Hi, I'm from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, I have Swift ZC11S XG LIMITED automatic model, this model equiped with very good safety features like ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and Dual Air Bags for driver and front passenger. I'm having this car since 2009 for 14 years and still running as new, this is so much fun to drive, economical car with good performance 👏
I've always liked these my friends had one back in college about 15 years ago. Even remember seeing good reviews about the handling on these on fifth gear
I have a 2009 1.5 GLX ...... it does feel utterly gutless... IF.... you change up gears when you would in a Fiesta or Corsa. If you let the revs get up to 4-5k, it absolutely flies. The VVT changes the timing at 4200rpm and this is where the power is. You're also the only person on the planet to criticize the gear change in this car.... it's light, accurate and solid. I honestly don't know what you'd expect to be better from a gear change. Some of the comments you make in this review honestly make me think you really don't "know" these cars too well. Your comments about the fuel flap - I think every Japanese car has a release lever / button like this. The handbrake.... what? It's a regular length!! And again, if you think the 1.5 VVT is slow, you're just not driving it correctly (incidently the MX-5s are like this too... utterly gutless until you get the revs up).
He definitely lack of knowledge of japanese cars, started with the fuel tank lever, and how to rev a japanese engine :) But as he said, we live and learn :)
Amazing video my man, been watching your channel for a while now. Got my driving test next Wednesday so hoping to pass first time then will be buying a 2008 suzuki swift 1.3L
I have a 1.3Diesel and yes its slow acceleration but it can certainly take a corner although the suspension is quite soft. Cheap Insurance; road tax and super economical
Why did Suzuki only put brake disks on the front and drum brakes on the rear? cost cuts? my 1994-1997 commodore has 4 wheel disk brakes that are far superrior to drums
The 1.3 is not a bad engine for a small car considering it has 91 bhp which is better than 1.2 engines in the dull 1st gen Hyundai I10 which has 74 bhp and many 1.3 engines of this time has less power
Fuel filler cap opener.. I guess you haven't seen many cars at all then? Very common in lots of cars, sometimes accompanied by a second lever that opens the boot (mainly on smaller cars) "I'm more used to traditional electronic handbrakes".. What? You must be around 5 years old I guess? Weird...
Got one for a grand ,today...overall its pretty basic that's what I like about it,...easy under the bonnet...nothing difficult, reliability good I suspect like all Japanese cars...gg..
@@ArmaganDemiral I was just asking as I have a 2006 suzuki swift as my first car now and a family member drove it and thought it was heavy and the mechanic said the same but said it could be just this particular car as the power steering does activate when the car is turned on
Yes, definitely. It's light at slow speeds, but heavier at higher speeds. It's different at first but once you're used to it, it actually works well as over-assistance at high speeds is unsettling.
Lousey for road trips. A ford focus wagon has lots of cargo space but not as good as mpg. I wish suzuki would wise up. I guess that's why this guy didn't even show the seat folded down. Or trunk space, what's the point.
@2:15 Yeah, but a potential doesn't make a good pimp mobil if there aren't many after market performance parts available. On the flipside it diminishes the chance that this car is ruined by questionable taste of some whippersnappers.
'Traditional electronic handbrakes'? That PROPER handbrake you have there is traditional, not the silly fashion for fashion sakes button. Good grief, bye bye
@@ArmaganDemiral The brand and license are Japanese, but are made entirely in Hungary. Most of the parts are also made in Hungary and the finished car is assembled by Hungarians. It can be stated that the Suzuki Swift is a Hungarian car. I am Hungarian and I have the same type and vintage.

4 CYLINDER? OR 3 CYLINDER ?
@@SHAHMRUGESH 4 cylinder
The little lever to open the fuel flap is on pretty much every Japanese car ever made.
Maybe I’m missing something ahah
So much better than having to use the key (like Peugeouts)
I'm not sure about that had 2 japanese cars.
Hyundai also has this lever on the Excel back in 1998

I have a 1.3 petrol ay 91bhp, not really 'quick' but in 2nd gear it sounds pretty decent

Is there any schronic problems in these cars

Nice review mate. Love these cars, Japanese petrol engine nothing that loves revs more 🤣🤣

Ye it’ll be for cost costing purposes
@@ArmaganDemiral just stupid, suzuki wtf?
cause a commodore weighs like 400 kg more. drums are more than enough for a 1 ton commuter car. the sport does have discs on the rear tho
Looking to actually get one of these as my first car, I see them up for sale around the £2k mark.
Yeah, same man. I hope I find a decent trustworthy one at that price point.
I bought one 2 months ago for exactly 2k, only done 54k miles and one previous owner

Considering the 07 swift glx but just wondering if there’s aux cus ik there’s no Bluetooth but is there a way to play my music without a cd 😭
Does suzuki swift come in automatic
That long handbrake you mentioned does rear wheel steering mate
Just try it
For the handbrake turns 😎
I love these hanbrake's as it is simple and doesn't break like the electronic one
"traditional electronic handbrake"??
lol that lever is the traditional one though... also, the fuel cap lever is also not unusual.
I put a steering wheel cover on mine because the wheel felt way too thin

can you make a review for the sport model too? you can test mine, all you have to do is travel all the way to eastern europe.
I will do dude - when I can save up the money I will come down!
full power full car
Is it me or this video mostly complaint about the Swift instead of telling why it is a fun hatchback (title) lol
I think my conclusion sums it up, did you watch the whole video lol
Does it have Bluetooth
No
