Let's just say it's margin of error at this point. I haven't seen videos yet but I bet the RTX 4080 Super has a better binned die than the regular one ; an overclock of the core + one the better memory it has might make it slightly better than the regular 4080...
@@Hateroz It's not better binned. I've seen on the reviews 4080 super overclocking worse than my 4080 on the core. They usually have slightly better memory overclock only.

The 4080 super wasn't meant to outperform the 4080, it was simply meant to be a cheaper and a more reliable option.

You’re thinking as a 4090 buyer…won’t. A 4090 buyer is the kind of guy “I want the best, no matter what”. That kind of guy may have a lot of money or it’s just a guy always using the credit card. At the end, they are not rational, they just want it. I have a cousin with a very standard wage and he bought a BMW M2 that is completely out of his payroll league, but he bought it (credit) because he wanted it.
You can find 4090 at msrp really easily nowadays

@@ricarmig I for example got the 4090 so i DON'T have to upgrade for at least 4 years. I don't need the best card every time but you can easily see, that the 4080 probably will not get consistent 60FPS in 4k in the upcoming games in the next 2 years, so if i got that one, i would have to buy twice, a 4080 and then a 5080 or something like that. With my 4090 i can just sit back and relax, it will definetly be able to handle any game in the next 2 years.

Such big gap in performance and price between the 4090 and the 4080 has always made me wonder whether there would be a 4080Ti, although this looks increasingly unlikely as we get closer to the release of the 50 series.
Well at least our grandpa bought the game and actually owned the game to keep with him forever unlike us, renting services and buying just to get removed later in our own account lamo.
I haven't played Starfield yet, but that running segment felt painful, seemed like the character was sprinting and hardly getting anywhere

Can't the Super be OCd for extra gains? I did it to my 4070 ti Super and on the Far Cry 6 benchmark test I had a 28% improvement with that game's crappy RT enabled. I was not expecting that level of uplift.
HP didn't even get 60 FPS AVG on 4090, i think the real issue here is greedy game devs who can't optimize their game not the hardware
Would have preferred for frame generation to be turned off for Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk. It'll showcase how both the 4080 & 4090 really handle those games without the extra fake frames.

4080s performs as well as most people would need. I don't need my games running at 120fps @ 120hz and I don't play competitive games anymore. I likely wouldn't noticed a huge difference in Single Player games 4080 Vs 4090

Better 1% lows and temps on 4080 S (compared to standard 4080). Due to the lower temps could do with some OC then further boost performance. Not quite what i would expect from a Super model but...better than nothing.

Always playing at 4k max settings and I'm using x4 msaa not taa
I'm getting 54fps but it's enough
The game look so real and amazing I don't want to ruin the visuals just for get much higher fps
I can use ultra settings with taa and get 90fps at 4k

It's a single player game and it's look x4 times more beautiful on max settings and the msaa x4 is so expensive for the fps but it's making it gorgeous

However high end graphics cards is for enjoying the beauty of the games at maximum settings always without upscale too only use it if the game really really heavy like cyberpunk with path Tracing at 4k because you already will have 40fps or less on native so dlss quality really needed or if you an ex console player you can lock 30fps and enjoy

Same story in cyberpunk with pathtracing, it drops to the 20s at 4k native. You have no idea what you are talking about. And the point of this video was for comparison, so as long as the settings are the same on both cards, why does it matter ?

Wait for 5090
damned if you do, damned if you don't. Some of the leaks are accurate and some are 100% BS. There are too many fakes coming out of the woodwork. Some leaks say the 5090 will only be 30% faster and some say 100%. Nvidia is not 100% sure if they're going with a 384-bit or 512-bit GDDR7 bus for the 5090, and the node to node improvements are not nearly as good. However, Nvidia could have gotten more performance out of the N4 node.
Personally I looked at buying a 3090ti, but waited for the 4090. I wasn't able to find a card until 6 months after it was released. You could wait, but once the 5090 comes out, you'll have to be aggressive with checking stock. If you want a Strix card, then that will be even tougher to find.
5090 will drop this year.
The 5090 is worth waiting for only on the assumption that the 4090 will fall in price to $ 1,500. The 5090 will be much more powerful, but at the same time it will eat more electric power (a more powerful power supply and heat dissipation) and most importantly the 5090 will cost more than $ 2,000. Definitely 5090 for enthusiasts and for work.
The 5090 will be out at the end of this year, if you can wait it's not long. I wouldn't say the same if it were for a 5070, since these will not come out, initially, until the first quarter of 2025.

My pc is in my profile picture I went with my first all white high end pc with the gigabyte aero oc 4090/ 7800x3d/ 64 gigs of ddr5 in the white phanteks nv7 case. I deep clean my pc once a month. I would recommend you look at undervolting videos on the 13900k, replace the thermal paste, buy a contact frame for the cpu to help reduce the temperature, deep clean your pc inside and outside and if you need to take it all apart to deep clean do that, improve the cable management for better airflow, delete apps and games you are not using or don't need to free up space on your ssd, don't use Google Chrome unless if you need to and use opera gx and go to the settings for opera gx to make it more efficient, deep clean the area the pc is in whether it is your room or the living room etc., buy an air purifier to help reduce the amount of lint that gets in the pc. You might have to get a better and or bigger case for more airflow. Look at cleaning and replacing the thermal pads on the 4090. This is everything I could think of off of the top of my head to help improve temps.
@otakufedido49 Greg Salazar and a few other people on youtube clean pc's so you can see how they deep clean. I don't do what they do because that is a lot of extra work but I clean my pc with q tips, a makeup brush and glass cleaner. I will clean my pc this week when I am off of work.
A 4080 super is a good enough card, but not for playing at 4K resolution with ultra settings, and I know that when buying it. I will be playing in Full HD with ultra settings and maybe in 2K. Who is even satisfied with 60 FPS? That's not for me.

Glad I got the 4080 Super for MSRP in germany when it launched. The 4090 is just not worth the cost. Its barely 35% faster in best cases but costs basically twice what a 4080 Super costs..
It's not dedicated for gaming anyways, more towards AI/Machine Learning and such stuff and that's what makes it way expensive
