Just curious as I watched many of your videos and never seen you do this to a BMW? I mean that’s what this channel is about right? There is many BMWs that need rebuilding how comes you have never thought of rebuilding them?

I’m using no manual for this just pictures and videos of when I removed everything carefully during the tear down to remember where everything goes I can’t even find a 997 M97 Haynes manual for this only 996

Was just thinking that gap equals oil pressure. I already knew you had checked it out had to throw some kind of question for ya.

Not a problem geezer yeah they do bigger clearance bearings incase you have to have it re worked due to the bearings cutting through which then you need to use a plati gauge or of course if your building a race engine which everything is different for instance buying arp bearings then I would need that but I’m using factory bearings all over thankfully mine didn’t need all that headache

No as my friend told me you only plasti gauge if the crankshaft has been re worked from damage due to the bearings cutting in as mine are original and I can use original bearings throughout there is no need
