Hi oluv i dont know if you even remember this but im one of your first subscribers on youtube and back in the day i even recieved a anker soundcore speaker from you which i will forever keep, it sits in my garage for now haha! You sent it to sweden! I will soon subscribe to the patreon too as i just created an account! However i have a question. I have owned the earfun free 1 oluv edition which i unfortunately lost in a taxi in macedonia! Luckily u just released the earfun free pro 1 which i enjoy very much! I just bought some bose quietcomfort ultra and used my earfuns as a reference as i enjoy the sound (except for some weird treble peaks). And i just returned the bose as they sounded off in the upper mid to low treble region. I would like to know if you would recommend the new earfun free pro 3 or 2 or are the free pro 1 still good enough today! Thank you my old friend for all the videos over the years. You have helped me with both purchasing decisions and with everything from how music should sound to all the technical stuff with meassurments and such!
I love this stuff man. You save us so much money. We should throw you a couple bucks for your wonderful reviews.
Thank you for this video.
Keep up the good work.
Very happy with your EQ setting(Boosted )in the EarFun app.
Also have the 1MORE Evo and still does a very good job. Nice to hear the comparison in the video.
Hi Oluv, what do you think of the Denon Perl Pro??
Truly appreciate a review with sound samples and ANC comparisons! Made it an easy choice to order them using your code. I'm also glad you chose to collaborate on earbuds in this price range because I just cant justify $$$ for a disposable item(i.e non-replaceable batteries). Would love to hear(and maybe buy) the new Denon Perl pros but at $350 disposable isn't gonna happen for me..
HELLO, I was looking for good sounding headphones on the internet some years ago and I ended up with the comments on your channel.
You liked your point of view and dedication at that time but found you a bit to "aggressive" in your opinion... Nowadays I still like your dedication and I like even more your point of view because it evolved, specially on the topic on "perfect sound". You're a human and making mistakes is normal ! Still you got the heart, and that's what made me like you Oluv. Cheers
Oluv, how would you compare these to the air pro 3s for someone looking to buy a pair?
Just thanks!!
How do they compare to the older EFP2 or EFP1?
you should partner on an over the ear bluetooth headphone. I would likely buy that if you were happy with the product and tuning.
Hello Sir Oluv, I just wanted to ask what's the version of firmware that you tuned on the Earfun Uboom L so that I can set mine to your tuning? 😊
If I remember right, it’s anything from 0.43 to 0.48. After 0.48 is the bass boosted vesion
I ordered these after the original Free Pro OE buds started to slowly fall apart after nearly 3 years of use. Also, the right bud refused to detect if I put it in the charging case like 90% of the time.
I really like the multi connect feature and trust that the build quality was improved with these.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit disappointed with the sound quality, I guess you spoiled me with the old ones in that regard 😊. It's quite a shame that it wasn't possible to do a real fine tuning with parametric EQ this time, as it feels impossible to come close with the 10 band EQ in the app. I'm still playing with it though using your preset as a base.
Yeah, i'm in your same boat, i guess i got spoiled. I bought the original Free Proo Oluv Edition, and i was so satisfied i bought another regular pair which i equalized via the parameters Oluv provided on his Patreon. I was really hoping these new Free Pro 3 were at a similar sound level, but they are way way too boomy, both with Oluv's preset, than with all the bass set to the minimum. I hope one day they'll give him the ability to work on the dsp instead of the ten bands equalizer. Until then i'll send them back and hope my old Free Pros keep going strong.
I got mine last week and absolutely love them for work! I paired them with spinfit Omni tips, and they work great. Your boosted sig sounds fantastic! Is your target a w shape? Also the anc is way better than I thought it would be for the $50 I paid, much better than the soundpeats opera 5.
Can confirm, ANC was really surprising..
Im having connections problems but i do love them
🙂Hi Oluv Oluv and danke shön for your videos...
🤔: Can you somehow post here the earfun free air 3 apk equalizer setting...I am trying to make them sound more neutral ..but none of the earfun apk presets is any good..all bad...and they do not sound well...muddy......not sure if you can take a screenshot of the earfun equalizer setting and post it here..so I can try to copy the setting
thanks
I bought a pair of the JBL 100s while waiting for my free pro 2s last year, they were so uncomfortable to use and didn't want to stay in my ears no matter what size tips used.
Hi from India, Oluv! Thanks for sharing details about these TWS buds. Earfun has only just started selling products on Amazon in India and we are excited to get a chance to buy high value audio products tuned by you. Currently, the price of Free Pro 3 after conversion to USD is a little under $80 in India. Is it possible for you and Earfun to create a 25% off discount code for the Indian amazon store as well? It would really be a boon for Indian audio enthusiasts who usually have a much lower budget than their counterparts in the west. Thanks and Cheers!
👍
Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro ❤
Wonder if the eq you made for the buds is using anc or not. Big shift changes sound so was wondering if compensated for that?
I have settings for ANC on my Patreon
@@oluvsgadgets so the oluv equalizer on the app doesn’t compensate for the shift when applying anc? There is a big bass increase when turning on anc. So that makes a difference when using any of the equipment settings
@@paulswydam5064anc changes the sound, there is no automatic compensation, you need to correct manually for that
@@oluvsgadgets hey oluv, i guess patreon doesn't work in my country? tried VPN but payment issue, is there any other way you could share these eq settings with ANC on, maybe on your next video?
I did notice the bump around 100Hz, so I keep turning Off the ANC. maybe I don't need to now...
Cool.
Nice demonstration with your setup.
The best for all
Oluv, any recommendations for replacing a Teufel Boomster? (2nd generation, not the last one). I need something better that won't go too crazy in price
Stormbox Blast
@@oluvsgadgets and even if it costs a little more, can you recommend something else? (a Jbl model in particular or the newest teufel boomster for instance)
@@Cptblogh not really, the Partybox Encore maybe, but battery life sucks on this. I got like 1h at maximum. aside from that, I would say it's the best in this class and size.
@@oluvsgadgets The Tribit being best in its class also when it comes to sound clarity and precision (not only bass)? And have you had the chance to test the new Teufel Boomster?
What is the song at14.00 and 15.20 called?
I'm wearing them listening to this. Very good for a 60€ IEM though relatively far from the personalized EQ's of EFFP2. I'll recommend these to the people who don't want the hassle of setting up the EFFP2. Bluetooth range is better, size is clearly bulkier. That's what I've spotted so far. ANC has been better as well.
I'm using the EFFP1 with Oluvs Sound Tunings for a long time. They sound much better than the new EFFP3 (also with Oluvs 'neutral' tuning). The EQ in the app is too limited. I hope there will be a WORKAROUND way to tune the EFFP3 😏
Thanks for the indeep analysis. Really interesting and explanatory. Realted to the discount code ... can you make it available for Amazon Spain?
I was asking the same thing😉
Howdothey compare toairpro3in anc and sound quality?
hi, which couplers are you using in the video ...?
Can you please review the TOZO Golden x1?
No, IEM sound is too individual and all targets are simply crap
Hi Oluv, any recommendation for successor of fabulous Lypertek Tevi? Batterries in earphones started dying after years. I do not care of price that much but prefer good price x performance ratio as Tevi was. Just music through Spotify on iP5 Pro. Maybe Sony WF-1000XM5? Thanks 😊
You can try the Earfun Free Pro 2 with my custom tuning.
@@oluvsgadgetsthanks, will check that video. They seem to be funny cheap here in CZ :) 3rd gen is better or not?
@@zbynekskrampal8530 not better, but you can try them anyhow
@@oluvsgadgets ok, ordered 3rd gen, just for design reasons. As soon as it comes, will check that Patreon for tuned EQ. Thanks.
Although the free pro 3 has an EQ setting by me it’s far not as detailed as the Free Pro 2 which you can equalise by a fully parametric 10 band EQ
These sound really dang good for a budget tws. Good enough that I don’t bring my AirPods Pro 2 to work with me anymore.
It would be good to see a sound comparison with the free pro 2s. The ANC on the 2s is a big improvement over the 1s and for the price you can't complain but yes wind is the biggest problem with the 2s.
Even Sean Olive thinks Harman IEM target has issues and very few reviewers like it. The bass portion is good though.
No for IEMs you need a completely different bass, IEMs measure differently to overears given that both should sound the same
@@oluvsgadgets Well it's better than the sub-bass focused that's very popular at least since instrumental bass in rock and metal for example isn't that deep often.
How do you like the fit when wearing them for an extended period? Especially compared to v2.
they tend to slip out slightly over time, but they never hurt or become uncomfortable
I have purchased them too and this time they even included foam tips. This makes everything complete for me.🎉❤
Combined with the correct size earhook they stay put and more comfortable than my EarFun Free Pro 2
Get spinfit Omni tips with them and they won’t slip out. They are like a grippy version of spinfit w1, but short enough for tws.
Nice... but a bit booming bass and a bit "harsh/metallic" Treble? Not that natural actually (in my ears and also the it's just from a video)
Earfun free pro 2 with your personalised eq is way better, but in terms of features and the staging, the earfun free pro 3 win
What's your opinion on the harman ie sound?
He doesn’t like it. He likes diffuse field / etymotic
@@beliveinurselfhe doesn’t like any target. only his. for some weird and strange reason.
Love your ANC charts.
It's so refreshing... and German, to see ANC so quantified. Other reviewers just BS us with "ANC is good!".
In addition to using the AirPods as reference, you should also use Bose QC Ultra, as they're currently the strongest ANC on the market. AirPods are the benchmark for Transparency mode.
More interesting would be a comparison of the 3 gens of Earfun headphones vs Sony's XM4 & 5.
I am listening this with my Sony WF-1000XM5 and can hear the differences between all the buds very good.
Soundcore motion x600 review ???
it's all on Patreon
Hi Oluv, why can’t i use your discount code on the Spanish website?
I must say this earphone is good however the app is not working couldnt detect the device
The bluetooth range is not quite good
Try to log out from your account. In my case it helped and the app found the device again.
@@Pokeydot004 thanx. where can i find this info?
Adopt? Adapt! ;)
I’m Amber, why did you take our tablet Tab 8 wifi, I paid you the customs fee, and then you didn’t reply to my message or do a review of Tab 8 wifi?
It wasn't Oluv apparently, whom did you send them to?
The harmon is just an average. No individual who tested actually valued the harmon target as their preference. In other words, everyone who tested prefered something entirely different than the Harmon target. All results were average as to why we get the harmon target. Therefore, in theory, No One should value the harmon target as their best preference.
To add, Different reviewers (and consumers) have totally different targets from each other.
Besides preference, Everyone hears differently.
It's a great fallacy to assume everyone should hear a specific target equally the same. To be specific, two different people can listen to 2 different targets and both will perceive them sounding the same as speakers. Or they listen to the same target and one will perceive it exactly as speakers and the other as different than speakers. That's because their hearing is completely different. That's why it's best to have eq options (and in addition, maybe a hearing test to fine tune the frequency response).
My specific target is to have the highest part of the bass region (sub bass) to have the exact same height as the highest point of the presence region.
If the presence region is higher than the highest point of the bass then the music will either sound
1. Shouty if I increase the volume enough to be satisfied with the low end.
Or
2. The bass will feel anemic if I reduce the volume to get rid of the shoutiness.
I don't know, i dig it, tried it with many headphones and all of them sound better to me after applying EQ based on Harman Target.
Compared to Sony flagship earbuds, are these even remotely close?
I am trying to justify paying the premium price for Sony's but these seem good enough
BRUUUUUH... almost every thing is better than sony's xm1000 trash
Only just come across you, I won't listen to anybody else when it comes to sound now......
the jbl's are not bad in comparison to the 1 more.. the 1 more is horrible.
hhhhh just saw that you've said the same sentence later hhhhh
If you are unwilling to review, please return our Tab 8 wifi to us
You sent it to some scammer.
I never got anything from you
that hair makes more handsome
You play original track directly from Laptop soundcard (from mp3 player), bypassing any microphones, and then compare it to headphones, which are recorded by microphones. Then you adjust that headphones sound, to be close to that original track, BUT what IF that microphone creates some distortions or cannot capture perfectly some frequencies? What then? Then the whole process doesn't make any sense. Because you are adjusting headphones against that microphone issues/ disadvantages, which not exist in human ears.
No, that’s total bogus.
you have to consider that he has a very precise hearing and can estimate the graphs with his hearing abilities. so that way you don't hear anything that's out of the graph, because everyone can hear it on youtube :) don't trust graphs more than your ears by the way.
@@oluvsgadgets Please explain. I think, that comparing and adjusting sound, should be done without anything in the middle between them, which can affect the result, by own issues / limitations.
The ideal way, could be the original track, also recorded by the same microphones (but played from pro / better headphones). Or original track, with applied EQ curve, which is equal to recording output changes, which mirophones always do.
As I understand - every microphone, capture each frequency different. It will always affect the recorded sound in some way, but you are comparing headphones, with their frequency misrepresentations, but mixed with microphones frequency misrepresentations, and compare it to the virgin / pure untouched original sound.
My english is not that good, to explain it better.
@@Radek__i did the same for IEMs what I did for overears before: Mission impossible: finding a neutral sounding headphone!
ua-cam.com/video/6jNGXKhdjI8/v-deo.html
And when measured the final result I came up with the graphs shown as my target. But you need to know how to measure to recreate the sound that your own ear is actually hearing. Unfortunately nobody cares about that and they measure however they like with targets that are simply way wrong.
@@oluvsgadgets ok, Danke für die Erklärung.
Hey, Olav, you have the best acoustics reviews among the whole popular UA-cam reviewers, but can you please stop talking when playing music on your speakers? It makes it difficult or impossible to compare the sound of speakers you review to the sound of your voice which I always do to know how "less" natural these speakers sound compared to an actual human voice recorded on the same microphone. Also please don't switch from stereo to mono microphone to record your speakers - it will turn every piece of music you play into mono and make it difficult to distinguish stereo2mono distortions from just bad sound quality. Thank you.
why would you need anc for a bloody iem? they already isolate sound by themselves coz they act like earplugs. how silly 😂.
Just try. They maybe block like 10db passively but hardly anything in the lower range.
Howdothey compare toairpro3in anc and sound quality?
