Woohooo I am leaving Barcelona in a few hours on my way to Malaysia. So excited! I have been want to visit Malaysia since over 13 years ago and now I get the opportunity. Alhumdulilah. I get to see Ramadan in Malaysia.
I almost broke down in tears when I saw your reaction to many people wearing hijab. Hope you will one day find a loving community that embraces who you are and allow you to be who you want to be unreservedly.
The reason why you see a lot of "foreigners" is actually because Malaysians consist of not only Malay people but Chinese and Indians as well who all identify as Malaysians. We have lived together in peace for a long time. But there are also a lot of expats and foreigners from other countries who work here, some come for holiday, others tend to make KL their base because of easy access to other countries. The Grab driver mentioned the cost of living from a perspective of a local. But if you're a foreigner that comes from a country with a strong currency or are earning salary in dollars, then the cost of living in Malaysia is among the cheapest in the world. Just thought I should mention that to you. Ramadan will be starting soon, so you'll get to experience Ramadan and Eid culture here in KL! May Allah protect you both and bless you with an amazing time in Malaysia
You must be an amazing human being. You don't even know me personally yet are making baseless assumptions about my race and nationality. You think the name Khan only comes from Afghanistan? Typical backward racist mindset. You might be a Malay but your attitude is no different than a Zionist.@@mrastazwanan8803

As a matter of fact, we visited Yunnan after watching your videos. What more could we ask for? Have a great holiday in Malaysia.
The leaf at 40:40 is not for eating. Malay people usually eat with their hand, most restaurant provide handwash basin/sink. Some people also eat with spoon & fork. There are also chinese restaurant where they serve food with chopstick, but the chinese food in chinese restaurant in malaysia is generally not halal because most chinese in malaysia is not muslim. You can bring your own chopstick to restaurant that serve halal food. Most of the muslims are malays, followed by indian muslim (mamak), and small amount of chinese muslim. There are also other indigenous people in Malaysia called orang asli.
Bro, at 35:51 the Indian guy said something to your wife in Hindi which was "Mai thum sai Ma ko malatha hun, khana kalatha hun" - it means in English that "I will introduce you to my Mom and take you out to eat". That was very inappropriate of him to say to your wife and very disrespectful, that is why his friends laughed in the background. You must be very cautious of keeping your wife away from strange men. They were nice to your face, but disrespected you in their own language infront of your face as well. May Allah protect you and your wife from such people, Ameen!

I’m also from a small city in Malaysia. I’ve been to China twice, Beijing and Xian. Not much can be said about Beijing because it’s a guided tour. But we explored Xian on our own. Viona reminded me of an elderly auntie wearing hijab at the back alley of Xian. She was so excited to see me, a foreigner wearing hijab. Hahahha. She donned her hijab just like Viona. I still remember she warmly held my hand and chatted away excitedly in Mandarin, which I do not understand. Hahahha

A mainland Chinese told me, many Chinese tourist love to visit Malaysia. The reason is they are able to converse in Mandarin with the locals , they also had a chance to practice their English. If they felt some difficulty during conversation , they could just switch back to Mandarin instead. Third Malaysian stuff are cheap affordable to all the middle class travelers. So by conclusion Malaysia is considered the lowest difficulty level in the whole world among the mainland.
Not all Malaysian Chinese can speak Mandarin. The ones who can speak or understand it are the ones who went to learn it somewhere, because their Chinese language would be something else like Hokkien or Cantonese, Hakka, Teochew, Fuzhou, Hainanese or Foochow
@@We_Want_It_All well it is actually the opposite, those you mentioned are dialects, and not all Chinese can speak different types of dialects, especially the younger generation. Malaysian Chinese typically converse in Mandarin as they learn basic Chinese (Mandarin) in the school.

Welcome to Malaysia. I wish I was there when you guys were there. I can bring you guys to “jalan-jalan” haha. Enjoy your time immensely in Malaysia. Take it easy. Don’t rush anything. And unfortunately that long waiting time is normal in KL and Malaysia in general. Well I wouldn’t call 20 minutes long cause I am so used to it 😂.
