Just a small correction, pariahs are not pyskers, theyre the opposite of them in fact, theyre their anatema. A pariah does not have a soul in the immaterium so creatures of the warp cant even acknowledges they exist, also theyre unable to channel any power of the warp as a pysker can. A psyker doesnt have any power on his own, all his "magic" is channeled from the warp, so a pariah cant execute any of the psykers tricks. Theyre indeed VERY valuable to the imperium because their mere presence can make psykers insane and they can even banish daemons instantly. More than only banishing a daemon, like when you kill them their essence goes back to the immaterium so they are just banished from the material world, but a pariah can actually kill a daemon for good, like deleting him from the existence from both the material and imaterial worlds. Theyre insanely valuable for that reason and are often seen in the retinues of very powerfull inquisitors.
But getting a pariah is very hard as theyre super rare, much more than even psykers and they tends to die early as one of the effects of the pariah gene is that theyre usually hated even by non psykers and common people.
Then there are the Culexus assassin temple who uses old tech to channel and amplify their power,
this means even the tau who have almost no signature in the warp will also fell physical pain when they are near.
Are a pariah and a blank the same thing?
@@DasFlawless a pariah is a blank that can use their blank trait to actively harm people(but mostly psykers).
Correct me if I'm wrong but there is a difference between Pariahs and Blanks. Pariahs have the faintest flicker of a soul and thus have weaker powers but a full Blank has no soul what so ever and can kill Psychers just by standing near them.
The algorithm looks for copywright at certain points. If you just mirror the "content" at those points then the algorithm won't catch it. I only tell you bcz i wanna see content from your point of view without problems.

Pariahs or psychic blanks exude and anti-warp field around them of varying power and range. Psykers within a certain distance of the blank cannot access the warp or use their powers effectively. The Sisters of Silence are all blanks and are the highest order of blanks in the emperor's service. Most inquisitorial retinues at least contain a couple of blanks. Inquisitor Eisenhorn had a school called the Distaff where blanks he found were trained for use by himself and his allies. It was run by his adjutant Elizebeth Beckquin in the Eisenhorn novels. This psychic blankness makes them almost intolerable to be around by both normal humans who seem them as very unpleasant and psykers who can be driven insane by their mere presence.

Voidsmen are specifically the Engineer types, the ones with guns iirc were called Armsmen but they are now called voidsmen at arms, they are on all navy ships as basic ratings, cool to see the navy get some love, it’s rare. I wish we saw more imperial navy stuff, a series showing different pirates and raiders would be cool, Xenos or otherwise

Sisters of Silence being good at slaying demons actually makes no sense. It feels like a retcon, because originally, I they were only good at resisting psykers and warp influence. If a demon manifests in the material world, then they are IN the material world. Khorne hungers for blood, not souls. What's to stop a demon from slaying a sister?
Think of it as air. You need air to live. If you're going to a vacuum or under water, you'll need to have a way to get that air inside you. Demons function the same way. Let's use Khorne as an example. You kill and bloodlet and eventually the warp spills over and demons come out. They kill and slaughter and it gives them that pocket that allows them to exist. Keep killing and the warp flows and gives them substance. Silent sisters don't just poke a hole in that air supply they start to steal the very air from your lungs because they're voids. I'd imagine fighting a sister would be like moving INTO to a furnace to put it out to a demon.
They are good at suppressing the warp overall, by proxy including daemons, GK are still better, with the SOS mainly being for psykers

Thats how Orc bullshit works, red'uns goes fastar and all of that. And they indeed do because the Orc knows that for a fact just like we know if we jumb a building we will smash into the ground. The same goes for the dwarves in warhammer fantasy, theyre imune to magic because they belive they are.
The immaterium exists and works the way it does because sentient species belive it does so and so it does. A deamon is just as powerfull as people belive they are. Of course thats all to a certain level. There is no amount of belief that will prevent a daemon prince of Khorne to rip your legs off if you just sit there and take it, but it will certainly reduce his power.

Paraya are not psykers, they have no controll on thier powers nor does that power has any querqyness to it asside then shuting down warp related powers

They are just imperial nobles that got basically “privateer contracts” from IRL where they’d sign with real armies and raid / explore, it’s called a warrant of trade and they can *essentially* do anything up to heresy and such, very cool folks, generally very old families that are all swashbuckling navy folks
@@LewisB3217 I hear you. It does sound analogous to a warhammer fantasy counterpart. Im not big into 40k but I do love me some Total War: Warhammer where there's more war and more hammers than you can shake a stick at. A stick with a heavy end, used for war.
