I'd hope there was a decent amount more in it. My 2000 Z28 bone stock 2.73 auto car ran 13.60s at 103 in the FL heat in 2003. Lid, headers, TSP 3" duals, tune, 3.42s, SY3500 converter, LS6 intake, ported TB - 12.20's @ 111.5 in the same type of weather. It went 12.00s @ 113 in cooler air. 382ci short block, AFR 205s, 228/236 cam, 3.73s, FAST 90mm, suspension, drag wheel and tire set up - it went 10.70s at 125 best, 10.80s @ 124 in the heat and humidity. (Circa 2008)
Hope to see the car on a real tire in some cooler weather show what it can really do.
It definitely has some more in it. Will for sure go 11's. I actually only got one 1/4 mile pass in that day. First pass was an 1/8th and then the 1/4 pass in the video. Wanted to take it easy on this 4l60e lol. IAT's were hot that day with 90 degree temps outside, as well the tune is very conservative with low timing and a fat commanded AFR
@Chase.bachler was this on stock fuel system, and was this ls1 intake or ls6?
Did you know the HP numbers after the 382ci switch?
@@gregorylozado4627 my car made 479.7 RWHP and 443.4 RWTQ with the 382/AFR 205s/FAST 90/228-236 cam combo.
That was 2007-2008, I feel like with a bigger cam + heads, and a FAST 102 - it would make 500+ RWHP no problem. I am doing an LQ9/FAST LSXRT 102, PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L heads, and at least a similar 228/236 cam to see how close it will come to my old set up. 18 less ci, a little less compression... but better intake manifold. It should be close.
Nice setup and times bro! My 1998 Z28 M6 ran very similar times. I legitimately hit 12.992 @ 108 with ONLY an exhaust cutout and drag radials. I think I even did a 13.0 on street tires if memory serves me correct. I took it a little further with long tubes and 4:10 gears and slicks to 12.22 @ 113. All with an untouched motor that was never even tuned. And bone stock suspension.
Definitely would of been in the deep 11s with a ls6 or a fast intake, clutch and a strong rear end with suspension work and tuning.
I actually got the “itch” recently so I’m building a new motor for the z28 and plan to get back into racing this summer!
TSP should start a series on "customer rides" that have extensive TSP build part lists! Just wanted to say thanks to the whole crew at TSP. I'm in Austin and lived in their showroom lobby asking for advice, ordering parts, and discussing various options....while building my boosted 383 C5 last year. For my finished build thread....Google, " Ragin Racin built C5 Corvette TSP 383 stroker "
If nobody has said it. Proud of you buddy
Man thats an impressive gain on street tires!
That Camaro sounds nice!
I have an E90 with a pretty much stock gen 3 6.0 that has been a lot of fun and i have crossed that point where i want more power. I will probably start with a healthy cam and heads and ilwhen that's not enough boost. I unfortunately live in Alaska and can only drive it half the year but cant wait to make a couple of orders.🇺🇲
A converter will make a huge difference if auto
Texas Speed packages tend to exceed expectations
SPOT ON tune is epic
I need some help on my 99 z28! My car wont turn on with the key! I had a tuner delete the vats off of the computer .I have a new battery, starter has been tested and its good, and the relays are good. Could it be the BCM or neutral position switch? I just need some tips !
really wana know the rwhp gain ... great vedio
What gasket thickness did you go with? Stock or thinner? And what manifold?
My cam only LT1 ran at 12.1 @110
Seems a little off my 99 run 12.401. On boltons and yank 3600 with mail order tune. Full weight. I was expecting to see 11s with the heads and cam.
I was expecting an 11.50-11.80. We need an update lol
111 mph ?!
That's about 5 mph below where a H/C auto Fbody should be even in that crazy heat
What about before ans after dyno ?
Yall left the trans in car?
Heads do you ship to California
Everybody knows not to look at the cam bearings 😂
What did you guys use on the knock sensors to seal them up? Gasket maker.
Just some athena RTV silicone
R.i.p 10 bolt rear, lol!
Assuming adequate traction. Bolt ons only should be mid to low 12s without trying. Heads and cam should be low 11s if not 10s. That’s full weight…. If the car is light they should be way faster then that…
Why not use corvette O2 instead of extensiom
Price is right rules closest without going over haha who wins?
Aren’t you suppose to degree the cam?
