- Walter Bishop a man who destroyed and saved humanity, for a love he couldn't give up on and move on from. in five seasons, you have changed my life forever; i don't know how can i live without u.
Ps. I love you father - Розваги
I don't comprehend how John Noble NEVER got an Emmy for his entire body of work on Fringe. He played one of the most multi-faceted characters I've ever seen in Walter Bishop, with an emotional depth and range that rivals the very best of Hollywood.
This lives rent free in my head 24/7
One of the all time biggest travesties in television history, his performance across all 5 seasons as Walter was phenomenal in everyway 👏
The world 10 years ago wasn’t ready for fringe
Yes, as soon as we have time travel, we have to make sure, he got his awards :O
Also he played himself as a dictator in the alternate reality. Acted his butt off.
2022 and I still think this show is criminally underrated
2023 and it still is!
I started binge watching this series again after watching Anna Torvs performance in The Last of Us. Also completely forgot that there was an episode on a Cordyceps outbreak in Fringe. I want to believe Anna Torvs previous experience with Cordyceps got her the part 😂 and her amazing talent of course! 🙌🏽
I agree I was saying that with my best mate the other day. This show never received the recognition it deserved
Totally agree TEEZMAN
I watch it once a year. My favorise show forever
The MOST underrated show in history💕
Carolina Hashimoto indeed
I agree now I start to rewatching it
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Totally
Yessss
Just finished the series, and this scene broke me. I'm so amazed at the crew that was chosen to act in this show, and how wonderfully crafted the story has been over five seasons. What a fantastic show.
who here is still crying at this in 2018
Almost 2k19

2023 and I still think the same. This show is one of the best.
100% same here.....
"I know in my soul this is what I'm supposed to do. I want you to give Olivia your daughter back. I want to give you your life back. As a father how could I not do that for you. What I said in the tape about stealing time with you I meant it. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You are my favourite thing Peter. My very favourite thing".
Yup, here I am, almost 7 years later, still crying like the first time. John Noble is such a wonderful actor and I never loved a character as much as I love Walter. His story, combined with John's acting is so emotional.
10 years later and I'm binging it on Freevee. Just watched this scene.
I'm convinced this moment needed no fake tears from either actor. You can watch them both barely hang on to their emotions until the embrace. Both men put their souls into these characters, and every fan is better off for it.
*Holds up white tulip* ;)
Oh jeez that favorite thing line gets me every time
Kyle Durand The lines: "I want to give you your life back". And "I wouldn't trade it for the world" get me.
This one scene perfectly sums up the entire show. It is not just the best scene from season 5, I put forth the motion that it is one of the best scenes ever in the history of television. The emotion, story, feelings and background in those few minutes are amazingly rich and deep and you don't just hear Walter's words and see Peter's face you feel them. Very rare are the times a medium can have that impact.
👏👏👏
It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL scene that brings me to sobbing tears every time I watch it.
Anthony Zoppo I just finished season 5 today😢
I'll hold up my white tulip to that 👏
@@ianwalters11 I'm binge-watching and I'm almost done with it after 10 years and I just finished this scene.
4:10 onwards absolutely kills me. "You are my favourite thing, Peter. My very favourite thing" 😭😭
My wife and I just finished re-watching Fringe for the 6th time...And we still cry when this powerful scene between a father and son comes up...John Noble is an incredible actor and this series has to be the best Sci-Fi series ever created to date...Thank you J.J. Abrams for a masterpiece which is Fringe!
Watched many episodes but have not been able to understand everything cohesively
A father's love for his son, his very favorite thing, for which he will sacrifice everything. Beautifully acted by John Noble and Joshua Jackson. A tearjerker. Did they have real tears, knowing that they would no longer be acting together in such a stellar tv series. I prefer to believe "yes".
When you lose your father, as I have years ago, I think this scene is even more poignant. The bond that was forged is finally lost.
still here in 2019 and I'll be still here in 2050.
That piece of acting from John Noble..fantastic!
This was an excellent show and the end was a very hard good bye. Even in Walter's last words "you are my favorite thing" shows the simplicity of him yet wrapped in utter genius.
My sweetheart and I are watching Fringe for the third time. Years after we first saw it, it still holds all the mysteries, thrills, and emotional highs and lows. I can’t believe so many people never heard of this great show.
All in good time, they will.
"the time we had together we stole, i cheated fate to be with you, and we shouldntve had that time together but we did, and i wouldnt change that for the world" is such an emotionally shattering line. Because he literally chose Peter over the world.
Screw you for making me cry, Fringe......😭.....John Noble is simply AMAZING......It's rare for a sci fi show, actually for any show, to have the emotional depth in the writing and acting that FRINGE did, and posess actors with the chops to pull it off. So good.
My father died 3 days ago... This hits because he was told he would never see me grow due to a medical condition. He lingered for 22 years
My condolences on your father's passing. I'm certain he's proud of you. No doubt.
This scene clears shows the lengths a father would go for his son's happiness . Absolutely brilliant
@@kelechijasononyekawa1933 thank you for your kind words. He was and still is my heroe. Although he might not be here in the flesh he is in my soul.
What a great gift this Fringe episode is.
The letter is the white tulip, and Peter watches this cassette after the final scene of the show to learn where Walter has gone in the corrected timeline. 😭
January 11th, 2024 , and I keep coming back to this scene... I lost track on how many times I completed Fringe, this scene is pure magic... John Noble should've been much more recognized by this performance
Still makes me cry. Such a good show.
Just finished watching fringe. I adored walter. This scene broke my heart. Amazing show.
This show had no right to become this good and deep. It was meant to be a sci fi cop show! But by the end and thanks to amazing writing and acting , the series ending is so gut wrenching. I know how good this show is by how much it hurts that it had to end.
"my very favorite thing" indeed...sobbing right now!
2021, still crying... Best show ever !
Still crying here in 2024❤
GOD I love this show thank you Lance RIP GODSPEED
I am watching it now on Freevee. And I just watched this scene. And I bawled my eyes out. WHY did I have to watch this scene all over again after 10 years? FRINGE was a great show. They should make a Spin-Off with their daughter, Etta.
one of the best shows - hands down!!!
This is a testament to all loving father-son-realationships..John Noble is just fantastic in this scene (that said, he is brilliant all around)
1 1/2 minutes in & I'm already squalling like a baby.
What a scene. Acted so beautifully, the tragedy of having to say goodbye forever, good grief. I sobbed and all these years later I still do. John Noble is on another level and pulls the other actors with him. I need a tissue….
The world was not ready for this show. They didn't deserve it. Not sure even today.
Miss them so much. Best show ever. I watch it every year😅
Walter, you are great father.. You made me cry..
The best moment from one of my favorite TV shows ever. I watched it when it was on TV and just got finished rewatching it on Netflix.
Jesus man. I have watched the entire series at least 7 or 8 times, and no matter my state of mind before this scene, this never fails to always gets me. Such a phenomenal show that never got the credit it deserved.
i lost my dad last year in June, if i could only hug him just one more time.... i mis you Pops 😥😢
Still here crying in 2024
Yup. It still rips my heart out
1:54 "I don't want to say goodbye. But I will say... I love you son." aND HERE COME THE WATERWORKS
This is a blast from the past now... but still one of the most emotional/tear-jerking/heartbreaking scenes on TV... I cannot handle that tears running down Joshua Jackson's cheek!!
I don’t think Peter fully understood his father or what he did until he became a father to Etta. Walter did what all loving parents would do if they could and he never got the appreciation for it he should have. Not till that moment. He is his father stolen time or not.
Fringe is very underrated series.. It is one of the best shows i have the pleasure to see ❤️♥️
Walter Bishop is one of the greatest characters of any TV show so far. Just amazing how John Noble does what he does. Season 5 in incredible from the beginning (I don`t want to spoil anything but remember "Only you" )
Every time I watch this, I tear up. Such a well-acted and emotional scene. This is why I love Walter Bishop.
I love this! It's so sad... It broke my heart into pieces x( the sacrifice that walter did for peter is indescribable...
2024 and I wish this show was still around
😭😭😭😭😭 so traurig.Es trifft mich jedes mal mitten ins Herz. Danke an Noble und Jackson für dieses emotionale Meisterwerk.
Dammit if this isn't good acting then idk what is i literally teared up a bit
Touching,still 2022,Best show ever.
I sometimes Come here and cry again because I haven't Like that father.
*BRING BACK THIS SERIES*
Yessss!😭😭😭
This gets me everytime :(
What amazing casting they did on Fringe. And John Noble is just so fucking good.what a scene.....thanks for uploading....now I'm gonna wipe my face
i just love Walter he made me cry
Even After so many years i'm still crying like a baby..
one of my favorite scene....
My very favorite thing aaand tears! Emotionally wiped.
What a superb actor.
I'm on my second rewatch this year. I love this show so much and John Noble should have won Emmy for each season, his performance was absolutely flawless.
Bruh, I swear to God I blinked and I was watching the mighty ducks for the first time
The best acting I’ve ever seen!
This scene is truly amazing, I have rewatched this show so much. Truly emotional scene.
😭 so emotional. I cry everytime.
2024, rewatched this show several times and it's my favorite show ever.
This scene makes me cry every time. Walter Bishop has to be the best fictional character ever created, and John Noble is an amazing actor!
"You're my favorite thing, Peter, my favorite thing" 😭😭
2023 i think this is the best show ever specially because of Walter he is perfect as actor
Some ninja cutting onions over here...
I'm not a guy who cries for TV shows, but this scene hit me a lot and made me cry a lot.
I’m not crying! Something got stuck in my eye.
I finished this gorgeous show some time ago, I think about this scene sometimes, like now that I re-watched this video, I cried. I cry whenever I watch it…
We all need a Walter in our lives.John Noble pure genius
I hate fringe for this most heartbreaking scene ever. Never failed to get emotionally touched by this.
Every time I see this scene, I cry. And I don’t cry that easily
I am only on season 2 and I just HAD to watch this scene and I am in BUCKETS!!!! omg :( I dont really know whats going on!!
Just finished watching the entire series on Netflix, having never watched it while it was on the air.
Goddamn, this part gets me all choked up. Just marvellous.
Just finished watching the series. It is amazing. I do not know why i did not watch it before. Really really enjoyed it.
I can’t watch this without cry.
This always gets me
Still crying, everytime i see this....
thanks dude!
Hard to believe its been 10 Years
'Fringe' was a fantastic series, being my favorite series. I make a point of reviewing the 5 seasons always. The series brilliantly blends classic Science Fiction themes (Time Travel, Parallel Universes...) with the personal dramas of the characters, scientific theories (Relativity, Quantum Physics), Greek Mythology. Unmissable and Unforgettable.
This was heartbreaking just watched this yesterday 😢😢💔💔💔
excellent scene
holy crap this made me cry
I love you dad.
Most emotional and very beautiful. But I submit to you that the best scene between Walter and Peter in season five, is when Michael unlocks the original timeline inside Walter’s mind. You see Walter let go of all emotional inhibitions towards Peter. And you see Peter’s yearning for “his Walter” finally satiated since season four.
This scene is predictable. But Michael restoring the relationship between these two prior to this scene is not predictable, yet adds more power to this scene. And much more history towards the difficult challenge of letting each other go.
Perhaps they go best together and should be considered as a tie. But I like the joy and relief in the “reunion” scene more than the accepted despair in the “goodbye” scene. That is my opinion.
I cry every time I see this
I miss this show😢😢
JFC!!!!! My feelings are all over the place after watching this video.
I cried😢
I'm not crying, you're crying. I lied. I'm crying..a lot.
Im just going to watch s5 e12 but I'm not ready for this 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Actually, this videotape from Walter probably is the real end of the series. When you finished last episode, you have a chance to imagane what happend after the letter. Peter is looking for Walter, comes to laboratory, finds a videotape. Walter "gives" him all answers.
Agh, no no no!!!! Don't let them be separated forever, this is the first time I've seen them hug from what I've seen so far, that would be totally lame! No!!!!
Man, I haven't even WATCHED the show and this is breaking me.
I’m not crying you’re crying
