My mum and I tried your recipe today! Thank you :) It turned out well but I noticed I can feel semolina grains (like they are uncooked) when I tried it. We soaked the semolina for 1.5 hour. Should we have soaked it longer?
1.5 hours is long enough to soak. Infact 20 min minimum is good enough too. Maybe the semolina quality and freshness. Fine rava is better. Or maybe for that semolina soaking liquid is not enough ..can be many reasons sister

Akka can have vanila cup cake receipe and butter cream frosting for any birthday cake. And can you explain what is different between butter icing and buttercream? Mostly for cake frosting and decorating using buttercream or butter icing? Can i have the receipe please.
Usually for cake toppings or decorating cakes we use butter cream. Butter cream is thick and can hold shapes and usually made with butter. Butter icing is thin and a bit runny watery like for doughnuts. Ive made butter cream video. Please check out my play list the video is there. If you cant find it let me know ill share here.
In your demo written shows 11/2 cups evaporated milk but written used is 1/2 cup. Cake consistency is important. Now which one do we follow. Regular bakers no problem to adjust but what about the beginners.

if i separate the batter into 2 portion and bake at 6 inches pan..how long do i need to keep it in the oven?

Hi sis. I use FnN. The balance milk can put in fridge. Ill use to make tea or sometimes bubur and finish it.
