Quil setting the mid and endgame crisis to earlier doesn't actually mean they will start earlier it just means the game will begin rolling for the crisis earlier. I also recommend you play with 4 fallen empires so that you're guaranteed to get two opposing fallen empires so that the war in heaven can trigger. Also 3 mercenary empires so that the great kahn has a better chance of triggering aswell.

Honestly, I think there's no real dysergy between tomb world preference and making your own gaian worlds. The two are pretty solidly compatible - any worlds of the right type for your species, you turn into gaian worlds. Aside from that, you've got tomb worlds...which for you, act very similar to gaian worlds, because of how your species works. Very good at making use of assorted world types. Even stronger if you're capable of bombarding hostile planets into tombworlds, to get more use out of non-ideal world types.
Correct. The word comes from the ancient Greek τροφικός meaning nourishment. Perhaps a more familiar related word is "atrophy", which is also pronounced with an f sound.
These two words are probably so specialized that while those in the fields that commonly use them pronounce it as "f" for everybody else they'd just (mentally) use a spelling pronunciation if seeing either word.
Lettuce see how this empire fares. It is time for us to plant the seeds of empire. But there is no need to go out on a limb for this run. With this empire heads will roll, its time for us to make like a tree and leaf. :V
