How to fix Mercedes Benz GL450 Auxiliary Battery Malfunction for $50

In this video I will show you how to retrofit pretty much any 12 volt battery in order to replace a malfunctioning Auxiliary Battery in a 2015 GL450. I used EverStart ES TZ10S which has identical width and length, it's just not as tall as the original Mercedes battery. You can choose any batter from the shelf in your store, just look for it to be approximately the same size as the TZ10S or it could be smaller so it will fit the metal housing for that battery.

It’s wrong to take the positive wire (red wire)first as shown in this video ! Always take the negative black wire first !

Just wondering if it would not be much easier if you took the time to remove the spare tire. Is that something we could do or is that a problem?

It is not recommended to install a battery either the main or auxiliary that is not the genuine Mercedes-Benz for my GL550 around $60

You can use a non genuine MBenz battery as long as it’s AGM and all specifications are the same and not the cheap Walmart ones 😂 .
