Jiyuna's on point with that pick for Tekken. Moonlit Wilderness is iconic.
Tekken has this weird thing, where the odd number ones BANG and the even numbered ones are just... "WHAT?"
[laughs in stupid yodelly sheep stage]
@@TonyTheTGR that is such a wrong thing to say about tekken 2 and 4
Anyone know the name of the Tekken osts played in the video? Apart from moonlit wilderness...
To me, Moonlit Wilderness is a newbie song, like the May themes in Guilty Gear (May is worse). I think even number Tekkens, Tekken 1 and Tag 1 have the best music. 5 has a lot of boring songs. 3 is garbage in my opinion. Not sure about 7, but nothing sounded great when watching tournaments.
@@sigurdtheblue "3 and 5 have boring and trash songs"
Imagine having this much of a trash taste. Like do your ears not work or something?
Both Blazblue and Guilty Gear are actually song albums with a fighting game as a bonus.
Yes 100%
I think BlazBlue music is a tier above Guilty Gear, although the second versions of songs up to Continuum Shift were generally a big downgrade.
I kind of want that 10hr Jiyuna game music rant
I'd pay money for it.
Same
Almost every BlazBlue song is worth talking about.
Panda has a strong ass crew. All hilarious and entertaining
As a MK fan it saddens me the most great music it has is the theme song and other melodies in game. Personally KI has the best music, they're always boping even when use ultra combos.
KI had probably the most amazing music in fighting games imo. the detail and quality is insane
“Spirit of Fire” (Bullet’s Theme) from BlazBlue is insanely good
People sleep on it ngl. Tbh this can be said for literally every track from BB so ye
it's one of the worst character themes and it still goes hard, that's how good the OST is
Duke and Ellis' theme from Battle Arena Toshinden. Such hidden gems.
They didn't talked about UNICLR but we all know that's another S tier right there.
Undernight ost is one of the most original soundtracks out there
Your God Damn right!
Soul calibur music is slept on great for studying or sleeping.
Dang I gotta add some of these games soundtracks to my library! Never played them but loving what I'm hearing!
May NRS see this and up their music game, every game deserves a slapping sound track
The King of Fighters all day man, It started my craze with fighting game music. I got Kof13 because the soundtrack in that game was just a masterpiece. Now Kof15 with the jukebox mode, I just popped off when they announced that
Ash and Iori's theme. Need more be said?
@@leithaziz2716 nuff said brother🤣
As Far as the Tekken series is concerned, Tekken 5 and Dark Resurrection have some banger music!! And for Street Fighter, every character themes in SSF4 are all good but the themes that struck me are Rufus, Juri, M. Bison(Dictator), Vega(Claw) and Cody!
“I’m here nowwwwwwww”
“Doing the Best I cannnnn”

Jiyuna explaining the plot of blaz makes it actually sound ridiculous
"What game didn't we do yet that has good music?"
*Inhales deeply*
King of fighters 96 its the perfect video game soundtrack. It's has everything from jazz to rock to orchestra. Fairy it's my best
Strange Sunset is still Guile’s best theme IMO
FACTS
100% and a contender for best in the EX series
Ki hinnamatoon back to rise and the menu theme are all just gifts from heaven.
Can you release the name of the music used in the video?
Especially Tekken bangers.
This tier list is 100% accurate
There are songs from other franchises that I prefer to listen/relisten to over SF games, but their music over the decades, has transcended fighting games. Non-gamers and non-fighting gamers all know some of the iconic music from SF2, but that can't necessarily be said about the other fighting games we viewers know and love. Truly S+ tier.
That is only because Street Fighter has effortlessly been the most popular fighting game. It is like saying Super Mario Bros has the best music ever.
how did nobody talk about tekken 3 intro that by itself did it for me
Y’all covered some great ones but I’m sad y’all didn’t give DBFZ a lil segment bc there is some GODLIKE music in there, Future Trunks, Goku Black and Last Battle: Enemy Warriors are some of my favorites!
hit too, no?
Okay so I'm not sure if it's Fatal Fury or KoF but there's this Geese theme song, that slaps. I'll say Anger Of The Earth from Tekken 6(/7?) I recall the song name not the stage or which game I think it was 6 though. And actually I will say that the O.G Killer Instinct like intro/menu theme is still pretty dope too.
Its messed up I played mk11 enough and couldn't think of a note worthy song, Only thing I could think of is that 21 savage song from the announcement trailer lol.
Mk had some bangers tripping 🤣🤣🤣
In general it sucks
Whenever people debate weither music is "art", introduce them to fighting game music. Guilty Gear's music is some of my favorite music ever. Not only a banger, but can even be inspirational or emotional depending on the song. Heavy Day and Big Blast Sonic, enough said.
Who tf is saying music isn't art
All tekken games have bangers.
Street fighter ex2 plus has no bad soundtract. Even Credits theme is my favourite
Imo Guiles theme from ex 2 is the best song ive heard in a capcom game (technically akira but idk if they did the music to)
as someone who literally listens to video game music on a daily basis, i can confidently say Dead or Alive has THE best music
Top 5 non main fighting game music: (no order)
Aquapazza
Bloody Roar primal Fury
Granblue
Skullgirls
FighterZ (tho this is a main fighter)
Skrillex made reptiles theme song in MK 9. Fashoo a banger
0:58 Saintcola with the immaculate taste 🔥
Capcom vs SNK 2 is my fav and to me it's head and shoulders over the rest
When i seen that thumbnail I immediately thought no Soulcalibur?
Tekken Series by far has my favorite OST's in Fighting Games... With Street Fighter EX & Soul Calibur coming in after.
SNK music is God tier
So glad that me and Jiyuna consider Black & White the best track in the Blazblue OST. This banger deserves to be much more iconic in the FGC than it currently is
In my opinion, naming a best track is bad for BlazBlue. i am currently feeling like Hibiki has the most exciting song I have heard in such a long time and I will never get tired of Weak Executioner.
Guilty gear, BlazBlue, and KI, not even a competition outside of those
Another banger video panda 🐼
I love Mortal Kombat, but they’re 100% correct. The soundtracks for the games have always been lacking. The movie soundtrack slaps, but that’s the movie. It doesn’t count… But NetherRealms needs to take inspiration from the movie album. Get that 90s techno on the games!
what's the music 4:57 ?
Soulcalibur music is epic!
Where's skullgirls at? That game has the best ost imo
Skullgirls!!
MK has music??????????
4:58 what's the song?
Idk which version it is, but the song should be named Inner Shade from KOF 2000
Edit : It's from 2000's AST
Definitely not Mortal kombat, the film theme is more well known than any theme from the games 😂😂
3rd strike should have gotten a spotlight
Do these guys know SNK and its great franchises?
The only SNK franchise Americans know is Metal Slug. They don't know anything about KOF and the other SNK fighting game franchises.
Mk2 living forest theme was pretty sick
Mk1-3 had some good moments but that's about it for the series.
@@in4mus85 yeah true. I wish they’d come out with some old 90s techno for the game
Capcom vs snk 2
Watched video till the end just to listen Holy Orders a bit longer 🤟
Where is sonic the fighters. It has an amazing soundtrack!
It's literally one game and not a series.
@@in4mus85 maybe but it still has a great soundtrack!
Can you have him just do a full blazblue lore video Cas I'm like .... what
Part 2 for the songs they missed
Who actually defends nrs music?
Justin said it right, MK's best music was MK1 and MK2, the rest was forgettable. Like the Courtyard and Deadpool music from MK1 and MK2, respectively, is fkin awesome and so iconic. But everything else and current NRS music is very bleh, feels like no soul in it.
Street fighter III and guilty Gear XX/Strive
Where's third strike?
lethal league blaze anyone?
Melty
Best music: Tekken
Second best: Killer Instinct
Third Best: Guilty Gear (by the sheer strength of Millia's and I-No's themes from Strive)
Fourth best: True Love Making from Capcom vs... something, I dunno, never played the game, but that song transcends the whole series... also, Friday Night Fisticuffs intro.
Fifth best: Third Strike (can't say I care for the rest of SF music but that Chun Li theme from SF6 is effing awesome)
Sixth best: Doom/Doom Eternal OST
NRS could have been on this list with MK11 cause apparently Mick Gordon wanted to make the music but they said no.
Doom has no place on this list.
@@in4mus85 have you tried playing a fighting game with doom eternal ost on? :D
@@NoiseFetishstill makes no sense
@@irasac1 Mick Gordon's Doom & Doom Eternal ost is perfect music for a fighting game (especially if you like to play aggressively) and it's better music for a lot of games (MK for example) than whatever they come attached with.
Music is so good, it transcends the game's genre.
@@NoiseFetish i don't agree since Doom ost is made for a different type of experience. It's not made for a epic battle between two equally matched master martial artists, but rather a justified genocidal one-man-army butchering through hordes. How does the ost fit when you're the one getting combo'd or you're playing neutral? You're allowed to enjoy anything brother, i'm just sharing my pov too.

TBH, when Mortal Kombat: The Album came out after the movie I have no idea why Midway didn't just go all out in the euro-techno direction for the games themselves.
Reminder that NRS turned down Mick Gordon as a composer.
@@leithaziz2716 ain't no way-💀💀💀💀
That's the definition of shooting yourself in the foot. Did they turn him down before of after KI ost?
@@tabkg5802 He was considered during MK11's development.
@@MKF30 When it comes to announcers, sure it may be "iconic", but then you also have the KI announcer, the funny Alpha announcer, etc. For the latter, I'll just introduce you to 4th Snake and Sugarpunch Designworks to poke holes into it constantly. It's got issues to say the least. So maybe don't get cocky.
@@MKF30 yeah I can agree that old trilogy had a great soundtrack for what it aimed for, but it isn't really comparable to actual best osts like Hakaishin and Six Black Heavens Guns imo. I feel like due to songs being so "similar" to each other it isn't as memorable.
Most fg fans don't like nrs games so it's not surprising. Especially after what Injustice 2 and MK11 did.
Sorry dude but MK and Injustice do not have the best announcers and especially the best story. ArcSys announcers are pretty much unbeatable, while story wise MK may be good, but Injustice is so bad that I can't even describe it. It is so bad in fact that the best thing about it is the old comic books it produced....which are non canon now so yeah
As a BlazBlue fan, it's indisputable that Jiyuna likes BlazBlue. That explanation of hakumen's timeline is probably the most coherent explanation you can get
Some of it got kinda mixed up with other character lore but yeah lmao
So glad they covered KI individually. I adore soundtracks and the KI soundtrack is easily top 10 OST of all time. Every song is stand out, catchy, unique, and fits their character and stage perfectly. In game the music is dynamic with the pace of the fight but on track Mick still edited them to work as a single song. Village of Whispers and Sandstorm best VGM SSS+ tier.
no need to debate on KI. Since the one who composed the music was the same person who composed DOOM Soundtracks
Cinder's theme never leaves the playlist, it just doesn't.
There's tons of fantastic fighting game music out there...and it's all fighting for second place after KI. KI music sounded just as good and polished as it does today back in _1994_ when everything else was chiptune or low-quality samples.
Listen, Im not a rap kind of person
But when TJ's theme comes in.... my man it goes HARD

I've been looking for and liking everyone of your request comments. Mainly.for you consistency.
They noticed, I'm here for this storyline. It's going to be sick when it finally happens
Because of Tekken 3, I learned you could put PS1 games into a CD player and listen to the tracks. It worked with Twisted Metal 3 and THPS also.
That was actually genius by those folks at PS for that. I wish I knew, that’s so sick. And was a great to help to the musicians. I feel like all OST should be easily accessible like that.
Coolboarders 2 had some nice tracks
Tekken never misses a beat on the soundtrack front, almost all are bangers.
You know the name of the song?
Tag 2’s soundtrack is so so so fucking good
@@dontneedtoknow9629
The Tekken tracks featured in this video are:
1. Moonlit Wilderness - Tekken 5
2. Snow Castle - Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
3. Moment of Impact - Tekken 7
4. Equator Line (1st) - Tekken 7
Enjoy.
@Francisco Cerpa
Sorry but I got to disagree.
Guilty Gear and Killer Instinct are definitely in the same league as Tekken, but Tekken completely blows every other game you mentioned out of the water for me.
Funnily enough, I hold the same view for said games that you hold for Tekken, in that they have one or few good tracks surrounded by an OST that's otherwise very mid.
I can think of a bunch of amazing Tekken tracks beyond the ones you mentioned. Authentic Sky, Kitsch, Bit Crusher, Touch And Go, Ground Zero Funk, Hall Of Fate ~Resurrection~, Poolside, Anger of the Earth, Heat Haze Shadow ETC, just off the top of my head.
At the end of the day though It's all subjective. There's no real right or wrong answers, just what is enjoyable for each person.
Tekken 5 best ost out of all
Blazblue guilty gear tekken and killer instinct music is just god tier. You could play mortal kombat with or without music and not even notice a difference
10:37 My boy Justin Wong officially announced that Tekken:dr snow castle is a banger, now I can rest in piece, having known that this ost got the recognition it definitely deserved.
What are the names of the other Tekken ost played in the video apart from moonlit wilderness?
It's easily Blazblue for me. There are SO many songs that go so insanely hard it's crazy. Bullet Dance, Lust Sin, Reppu, Condemnation Wings, Gluttony Fang, Alexanderite, Science Fiction, Variable Heart, you can legit keep going.
Honorable mention to Unist, which also has so many great songs but just not quite enough to match up with Blazblue.
The funniest thing is that BB doubles down on the ost with remixes which are either on the level of originals, or even better due to higher quality of production. BB legit had one of the best osts like ever
Walpurgisnacht bro. So good it made me look up what a Walpurgisnacht is
@@mousefire777 looking up what a Walpurgis is actually gives lore to the song lmao, it's so cool how many details and quality go to the ost.
Blazblue easily best OST in fighting games for me, absolutely love most of it
Sector 7 had no reason to go hard too
Jaeger man, that heavy metal in BB’s OST is godlike
The first 2 MK's nailed not so much the soundtrack but the overall sound design. I feel like they focused a lot more heavily on atmosphere than writing songs. But yeah, after the trilogy I couldn't name a single game with super memorable audio moments.
mortal kombat armageddon has a great soundtrack
Jiyuna totally right about Soul Calibur is NRS but with actual personality and flavor. MK got like 2 songs in the last 3 games that are at highest C tier. Same goes for Marvel Infinite mostly the Marvel character themes in that game just so bad and boring.
The Disney effect 💩
Killer Instinct will always be underappreciated in every aspect because it's so different. It executed all of those differences to perfection
One of the few games I miss not having access to. My current computer is just not strong enough to run it.
Chill
You cant mention Soul calibur without Rise Thy Sword. Its soo epic
For fighting game music it's more like which one sucks instead of which one is good. Because almost all of them are bangers.
for that the answer is easy, NRS games.
@some guy who cares about just music when NRS outsells everything else? Lol MK has the best soundtrack iconic song out of every fighting game it’s just not used in the game but has been used in the trailers.
Some of my favorite fighting game music ever is The Last Blade and The Last Blade 2. It's got that Soulcalibur-esque feel, but a little more old-timey. It was one of the first video game soundtracks that I actually downloaded onto my computer back in the late 90's when I was a wee babby Neo-Geo player.
9:47 Petition for Jiyuna to make a summary about Blazblue/Guilty Gear lore and their music themes.
Marvel and tekken probably the best music imo
I dont think played Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance & Deception because most of those stage themes are pretty good, but that could just be the MK fanboy in me🤣
the mk3 subway theme is awesome, but obviously mk music can't compete is not as iconic and honestly no one cares about mk music
I wanna give a shout-out to Under Night for the best versus theme ever, namely Mutual Situation (Hyde vs. Seth). The way it combines the two character themes into one in such a seamless way is pure genius. I don't even play UNI, but it gets me so hyped up.
Moonlit wilderness my favorite ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

MvC2 has the worst ost of the whole classic series
I'm going to need a supercut of all the clips of them just jamming and singing to the music.
MK1-3 had some decent tracks. Goro's lair, mk2 anything, the church from mk3. Don't sleep on those
Street fighter, marvel, soul calibur, killer instinct and guilty gear are top tier imo.
Also When J Wong said Captain America I felt it.
Imo mvc2 is b tier but all the other games’s osts are S. I feel they get overshadowed by mvc2, which is highly unfortunate. CapCom, Jin, Strider, Captain America, Spiderman, Wolverine’s MSHvSF themes are classic and way better than mvc2’s themes
MVC2 ost is the worst in the series.
