To anybody whom may think that they will never reach this level. It is possible, keep going. I am just starting to enter shredland for real and I thought I'd never be able to do it! Legato, legato, legato! Infront of a mirror. Let your hands go and don't think about the how. Stay with "the proper feeling of lightness" as much as possible. Things will connect. Focus on the seperate areas. It takes time! So much time. Be patient.
Joshua is one of those rare musicians who is so technically gifted and focused that he is seemingly able to express every nuance of his melodic thought process in real time. It's as effortless as speaking and as rich as a novel in what it can express. A true master!
So true but in particular in this case, knowing his backstory, it s also a matter of exercise. He played every day since he was a lil kid with his father and twice a day his father taught him if i recall. He really practiced an immeasurable amount of hours, basically all his life, to reach this level of mastery💪🏼 this dedication is amazing💯
Wow!! 1st time hearing your work, and absolutely loving it. No musician here, but perhaps my great love for Al diMeola has something to do with it. Also Larry Carlton, whose memorable solo on the Crusaders' "Spiral" led me here. Also loved Pat Metheny for decades and I certainly hear shades of all these greats in your work. Apologies for comparing you to them, as clearly, you are in your own right a great in the making. (..if not already there..)
This is so good! Random thought but it'd be really interesting to see you collaborate with prog artists like AAL, Plini and the likes. But any music you've been putting out is amazing
It’s like he plays without any friction
Fluid like water
Get this man his own signature guitar

Gifted? He worked hard for all of this.
I love the way you described it. It motivates me to be better in all aspects ...
@@whatilearnttoday5295 They're not mutually exclusive.
Criminally clean playing. Amazing.
Arrest this man!
Always melodic. Soooo tasteful and technically impeccable.
my fucking god... he might be the best guitar player that ever did play. don't think i've seen anyone better than him.
He's got that guthrie govan technique 👌
Beautiful! I love the ethereal feeling. You have to be crazy good to project that floating feel with that amount of technically hard stuff in there.
This solo is simply beautiful. I will learn it after I get another guitar.

Wow unreal!
So this is how overdrive sounds when you practice 50 thousand hours on clean!
Look out, Guthrie!
Mad respect for your playing as always

too clean!
Damn that's 🔥!
Ayyyyy...all of those other guitars are great but glad to see you finally made it around to a Tele! lol
Sei il più grande 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👏👏😃
Genial!
His picking technique looks so similar to Buckethead.
Hey Josh, I beg you please do the cover of Playing God by Polyphia. It would be epic for your style.
I didnt know such tone was possible with a telecaster, or is it highly modified? Pickups?
Hi, I wonder, please tell me, what is the model of the telecaster?
He plays like Alan Holdsworth meets Shawn lane
You should do something with John Petrucci, it would be...there is no good word for it 😁❤
and now up to speed
At some point he be like .somebody help help stop this finger . Plzz stopppp my finger plz helpppppp!!!😵💫😵💫

Josh has long enough fingers that he could share some with us stubby finger guys and still have plenty of stretch.
Wow……
When you see someone playing slow country on a tele, and you stop them for a moment say: "give me that sht!" 🤣
JEEPING SHIT
Incredible playing, but man, that tone sounds cheap on youtube
Oof
It’s like someone gave a 13 year old kid a guitar and told him that the only two guitarist worth emulating were Shawn Lane and Allan Holdsworth.
Super boring. Almost 0% music. Only a bunch of notes.
