are made with the tiniest tools😘 that could only be made by a needle point tool🤔 It is always so great to see a new video from this channel or your crafting channel. And by the way, the frog was so cool to watch too🤩
3:20 I wonder if it broke off of a bunch of grapes. Fake fruit (glass, wax, plastic) for fruit bowls have been popular through the ages. Either that, or it was some decoration on a glass vase is my guess. I think the fact that it is hollow- and therefore more fragile- means that it wasn’t intended for use as a marble. I agree with you, Kate- is a wonder thatit has survived!
I LOVE WATCHING YOU LADIES FIND THINGS I WONDER WHAT YOU WILL FIND NEXT AND I ALSO LIKE SEE THE THE SCENERY THAT I WOULD NEVER GET TO SEE IF IT WASN'T FOR PEOPLE LIKE TWO MAKING THESE VIDEOS.SO THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEOS AND YOUR ACCENT WHICH IS WAY DIFFERENT FROM MINE.I LOVE TO HERE YOU TALKING WITH THE ACCENT YOU HAVE. YOUR FRIEND FROM AMERICA.
I have a blue-blown glass bubble that was used as a net float. perhaps that little glass ball was used as a float? Oh! You could use it in the doll house ;)
Specific gravity beads are used to measure the density of a liquid at a given temperature and thus its alcohol content. These beads (pictured here in their circular wooden box) were made around 1790 by William Twaddell of Glasgow. The set has 18 glass beads.
Fishing floats are just like your hollow marble. I was looking at vids from Alaskan beachcoming. They do come in all sizes, not sure how tiny though. One chap flies into the beach in a tiny airplane, so cute.
That was really interesting . I have some glass bubbles in a very light pink. I thought they were for floating on an aquarium as an old lady gave me an aquarium on a plaster stand when I was young and it had floating glass bubbles and a red glass duck. Thats all I can remember but there could have been more things. I have used the bubbles on a water feature on the patio. Did yu manage to find out what the words were on the crown of the base on the broken pipe? Like it when we get lots of videos in a week. Thank you girls.
Long time ago I had a cluster of hand blown grapes that looked like your mystery marble except they were amber. Maybe it is a marble made that way to try something else. Nice mudlark. Moo!
It could be a Japanese float. They use larger ones to hold up nets when they fish. I have a number 6 size found in Hawaii. They are founds on shore in Alaska as well. That may have been a fishing lure size. So that might help in your research.
I only begun to watch your video and something caught my interest, The cup shard at 7:36 the pink leaf impression on it looks very much like the wild medicinal plant Shepherd’s purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris). It struck me odd, this pattern and cup was from the 1800's right? and the Shepard's purse medicine reduces swelling and bleeding especially in the Liver. which looking at the sicknesses going around at that time, a tea of the plant would of helped people greatly. I wonder if that had any bearing as to why the pattern was placed on the cup or bowl?
It may have been a glass float that was used to fish with. I have seen some that were made out of cork, then later made out of plastic. I have never seen a glass one before. Now, many people use plastic bottles to float fish with. When you see your float go down you usually have a fish, or a turtle, or a crayfish on your hook.

Make a Halloween room in a dolls house. It could be a real crystal ball 🔮 🥹🥲
I like this idea!
Great idea!
A Victorian seance room!!
Or perhaps just skip the dark arts...

So good to hear and see Sunny Cat. He adds so much to your channel. Hope you compensate him with a bit of treat. 😂
I love the cows head - she'd make a brilliant doll with a milk maid's costume. Thanx for sharing!
Get well soon Sunny cat
The bubble is magical! Kate your acorn nail polish is so perfect for fall! ❤❤❤ ❤🇺🇸 Thank you for your well wishes.
The cow head reminds me of the cow on the laughing cow cheese container!
As soon as you found the Glass Bubble i instantly thought fishing float as it looks like a couple i have bought from antiques shops.
Very sweet of you both to mention what's happening in Florida and what has happened in North Carolina here in America Thank You 🙏❤️💯👍
It could be a fantastic crystal ball in one of your miniature creations. A little gypsy caravan or witches grotto. Thanks for the lovely video.
Or perhaps just skip the dark arts...
@@jeme7339oh calm ur titties
I suspect everyone would love the frog video, I certainly did!

I love Sunny cat! ❤❤❤ Thank you for your good thoughts. America appreciates them 😊
I love the bubble! I also love when Sunny Cat makes an appearance. His breathing into the microphone during the roundup was too cute.

Good day ladies, I love the little glass ball. It reminds me of the bunch of glass grapes my grandmother had.
As soon as I saw the cow head, my thought was it would make the head of another adorable doll.
Sunny gave it a lick of approval!
Hi ladies from Georgia! We were hit very hard by Helene. It is nice to be able to watch you again. The half pipe pieces would make lovely wall sconces with dried flowers. Could be inside or outside of a dolls house. So many goodies today. Thanks for sharing❤
Love the bubble and the cows head, it would make a lovely doll. Great to see Sunny!
Thank you for your Florida good wishes. My relatives came through OK. 👍♥️
Well done girls. Love the bubble
Thank you, I am in Florida and am safe. But your kind words mean a whole lot.
Don't know you but I'm glad you're safe
me, too!
Always love your videos . Thank you for being sweet to the people in my neck of the woods.
My friends in Florida made it through, they have yet to get back home but I am thankful they are alive
🙏🙏🙏
Make a witch ball to hang outside your Victorian dollhouse
You have the most interesting and well paced channel on UA-cam! You two have such shared joy, you bring it to others!
The sock pipe stem looks like it would make a good mop for a doll's house.
Wonderful as always, the glass ball is amazing. 💛🧡🤎
Some amazing treasures found ladies, that sphere with the bubble inside is so interesting, tfs x Julie
Wouldn’t the cow head be amazing as a butcher shop sign like in the old days? So great for a miniature display! Love your walks…I never miss one!
So many shroom forms!!! 🔴
Cool empty bobble - sorry, no additional theories.
Love the cow - so cute!
That tiny bubble is amazing, it reminds me of the blown glass dolls eyes you've found in the past, I wonder if it was a similar thing maybe painted? Idk, but great find!

😂😂😂😂😂 cute cat in the way camera in point at cat. Funny cat. 😊😂😂😂 I love see your collection that you find it.
Looks like a fishing bobber to me.
Love the cow too.
You could make a little fortune teller doll/figure with that cool hollow glas ball 🥰
Isn't the strange brown ball at 10.20 an oak apple? It certainly looks like one, even has the hole that the wasp comes out of! (Van Gogh used to use those to make ink for his sketches! )

I should have kept watching! Fleur immediately thought the same thing of course!!!

Hi mounting the cows head in the Dollhouse is a Wonderful Idea😮 Thanks🙋♀️🌌😊
I'm in So. FL and was not affected by either hurricane. Thank you for voicing your concerns.
Why do you throw away the beautiful glass stoppers ? Someone would be happy to have them.
They have so many they leave it for someone else to find.
the Holloways lid would make a great headboard for a bed.
Great video. You should have kept the small broken dollhouse cup.. You could have made a miniature Frankenstein ornament for your dollhouse. Would have looked good on a dolls sideboard?
Please please can you possibly show the Christmas decorations you make from your treasures, I adore your magical timeless ways xxxx
Very cool finds 🤩🤩💖

I've seen glass balloon figurines in antique shops
😊
Fishing bobber? Finial decoration for top of lampshade? I had a red marble that came out of a copper flower screw on finial for living room lamp.
the terra cotta pipe reminded me of a mermaid.
✨️💖✨️
was that a red knuckle bone thingy near the cows head? it ws the lines on it that made me wonder?
The hair sculpture thing reminds of a Jesus sculpture or a Roman or Greek person❤😊
It could be a Japanese float. They use larger ones to hold up nets when they fish. I have a number 6 size found in Hawaii. They are founds on shore in Alaska as well. That may have been a fishing lure size. So that might help in your research.
The flowing hair pipe might have been Nostradamus or Michael Angelo?
I see Holbrook LTD on the little bottle stop. ❤
It's a fairy crystal ball.
This also could have been part of a bunch of blown glass grapes!
Could the glass bubble be the knob off a glass lid for a sugar bowl, jam jar, condiment dish, etc?
I only begun to watch your video and something caught my interest, The cup shard at 7:36 the pink leaf impression on it looks very much like the wild medicinal plant Shepherd’s purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris). The flower probably glows under black light.
nice fungi
🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏

i quit that kind of fishing because i hooked too many turtles. we need them to help keep our waters clean.
