I'm an American living in Southeast Asia, though not the Philippines. While the Jollibee combo is indeed popular I think it has more to do with spaghetti and sweet Filipino tomato sauce being popular itself and thus a side at a chicken place. What I find interesting is that spaghetti and fried chicken is a popular combo throughout SE Asia at food court stalls labeling themselves as "western." I'm really not sure where they got the idea that this was western style food but it's everywhere. I actually wonder if maybe he's seen this and thought that would be a good thing to say to a "western" appearing person.
Possible, as their English was fairly good, but not as good as a native speaker. Filipinos usually have a good understanding of English, but are not perfect at it.
The "Do it" memes cracked me up. As a side note, I first came to this channel for the scambaiting content - it was all I'd watch. Now it's among my least favourite content that you produce, not that I don't enjoy it, just that I have come to enjoy the other content that much more. Over time, my interest and attention has turned away from screens and more towards nature and I think your channel really deserves some credit for that.

Update: they sent out the check with a USPS postal code number and said it should arrive in a few days. Allegedly a mover (who needs to be payed of course) will deliver the fee 🤣

What are the rough proportions of the different version of advance fee scam scripts you get, assuming you care to keep track? For example: -Dying widow(er) wants someone inherit all of their wealth -Embezzling bank account of rich person who is now dead and has no relatives -Random government body sending ATM card/consignment box filled with money (possibly disguised as gold bars) -Winnings in a lottery you did not enter -Romance scam -Middleman for purchasing difficult-to-get materials Maybe the proportions of these scripts roughly denotes how successful they are (or were).
I haven't kept count, but I feel like it changes in waves that come and go. What I'm seeing most of recently (and it's been this way for maybe a year) is scams that begin by pretending they are the middle of an ongoing conversation - ie "About that ATM card that you have been struggling to recover...." - these scams are designed to trap the attention of someone who is being, or has already been scammed.

Maybe the proportions of these scripts roughly denotes how successful they are (or were).
I haven't kept count, but I feel like it changes in waves that come and go. What I'm seeing most of recently (and it's been this way for maybe a year) is scams that begin by pretending they are the middle of an ongoing conversation - ie "About that ATM card that you have been struggling to recover...." - these scams are designed to trap the attention of someone who is being, or has already been scammed.
@@AtomicShrimp Thanks for answering. I guess one shouldn't be surprised that scammers are trying to milk old victims now that it's harder to get new ones.
