The Prize is defo overproduced. Too much strings and cinematic "epic" stuff, too much reverb all over the place, for my taste and 44 years of listening experience, 35 years of "making music".
The key elements, her guitar and vocals, could arrive much clearer, less washed out, if there wasn't so much going on otherwise, with overwhelming other distracting stuff, IMHO
Less is more, Hannah. Please don't let the music industry change you, keep evolving your groovy bluesy rock and ballads style. The Prize does it feel like Rock'n'Roll 😢
Best album of 2024 so far. Production is spot on
This album is phenomenal. The production is excellent and Sam did a wonderful job. It is a production not a live album.
The soul and essence of Hannah does no come through as it should. It emphasizes other things. OVER-produced.
