Im looking on auto trader at the moment at the 2007 Glx 1.5 (97'000 miles) costing £1,395 and im seeing insurance quotes of £208 and £850 seems like a great first car for someone aged 17
For a first car (used at 40,000 mileage valued at £1300) would you recommend purchasing this car to gain experience on the road, yes you have stated very little faults on the vehicle itself throughout the video but just a personal opinion on the question asked. Great video as always!
I have a 1.5 vvti, they are group 20 insurance but do a comparison insurance check as it was only 40 pounds more than my focus 1.6, I would never have got it if I hadn't checked first, seeing group 20 would of put me off.
The steering will lock it wont start the key has to be near the car my battery on key fob is low so when i get in it wont start so i have to get it out my pockets and put it on the dash or so and it starts
are they noisy at higher speeds? I'm looking to buy one and i know that they are reliable but I've heard the boot is small and their noisy at motorways.Asking particularly for the 1.5 version in the video.
i wouldnt say that they are too bad, if you watch the video it will actually seem noisier than it really is, this is because my sound recording equipment amplifies the actual noise and makes it seem louder, but best thing to do is test drive one yourself and make sure that you are happy
@@BarrieCramptonSorry to bother you, but How do you compare it with for example 1.2 /1.4 VW Polo 2005 , Ford Fiesta 2007 1.4. 80PS 1.2 OPEL CORSA 2007 (80PS) ... If you can say :) :) Thanks for answer
@@tomaszahradka8580 I think its as good if not better, and it is certainly a lot rarer, my choice would be the Polo if i was buying myself or advising a family member, but all good cars if you find one that's been well serviced and looked after
@@BarrieCrampton I like both Corsa and Suzuki and can't decide :) I think engine is better in Suzuki ... And as a poor young car-guy, I slightly prefer Suzuki so far :)
This video is the best so far i don't know why ppl didn't notice such a great video!
Thank you

Brilliant review! Just bought one of these, a 1.5GLX 2 door. This review definitely helped convince me to do it ;)
Thanks, glad I could help, its a good car so you should be pleased with it
Got 9 points on my license,
Need to downsize to under 1.6 engines for low insurance, this car seems perfect!
great little cars

yes its a great little vehicle for a first car, thanks for watching
Yeah it was nice having a ride along with James Bond
Thanks, Im flattered, but hes dead now 😂
Fantastic video, considering purchasing a 1.3 2008 Swift for £1000, would you personally recommend it?
yes they are very good cars and economical too
I have the jdm version since 2010. The car is very economical for gas mileage and maintenance.
Am confused as to whether together this or a honda civic. People say their both reliable cars. Please help
i think the Honda is the better car
Is that a goad car for long drive? How is it in motorway after few hours of drive?
not really a car for long motorway drives, more for short journeys and running around town
You can drive longer motorways, but given you drive max 120kmh
Is the steering light? Do you recommend the Auto ? since i live in a busy city
Ali Salahat the steering is light enough, and i would always recommend autos these days as i am very lazy 😎
Barrie Crampton oh thank you very much ahah

Is this a great ideal first car for a 17 year old?
yes it is, its a great little car for anyone
@@BarrieCrampton Thank you 😁🙏
Tristan Rea you are welcome
17 year old with a 1.5 litre engine insurance is going to be a lot. Probably close to 2k if not more with a blackbox
I know it’s an old comment but just saying incase anyone reading
Yeah but if you forgot to lock the car it's easy to pinch because you don't need a key to start it.

Just out of curiosity, is this a diesel or petrol?
Its a petrol, im sorry i didn’t make that clear in the video www.ggcars.co.uk/detail/279828/used-suzuki-swift-1-5-glx-vvts-5dr-preston

@@BarrieCrampton Ok thanks for the reply.
Group 20 insurance :O
10:20 fucking hell on.
I found that the clutch on some of these can be very high...
On the 1.3 i find it high but the 1.5 is perfect and i also find the 1.3 clutch lighter but i prefer the 1.5 clutch
It's not fastest car in the world means ... it feels lazy?
a little bit yes
