    It seems like he was a genuinely nice guy. Sounds like he was self-medicating like millions of other people.

    • @donmiller2908
      @donmiller2908 11 днів тому +4

      He wasn't "self-medicating". That's just a soft language euphemism for an alcoholic or other type of drug user. Alcohol isn't considered a medicine. To speak frankly and directly about something, without sugarcoating or avoiding the truth; to call something exactly what it is, without euphemisms or embellishments is merely being honest. There is nothing wrong with candor or honesty.

      @@donmiller2908 almost any "medicine" taken in excess is toxic / poisonous / deadly. For an alcoholic the correct dosage of alcohol is zero. Most people are not born knowing they are an alcoholic. As Puddles the singing clown would say "Life is Sad AND Beautiful." Being conscious in this bizarre universe is an AWE~some burden. Most humans use "coping techniques" - some healthier than others.

    • @donmiller2908

      Being conscious is a burden and some people, to cope with the burden of consciousness, use drugs and alcohol...is what you're saying. I believe it isn't a burden, that it allows for the experience of joy, love and beauty. . It allows people to make conscious choices and navigate their lives with purpose. it allows for meaningful relationships with others and a sense of connection to the world around us. It allows for people to make a spiritual connection with God. "Life is a burden" is just an excuse/crutch so that weak people can justify their cravings for and addictions to drugs and alcohol.

      @@donmiller2908 Some suggest acknowledging life is hard (and "unfair") is a healthy way to align with the awesome challenging task of a conscious life. "Burden" need not have dour connotations if it simply refers to a "heavy load."

    I really like Factinate videos. It is fun to learn about people I am not familiar with. However, the lack of pictures related to the age of the actor at points in the narration makes it hard for my sequential brain to really track along. Showing pictures of him in childhood when the narration is discussing Jack in his later years, bouncing back and forth in the narration of his life and career, showing the same pictures/clips over and over?? Maybe it's because I am not familiar with this person? Good information, just wished the pictures fit the narration/timeline. I thank you for the information you provided. It just might be best for me to listen, instead of watch! 🥴😵‍💫

I wish I could earn that much money in a small amount of time and just disappear. I'm in my 60s and would like to relax and enjoy life without the fear of money _or lack thereof!_ I'd love to have money to just go on a cruise, or travel or lavish on my children/family. They should tell these young people in showbusiness to save the cash they make (invest invest invest), because stardom doesn't always last.
