Sonic Flow sure is particular, I loved the slow-mo when attacking the robots, but in my opinion the paths that can be cross are a bit too undefined and empty, but I love the freedom they gave, they remind me of Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes
I don't get why Sonic Forces gets so much hate, except for the following: -Metal Sonic and Infinite's final boss are the same. -The mechanics for Classic Sonic are suicide. -no chaos boss fight. That's upsetting. Classic Sonic just claps his cheeks. -HOW LONG THE UNSKIPPABLE FREAKING CREDITS ARE
Levels are too short and stage designs are ripped off from lost world and generations plus the story is laughable yet again classic sonic was shoe horned into the story for no good reason and controlled worse than generations forces only saving grace is the avatar even then its still lacking alot of content let's not forget they once charged for super sonic as dlc.
Literally nothing outside of 2 modern Sonic stages are fun in this game. It has better quality than Sonic 06 but unlike 06,Sonic Forces fails to do the one thing any video game is supposed to do; NOT to be boring. 06 is fun,Forces is not. With 06 it's obvious it was rushed but damn you could see all the ambition the developers had. Forces was rushed and had no ambition. It fails in story,in writing,in gameplay,in level design,in graphics(how is Unleashed,a game from 11 years ago,STILL the best looking Sonic game?),in art style, content, difficulty and music. The game ain't fun or good.
It doesn't feel like an evolution, it feels like a set back from all that sonic has done, how does a game like mania, that recreates a game style from more than 20 years ago, outshine a game that has very graphics and is in 3d. ASK ANYONE WHICH ONES BETTER, Super Mario Bros, or odyssey/3d world/galaxy and the will say the 3d games, cause they are far more enyojable, I've played odyssey and galaxy and can safely say they are the true evolution of the original. While sonic doesn't accomplish this, I've played the classics and generations as well as having dabbled with the adventure formula, and forces feels like a step back. And you may ask yourself, why am I comparing Sonic to Mario, well, because Sonic has always aimed to be better than mario, and the fact that people who don't have as muchh experience with computer science (Christian Whiteheads team) have been able to outshine a multimillionaire company with an even older gameplay engine.
Antaun4123 /AJ it doesn’t work in 2D because 2D sonic is about momentum rather than “run foward.” this is also why the boost games’ 2D segments suck imo
Yeah. Generations was short but the stages actually had effort put into them. Although I do want a longer sonic game, if a short one is effectively well designed and enjoyable I'm ok with it
Damn, Stolen Valley looked cool, and it would have added an entirely new depth to the game to create a secnario where you have to go back to the stages because of some crazy outbreak. Sonic Forces had a lot of great ideas, the execution was just god awful. It could have been such a cool and fresh approach to sonic, but it just ended up being this short, unfinished, uninspired mess :v
The Stolen Valley is for a mod project called Sonic Forces: Overclocked. The mod is entirely remaking the game and making a sequel to Forces. Currently in progress.
This Engine only gives this illusion of a realistic Sonic. The level design is absolute garbage and Sonic can barely stay on the platforms. The level feels to big for Sonic as well, not to mention how slow Sonic can get without spamming the boost button.
My opinions of all 5: (Sonic Forces: Just normal Lost Valley) Sonic Infinity Engine: It’s ok. The boost sound annoys me because I can’t hear clearly the music, but just that Sonic Generations: It’s just normal Lost Valley, but with Generations physics and poses, which we didn’t had in Forces, still good Sonic Mania: Idk if the Modern Sonic came in the level or if it even has boost, but if it doesn’t, then Act 2 is actually a little challenging, still thinking that could be only one act, but I understand the why he made it like that Crumble Hill: Stolen Valley: Yeah, it has the same structure that Lost Valley has (of course, it’s a Lost Valley version), but its a completely different level, so this is probably in the top 3
Sonic Flow has potential, but it needs to have some defined borders you can't cross. Atm it's far too open, and the glide mechanic only makes it worse. Whole level becomes a cake walk because of it. So it needs either be removed or severely nerfed and only viable in specific cases. Also, the last one is really cool, and I kinda dig the voice actor? He sounds like an adult Sonic who's become more of a determined leader.
Alright, here are my thoughts: Forces: Looks the best, I'll give it that. Infinity: Stage design looks more open for exploration but good god it's ugly! Green Hill doesn't resemble Sand Hill enough! Generations: Still doesn't look as good as the og, but it looks better with Generations speed! Mania: Stage doesn't look good and is too linear for 2D. Maybe the point? Overclocked: Uh...does this even count? Also, Sonic sounds like Hiccup.

That 2nd game, the fan one. It looks neat. I really like the ideas they have. I love the skydiving/gliding feature. The animations and sound effects work really well. But I hate the noise filtering when you boost with a passion. It completely ruins the music. Also the extremely violent screen shake when you attack enemies is a little too extra. Also movement looks a little too easy at high speeds. It should be harder to move left or right once you hit a certain speed. Typical Sonic fangame. Really solid concept, some cool ideas, but generally not executed as well as it could be.

Forces: Ok, three level designers, two of them being newbies...yeah no, this was doomed from the very beginning. Flow: A step up from forces, however it's too big, and it doesn't give anyone a sense of direction. Generations: If a Forces stage can be beaten in Generations *FASTER* than in it's own game, then...yeah, Forces needs improvements. Mania: It isn't meant for momentum, as it requires you to just boost through a line. Overclocked: A step up from the main game, but it still has a long way to go.

V3 was basically Sonic Generations which I do love how people can easily remaster between Sonic Generations and Sonic Unleashed’s lightings which somehow it’s surprising
V4 was basically another illegal Sonic Mania mod but since Sonic Forces is a 3D game and Sonic Mania is one of those 2D Classic Sonic games I believe that the game isn’t hard at all so it’s kinda sad
V5 looked really cool and it looked like the destroyed version of it but if you go higher it makes the game harder and you need good vision to go through this I believe (Idk if people with an average vision can go through this) which that makes the level a lot harder
