I had no idea he was so young. I can completely see why his confusion came now, and especially when being written to mentor a veteran that you grew up idolizing. If I was in his position, even at 35 I would be thinking wtf how am I supposed to make this a main event level deal.
Lio has some of, if not THE, best ring flow in the biz right now. Clean and smooth as hell. So fucking fun to watch.
He wasn't completely bad at it, he just didn't know what to do with it. If he had someone like MVP to learn from or soomeone to help him along the way, he could've done pretty good
I agree. If the timing was right and MVP was there at the same time Lio was there it could've been even better. And Lio did the best job he could with the tools given to him and no one can take that away from him

I think he did good considering that he wasn't known as promo maker. Lashley Lashley chant and the surprised face Lio made was memorable.
Lio was amazing as Lashley’s manager. I still look at their clips together and laugh. He probably didn’t realise just how over he was with a section of the fans and he really made Lashley relevant again

After he's done wrestling I would love to see him as a manager. He was entertaining at it.
But I gotta say I really liked Lio as manager for Lashley. He was the perfect annoying manager who took some great manager bumps in the right moments. I think he made Lashley great. Without Lio at that point Lashley could not be pushed because his lack of mic skill basically. imo.

Good Thursday morning to you and great video post. Reply: I listened to this show for the first time on yesterday. Great interview overall, you definitely got Lio Rush to open up about the particulars of what happened in AEW. In my opinion and honestly I was shocked that he even went there considering he and Mark Henry had words (beef). I listened and follow you on Google Podcast among many shows including Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Bad Faith Podcast with Briana Joy Gray.
IMO Rush could have become a great manager if he embraced it. In Vince's world Rush was too small to be anything else.
