I really like this option and makes me want a Synology device lol. I would use it mainly for my parent's PC so that things were backed up. Great video and I enjoy the content!
So this is basically a normal external drive bundled with some proprietary software that does simple file backups & sync for the average Joe. $200 for 2TB of SSD. Yikes...
This product isn't for everyone. This is for people who don't necessarily have a lot of tech knowledge who want a simple solution that just works without any complicated setup. Plug it in. Install the software. Configure with a couple of clicks. DONE.
This would be handy on a laptop docking station. So you can get a hands off backup whenever you're docked if you work semi-remote.
Literally how I have it set up right now: imgur.com/a/Tu2FSth

I'd love to get several of them to give out as backup solutions to friends and family
Looks great ! Great to see you again too :-) Will it also seemlessly backup from Linux and MacOS ?
But can you use your phone to view the files that are updated from the computer?
You should be able to as long as you're logged in with the same account
For someone who wants a local 'Set it and forget it' backup ... it looks like a good option.
Agreed! It's a super simple solution that takes up almost no space at all on a desk

This is pretty dope…
Thank you.
That's the latest tech from their high-tech subdivision, Clownology.
woooooo, they invented external hard drives!!!
LOL
Honestly, I think it's a good solution for people who don't know much about computers.
This product is definitely more about the software than the hardware
Ya know what this needs…. POE & 2.5G Ethernet 😊
