Love it! I just bought a 1999 Burgundy with just over 90,000 miles. Beautiful and clean. Everything works. I agree with everything you said. It is better than a new car. I love mine, too!
I currently own one of these 98 E320. Garage kept its entire life even at work. The best car I've ever owned. Low miles but daily driver. I can't imagine owning another car. I've spent $1,000 in repairs in 20 years on this amazing vehicle. I use only synthetic oil and provide proper maintenance. Dream car! I average almost 30mi. per gallon. Truly amazing!
Matt Christie... that's awesome! I'd love to see a photo of your W210. It's time to replace the pads and brake fluid in mine, that'll be my project sometime over the next few weeks. Amazing that you've spent only $1000 in 20 years on repairs, but I can believe it, they are great cars!
I just one two weeks ago at an auction. I instantly fell in love with it the moment I drove it. Mine is the same exactly color as yours. It’s just beautiful, like the color of Champagne!! When I clicked on the video I was like oh wow that’s my car, same year and everything.
i had the 99 e320 which is quite the same thing...with 285k Miles...only normal maintenance, not going to find a more reliable and comfortable car especially for long trips, i absolutely love them.
I know it's been awhile since you posted, but none the less -- what a great find! I'll do one better. We wouldn't have thought it when we found ours, as we were looking for a sedan, specifically '97 - '99. Several years back, when we pulled up to look at ours we were disappointed to find it was a wagon, but we still tried it out and couldn't have been more wrong about it. "Lola" (name given by wife) has proven us wrong ever since then. We have the 98 e320 4matic wagon with additional options (same color) and it's super, SUPER diverse! Now with 244k, we still get near 30 mpg, and I'd put it up against any truck with a canopy! We'd like to get a second, but it'd have to be one of those "grandma," very loved vehicle.
I just acquired a 97 E320 with just under 18,000 documented miles - one owner, dealer serviced since new. I picked it up in Texas and drove it home to the Pacific Northwest last week. Difference is you have the V6, I have the inline 6. Still, over 28 mpg on the way back, and it handled like it was on rails. I also have a 2011 E550 and I agree totally with you about the ride difference. The W210 is a phenomenal car. By the way, you can get replacement headlight lenses from FCP Euro - very reasonable price in my opinion. Great car! Enjoy it!
i have the same car in black. put a lot of money in "restoration repairs" to make it right mechanically so i know all is good with that part.230,000 mi. runs like new. love this car. BTW got her up to 100 mph last month and she was purring like a kitten.
Congrats on your E320! Before you do anything major, disconnect the battery under the backseat for about 15 seconds and reconnect. See if that fixes your issue. I have a similar issue where things sometimes stop working, for example the driver's side window may not work, or the sunroof may not work, or the power seats or power mirrors. I can disconnect the battery and it'll reset everything and it'll all work again. If it sits for several days, sometimes it may not work again, then I disconnect the battery again and it all works again. I have to have my mechanic look at it.
Nice car! I love W210. And that W140 in the back! I love buying beat up and rusty old school Benzes and restoring them lol. Currently restoring a W123. Cheers☺
VITO'S GARAGE Thanks! This is my first W210. My dad has one and I see why he loves his so much, they are great cars! I enjoy watching your videos, I've been following you for awhile. Regards 👍
Hi there! I'm about to buy one of this stronghold on weels for my own. And the only thing that takes me a little bit back is fuel..!!! 😅 It's that expensive as it seems to ride? Greetings from Argentina!
Hello I just bought that model in good condition and the truth is, everything you say in relation to how I act in a car when driving it, I am so happy to buy it and believe me it is the same as yours in perfect condition. the truth is I am not going to change this car for a long time.
Hi Hector.... Glad to hear you found a nice W210, as well. They really are great cars! I'm planning to keep mine a long time too, at least until the wheels fall off! I'd love to see a picture of your car.
To follow up, I did restore the headlights using Sylvania's restoration kit. It worked well and made the headlights look brand new again! Took about 30 minutes per side. Take your time and they'll look beautiful again.
OK. I'm 50 and a working man. But when I was young I didn't think so much as now about buying a car I wanted. I've driven many cars. Most of the cars I've own have been older, cheap cars. Some were good cars, sporty cars, etc. I drive them a few years and then dispose of them 2,3 5 years later. I try to fix as much as possible and when there is something more difficult be engine or transmission I know mechanics. So what would be wrong with buying a $2000 280K mi. Mercedes, like the 85 Corvette I bought once for $5K or any other car? I guess it got something to do with my age or something. Maybe it's what people say... Whatever I'm gonna go get that Mercedes tomorrow 4/13/21 I guess...
@@memeco50 what model Mercedes for you get and what has been your experience? I posted a video of my 98 E320 a while back that you commented on when you were thinking of buying your Benz. So how has it been for you?
In some ways maybe, I’ve owned them all. The W210 is the nicest driving of the E’s I’ve owned of the older generations. Of course, I now have a 2019 E300, and though it’s lighter than any I’ve owned, it’s exceedingly nice. The air ride and technology is off the chain. But I still love to drive my boring by comparison W210.

if you care about it just a little bit, it will take care of you for a very long time, don't let it go...it's worth every penny.

Congrats....you'll enjoy it, I'm sure. They are great highway cars!
A truely amazing car... Found 1 for myself an E200 2002 with low mileage (below 94K)... I am loving it...
One of the best deals in the used car market. Especially if you maintain your own car.

Cool... Don't think I've ever seen a limo version of the W210.
