Please also note the exterior switch is there only to make sure you turn off the water heater everytime you empty it for maintenance and as nothing to do with its normal operation. Like I said leave it there. If you want to control the water heater from inside install the kit switch and 12 volts relay. Please update your video as well.

Cool video. I like the switch hidden away keeps it away from the wife and kids so they don't accidentally turn it on while it's empty. And so I don't forget to turn it off before I drain it. Excited to see more videos.

Why not leave the switch where it was and wire directly on the 110 Volt side inside the panel?

Did you wire the original switch in series with the new switch ? That would allow you to “lock out” the water heater when it’s empty.
I would add a light to the new switch.
I’m doing a similar mod to my trailer but will use a 12V relay to do the switching right at the water heater. Actually Suburban do offer that control as an option on their tanks using a relay and a two switch panel to wall mount inside the RV. Amazon sells the relay and panel to upgrade the tank. Your manufacturer saved a couple of dollars buying a cheaper model. Using a relay also avoids mixing the 12V wiring with 110V wiring on that wall.
I would have used a proper electrical box and switch for the 110 V circuit per electrical code in case of a future insurance issue.

You didn't show where you spliced the wire and how you routed it through the water heater. The best way to do this is to leave the original switch and wire the switch inside the coach at the junction box at the water heater (at romex connection). This leaves water heater in stock configuration and makes it easier to replace if you ever need to.
