Looks like a cooler idea than the actual movie was
I feel like the only reason a lot of movies have a lower budget than other movies is so that they don't flop as easy. Every movie should have a low budget, so then that way it's basically impossible for movies to flop.
But then unfortunately all those huge studios wouldn't be able to claim hundreds of millions of dollars as a "loss" every year. There is a great video about movie economics somewhere here on youtube that is pretty eye opening. Essentially pointing out that they purposefully inflate budgets, and minimize returns in order to claim losses and get tax breaks among other perks. It is borderline illegal, but some kind of weird financial loophole they have been exploiting for decades now, and is in dire need of change.

I thought the movie was really good & intense. I thought the female cosmonaut was the heart & soul of the movie. Costa Ronin is good in everything he’s in!
The second “twist” with the American male was super dumb. It didn’t work at all and I was just waiting for it to end.

I've heard this is alright but the characters make some pretty dumb decisions. I'm pretty much snowed in this weekend. But luckily nothing I really wanna see comes out until next week with The Fighter and Badland Hunters.
I didn't watch the trailer and thought the movie was likely more enjoyable not knowing the major plot point of there being a war down on Earth. What I didn't like was the. MacGuffin of Node Zero... Completely unnecessary other than the film makers thinking the stakes always have to be the highest they could possibly be.
First time watching this guy reviewing... I gotta say... he seems to get it. Review was on point and his humor was on point... pleasantly surprised ... thank you

Just finished watching it (as I guess it went straight to streaming) and came here to see if I missed something, but no - it was a terrible movie.
The thing is - low budget sci-fi can work really well. Moon by Duncan Jones with Sam Rockwell for example. Budget $5m. Excellent movie.
The fight scene didn’t actually look too bad - reminded me of the fight scene in Inception. The trailer was pretty good though 😂
