Got to give you your props! It's December 2021 and my daughter just uploaded the new Season 1 Chapter 3 and she wasn't hearing any sounds. I found your video and went all the way to the end. We did all of your suggestions. Updating the controller helped with the sounds outside of Fortnite, but not the game itself. The last solution is what did it for us. The scanning to the HDM1 setting and resetting the resolution to 1080 brought all of the sounds back! Thank you so much for this video! She is very happy right now! and because of this video, I am the best mom in the world! :D as an added bonus I subscribed to your page! ;)

My xbox was stuck on the green screen for 15 minutes last night...was forced to try and reset the console and keep apps to try and boot it.
This worked, but I lost my sound...I was convinced it was fried. Never thought to check the over scan settings....found the culprit thanks to this video...the override was set to DVI during reset...
Switched it to hdmi...and then back to 1080p. Sound works!

I can hear out of my headset perfectly fine when it comes to the game I just can't hear my opponent when I'm playing head-to-head I can see the voice is going up and down on the screen but I can't hear them and I also can hear myself through my mic do you know what it could be

Idk if u figured it out. I used all these options and watched other videos. Finally found that said “also reboot your Xbox as last choice” it worked for me lol. Go to your Xbox and hold the power button for 10 sec. wait like 2 minutes and turn it on.

My buddy hit this problem with his system and we tried all the solutions shown in this video plus checking how clean the tv and xbox ports and the hdmi cable were. We then tried an entirely different hdmi cable and still nothing. We were using the system completely fine last night then suddenly just no audio at all today. Anyone know of any work arounds?

You have to turn stereo uncompressed on in headset audio that’s what helped me but unfortunately I still can’t hear anything

I can hear game volume when I play my games and I move around on my Xbox dashboard but if I go to Spotify the song is playing but there's no sound at all it's even doing it for Pandora

Hold xbox button down for 5-10 seconds it will restard your xbox. Worked for me. If that doesnt work, make sure you are using fully charged batteries. RECHARGEABLE give me a hard time with audio.

Hi teally am having issues setting up the headphones. The icon in the top left has the cross through the mic but it is rwally weird when i go into the different setting for instance audio and music i cannot click on the headset volume the headset chat mixer or mic monitoring. All what happens is the search for a music app is highlighted. I have spent so much time on this trying to fix it with no joy any help eould be appreciated.

My xbox was in a limbo type state. Like it was trying to reboot itself. The white light on console was blinking. But there was no audio. It just randomly turned off and I turned it back on and audio is working.
I still can’t hear and when I go into a party it my mic goes off but only when I blow into it. I’ve done all the updates and controller updates and still doesent work. It says my mic is connected but it don’t work. If someone can help me it will be a life saver

When I went into device setting to update my controller I noticed that the volume buttons was grayed out. Do you have a recommendation on this. I still can’t get Xbox to have sound.
I’m having the issue on the series x where certain clips don’t record with sound. The clip still records and you can play it there’s just no sound. It only does this like 1 out of 5 times. 75% of the time they record with sound but sometimes they don’t and there’s no logical explanation because I’m using the exact same settings and playing the same games and recording the clip the exact same way. By holding the share button on the new series x controller
I tried all of them and still have no volume any other suggestion I know the head phones work it just stopped in the middle of my game

Try resetting your xbox. Hold power button down for 5-10 seconds. It was working for me for months, but now i have absolutely zero audio and NOTHING is working

Take the batteries out of your controller and put them back in. Turn controller back on. If that doesnt work try holding down the power button on your xbox for 10 seconds and restart it.

The audio not fixed. I connected Ethernet to make the Xbox get faster internet and after that is when I lost sound from Xbox to flat screen -- headset works fine, flat screen works fine too, but no sound from HDMI connected Xbox🙁

Instant sub from me in 2024. My brother just let me borrow is Xbox One to play some games on his Game Pass account. I'm hard of hearing, and you absolutely need audio cues for Assassin's Creed games. After hours of dealing with one bullshit problem after another, when I started the game, I realized it wasn't just my bad hearing, there was ZERO audio happening.
