I was last week given the opportunity to drive a Q8 e-tron 55, (not the SQ8) from Lyngby in Denmark(a suburb to Copenhagen) to Rungis in France(a suburb to Paris).
A minor part was with the ferry between Denmark and Germany. The e-trons navigation found a route which was 1250 km, including the ferry distance, so the actual driving distance was probably 1225 km.
It is hard to keep a steady pace due to stau, roadwork, speed limits, Kassel-mountains etc., but my driving speed was between 80km/h to 135km/h. The trip excluding the ferry, but including two times charging of 25-30 minutes, where I also had a meal, took me close to 13 hours, so my average speed, when driving was around 100km/h.
My total consumption was 292kWh for the trip. I started with a fully charged car in Lyngby and charged a bit more than 80% a little south of Hannover and again a little south of Köln, around 80%. I arrived in Paris with more than 10% battery power. The temperature in Denmark was 2 degrees and in Paris 13 degrees. I believe the average temperature on the trip was around 9-10 degrees.
With a total consumption of 292kWh when driving 1225km, the e-trons average consumption was 23,85kWh/100km which I personally would consider not too bad for 2,5 tonnes suv, which originally wasn't designed as an electrical vehicle.

I also will never get used to virtual mirrors. In heavy trucks they work fine, but there the screen is located in the A-Pillar and they don't get wet/foggy, like their glass pendants do. But in a car the only mirrors I do like are the ones of a T6.1, the rest is just to small and doesn't show enough, what is really going on behind/beside you.

My brand new e-tron is all blacked out and 11 days old. Love the car, already getting to hate the electronics interface. However. One thing on your rolling test Bjorn: e-tron will auto-regenerate if it comes up behind a vehicle. So on your rolling test, the truck will probably have caused it to gently deploy regen. That’s probably why you thought it was less efficient.

For example, e-Golf pre facelift has slight regen even in D0 ("zero regen") mode, it displays negative instant consumption numbers (-0.5...-1.0 kWh/100km) in the cluster.
I performed test drives with CAN logging and figured out, that ECU (01 unit) always requests couple of negative Nm with 0 throttle, and the numbers are the same in D and N.

When I used the virtual mirrors, I found doing a 'sweep' of the mirrors oddly sore on my eyes. Your eyes look up first for your central rear-view mirror, glance across your front window, then you check your side mirror, and then out through your side window +/- blind spot. When you have the virtual mirrors, you have to look down to see it, then back up to your side window. I found it weirdly tiring on my eyes, and didn't like the way I was looking down while driving. Was not a fan.

I am getting my iX in four weeks and after watching your great video I strongly feel that I have made the right decision despite some skepticism regarding its exterior which I needed to get used to in the very beginning. However, in the meantime I feel like that the iX is the most progressive looking BEV especially when it comes to the interior. I was having high expectations for the Q8 e-tron SB (and even considered buying one) but I am very disappointed tbh. Unlike many others I don't judge a BEV by its efficiency figures primarily as for me the design language (exterior and interior) is just as important at least. Having said this I feel like this Audi is nothing more than an unsuccessful attempt to catch up with its competitors - what a pity.
